It's a single dev project. It looks and plays like this. I was ok for first couple hours. But i dont have the nerves to handle the inconsistencies and ideas of the dev. - You find full fuel canisters with a content 10/10 (asume liters) - You can find cars - You can refuel cars with fuel canisters - Full fuel canister fills like 3% of cars (some jeep alike) tank - Car loses 1% of fuel every like 100m another story: - you can craft saw bench - you need a fuel for it - NOW YOU NED SOMEHOW TO FIND OUT THIS: - you need to mine coal - you need to find oil pump on the map - fill oil pump with coal as fuel - oil pump generates oil BARRELS - thats the fuel for the saw bench
Mesorift Survival, developed and published by Meik.W Interactive, is an Early Access open-world survival game that builds on the familiar foundations of the genre while attempting to stand out through its scale, multiplayer flexibility, and a slightly more unpredictable ecosystem that includes prehistoric threats. Set across a chain of tropical islands, the game places players in a harsh environment where survival is not guaranteed, and progression must be earned through careful resource management, exploration, and adaptation. From the beginning, it establishes a classic survival premise—start with nothing, gather what you can, and slowly carve out a foothold in an unforgiving world. The gameplay loop follows a well-established structure. Players begin by collecting basic materials such as wood and stone, crafting rudimentary tools, and gradually unlocking more advanced equipment and structures. This steady progression creates a satisfying sense of growth, as each new tier of crafting opens up additional possibilities. Base building plays a central role in this process, allowing players to establish safe zones, store resources, and defend against both environmental and player-driven threats. While the systems are straightforward, they are effective in creating a sense of purpose and long-term investment. Exploration is one of the more engaging aspects of the experience, particularly during the early stages. The game’s island setting provides a mix of environments, from dense jungles to scattered industrial structures, each offering different resources and risks. Moving between these areas encourages players to take calculated risks, especially when venturing into zones that may contain valuable loot but also greater danger. The inclusion of AI-controlled dinosaurs adds an extra layer of unpredictability, turning routine exploration into something more dynamic. Encounters with these creatures can shift quickly from manageable to chaotic, reinforcing the sense that the world is not entirely under the player’s control. Multiplayer functionality is a key component of Mesorift Survival, offering both cooperative and competitive experiences. Players can choose to engage in PvE-focused gameplay or participate in PvP environments where other players become an additional threat. The ability to host dedicated servers and adjust settings provides flexibility, allowing communities to shape the experience according to their preferences. This adaptability is one of the game’s strengths, as it broadens its appeal and gives players more control over how they interact with the world. Despite these strengths, the game’s Early Access status is clearly reflected in its current state. Many systems feel incomplete or in need of further refinement, and technical issues such as bugs, performance inconsistencies, and uneven AI behavior can disrupt the experience. While these problems are not uncommon for a game still in development, they do impact immersion and can make certain aspects of gameplay feel less reliable than they should. The ongoing updates suggest that the game is evolving, but at present it still carries a noticeable level of roughness. Another challenge lies in the game’s overall identity. While it successfully delivers the core elements expected from a survival title, it struggles to differentiate itself in a meaningful way. Much of the experience is built around familiar mechanics—resource gathering, crafting, base building, and repetition—without introducing significant innovations. The addition of dinosaurs and the island setting provide some variation, but they are not enough to fully distinguish the game from others in the genre. As a result, the experience can begin to feel repetitive once the initial progression curve has been completed. Visually, Mesorift Survival presents a moderately detailed world that captures the atmosphere of a tropical environment, though the level of polish varies. Some areas feel well-realized, while others appear less refined, creating an inconsistent presentation. Lighting and environmental effects help establish immersion, particularly during changes in time of day, but animations and interactions can feel somewhat stiff. These visual inconsistencies reinforce the sense that the game is still a work in progress. Ultimately, Mesorift Survival offers a solid foundation for a survival game, with enough systems in place to create an engaging experience for players who enjoy the genre. Its combination of exploration, crafting, and multiplayer interaction provides a framework that can be both rewarding and entertaining, especially when played with others. However, its lack of innovation, technical issues, and unfinished elements prevent it from fully realizing its potential at this stage. In its current form, Mesorift Survival is best suited for players who are comfortable with Early Access titles and are interested in watching a game evolve over time. It delivers a familiar survival experience with a few distinctive touches, but it has yet to establish itself as a standout entry in the genre. With further development and refinement, it has the potential to grow into something more compelling, but for now, it remains a work in progress. Rating: 7.0/10
Top Spiel! Weiter so
Its great, good community, continous development.
Was taugt das Spiel jetzt schon? 🦖🔥
I've only got 4 hours invested as I write this, and I did get it on sale for $5, but even at $10 this game would already be a bargain. There is some minor lag when enemies spawn/render but it is brief and could just be my 5 year old PC. The loot is scarce and can sometimes be hard to see, but not a major issue. All in all, I encountered at least one dino not listed on the wiki which was a fun surprise, and the AI Humans are fairly easy to beat with an axe. Can't wait to see the monthly updates happen as per their roadmap, cause this game has promise.
