If you want a chill, simple and easy racing game with a bit of progression and competitiveness, this game is great. The main singleplayer races with AI are a good way to get used to the game in the early stages, but after a couple races of getting used to the controls, it becomes very easy. Even on the max level AI, they constantly crash especially at the start, and sometimes get stuck in the middle of the track, blocking your path. Although the AI are a bit washed at racing, the customisation for your cars looks great, giving you a nice variety of parts and colours to fully customise all the cars you unlock. However, apart from the fact that each vehicle has different weight, top speeds etc, there isn't any tuning, meaning a couple cars are a lot better than others. Unfortunately, there isn't any online multiplayer racing aside from split-screen, but the leaderboards are a good enough alternative. However, after playing on a certain map for a bit trying to get a better time, it stopped updating my position, even though it clearly said I had a faster lap time. Additionally, you cannot scroll to see other times, so unless you place right near the top, you can't really see the best. Overall I really like the game thus far. The handling fits the aesthetic of the game really well, even if it's a bit janky at times, but that makes leaderboard positions more rewarding. Visuals and audio are great, and some of the track designs are pretty cool, but there should definitely be more.
Nice little racing game. Racing is arcadey but also has a physicsy feel to it. Its is very straight forward, there are no boosts, drafting, or power sliding type of mechanics, its all about taking good lines and handling the weighty feel of the cars. The game is easy to look at due to the softer render style and nice colors. There are a lot of tracks and cars, I think over 20 and they're made well. Some tracks have helicopters and planes, which imho is a signature sign of good arcade racers. I wouldnt pay full price for it but on sale it's a fun jump in and out game.
