Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Sep 1 → 8.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Sunkenland is an exciting post-apocalyptic survival and exploration game set in the near future when water covered most of the Earth. Explore sunken cities, scavenge resources and valuable technologies, build your base, trade, fight and survive.
Diving
Explore the sunken skyscrapers, nuclear powerplants and subway tunnel. Gather resources, seek out lost technologies, and collect rare pre-apocalypse items. Build diving devices to assist your underwater journey. And be wary of the unknown danger awaiting you in the depths of this planet.
Base Building
Build your base anywhere you want. Will it be a water stronghold, an abandoned ship base or an island penthouse? You need it to keep yourself refreshed, craft items, farm, store items, and stay protected. With the modular building system, you can create your ideal enclave and stylize it with decorations found throughout your journey.
Base Defense
Defend your base against clans of pirates and mutants. Build high walls, barbed wire, traps, surveillance system, and artillery to keep the enemies out of your territory!
Crafting
Build everything you need, tools, weapons, a jetski, and even a helicopter. You will need different workstations and blueprints in order to craft complex items.
Survival
Gather food, hunt sharks, grow plants, and manage supplies. Make your base sustainable as resources are scarce in Sunkenland.
Vehicles
Build and upgrade many types of vehicles including sailboat, jetski and gyrocopters. They will make your exploration much more convenient.
Fighting
Fight mutants and pirates. Raid enemy atolls and steal their resources. Use melee weapons, firearms and explosives. Fight on ocean and land. Operate mounted heavy weapons to destroy enemy boats.
Trading
Trade with friendly atolls for supplies, weapons, armor and rare items. There is no universal currency, only item for item.
Co-op
Cooperate with friends and survive this oceanic apocalypse as a group. Build bases, dive, explore and fight pirates together!

Okay. So. I've played the game a bit since the update dropped. Has my opinion changed? ... Unfortunately, I don't think it has, but perhaps I now have different reasons for having it. I once said this game was "dead." It isn't. It's "undead." And I'll explain that in a minute. This still almost hurts to write. When Sunkenland first came out, I was immensely excited for it. It was definitely bare-bones; most of the ocean was empty and barren, the graphics for the mutants and people were clearly placeholder images, the tech tree was almost pointless. As friends and I played, we critiqued all of it, how we'd do things if this was our project. Yes, as we played, the game was actually FUN. And soothing. And even though it was sparse, it was still beautiful. Then bonus, as the updates came out, it was almost like they were listening to our conversations -- every idea, every "improvement" we'd brainstormed showed up in the game! The ocean floors because alive with more and types of life and ghosts of the drowned world of men. Graphics improved. The tech tree improved. World building improved. A mission system was introduced. Surface naval combat was introduced. For awhile there, it was looking like the sky was the limit. And then everything just...stopped. It's back now, with a MAJOR update! But is it actually any better? Well, let's see. They added primarily "end game" content, and made it so your old saves aren't compatible with the new content. So yeah, lots of new stuff to see; but you have to repeat all the old grind you've already done (if you're like me, several times now) to get to it. And this is becoming a pattern with this (and other) early/pre-release games. Hence the "undead" label. Waiting as long as the community has for this update, are the graphics better? No. They overhauled the quests and tutorial feature. ...and now the tutorial has you trying to take out a Marlin in shark infested waters. Whole ocean full of Marlin...and it directs to you to school next to a shark. Really? More locations! So many more that you tend to actually overlap, drawing aggro from enemy islands as you try to gather resources from "safe" zones. Speaking of enemies, is the combat better? Not that I can tell. In fact, the mutants now have what I think is supposed to be a lunge attack, and it looks like they are teleporting to me to perform it. I still feel like the game has "stopped" at a point where you can't help but see where it was going, but instead of actually GETTING there, they've revealed even more track. When I thought the game was dead, I said it was at a point that it was like seeing an Olympic runner collapse a few feet from the finish line. Still kind of feels that way, since I can't see what they "improved" in the over all game mechanics, but did reveal it's not a sprint, it's a triathlon. The shortcomings in the game now feel ignored, which I KNOW they're not. Which makes the basic shortcomings feel intentional. Like, they looked at it and said "Good enough." It really re-enforces the "Wow...so this is it, eh?" I am thrilled beyond words the game isn't dead (I hope?), and I really want to recommend it! I really do! ... I just can't. Yet. I feel like the devs need to offer a free to play demo version of the game. Let you, the player, get feel for what they're making here and decide for yourself if you want to help support it "as is" on its journey to completeness. I'll keep playing from time to time, and I promise you if I see any reason -- any reason at all -- to change my stance to a "Yes" recommendation, I'll absolutely do it. Because as I said, I really, REALLY want to. I just can't. Yet. :(
only 5% of the playerbase was able to get the easiest achievement in the game (walk 100 meters). How does this game have 9k positive reviews. This is statistically impossible.
Another game abandoned by its devs. Its time Steam takes responsibility for these.
I keep coming back to this game, play it for an hour, and then see where it is going... and stop playing it. It has promise... it reminds me of 7 Days to Die, you just have opponents who can shoot back. In short, when playing it, you swim out to a spot, loot piles of crud (mostly metal fragments), and then swim back to see what you can make out of it. This is no Assassin's Creed or Fallout 4. It has promise, however the map is just a tic-tac-toe board of things to loot. I was hoping for a Waterworld type experience... flooded cities to explore... I think I am tainted by my experience with Subnautica. I am guessing if you like 7 Days to Die, you'll find something similar in Sunkenland. The world is not a sandbox... you can't create blocks or destroy things to build anew, etc. Enemies are cardboard cutouts. It is fun at first... hopefully will get better in time.
