A bloodstained white collar
Dirt on your shoes
Your shoulders are aching
Is this but a ruse?
A coven is suspect
A church is aflame
Who is the culprit?
Who is to blame?
Ocean screaming,
Twisting turning
Mouth is dry,
Eyes are burning
But you must tread on,
There is no remorse
Brush the saltwater film

The game is interesting in concept and execution. The gunplay, gun variety, and movement feels satisfying. Enemy variety is unique and makes you think before attacking to a degree but overall is a fast-paced shooter. However, the story is a little lacking with not much being revealed about the main character (in a single run), and it kinda feels like the story was slightly tacked on as updates were being released. I enjoyed the environmental story telling of how each enemy type and background details unfolded from one area to the next. Like how the church people are searching the caves to look for lost souls to strip their flesh in order to "save their soul". How the masks being removed gets the zealots killed, and how the Witch's corruption had spread throughout the landscape. But in terms of the actual story... the ending felt very rushed. Waiting for the witch update to finally come out, the boss fight was pretty underwhelming. I am glad for a New Game+, but what's disappointing is that the game somewhat lacks challenge once you get certain weapons. Bosses and enemies become a complete joke with certain combos and the only thing keeping the player from deleting the gun that they made (which takes long to level up) is either to challenge themselves or to try new things. The strange thing is that the first act, the cave, felt more focused with a genuine level design concept of something thought out. The Cave not only has a more unique boss, but also has a mini-boss and reward with more levels. But the other areas never share the same thing, which sucks because I feel there could've been more variety with the design of the levels with unique one-off segments or challenges similar to a mini-boss room mid area. I'd like to see more unique rogue-lite elements added to levels with curses or blessings based on how deep you've gotten into the world, which a larger variety of melee weapons
Одна из самый балдежных игр в которые я играл, как же я рад что нашел эту игру :D
the first time you blow some dudes guts out with a twelve gauge and sell his organs, youll never recover from the dopamine rush
I'd give a neutral review if I could. The actual gameplay is fun. Experimenting with weapons and shooting goblins is entertaining for a number of hours. Past that and the game struggles. The main draw is the gun customization, which requires you to use a weapon to level it up, then apply scrolls/oils to change its attributes. If you've been stockpiling oils, there's no way to search them within a container, so you'll have hover over each one and read the tooltips. This can get a little tedious when you have 30-40 different oils. Unlike the scrolls, the icons are not distinct enough to easily differentiate them at a glance. Instead, the oils are colored relative to their effect, but I have a hard time differentiating colors like pastel blue, sky blue, cobalt blue, and pastel mint from each other. If you apply an oil, and decide you dont like the effect, you can scrub it for a cost, and DONT get the oil back. Gotta go track down a new copy. There's no preview system or way to experiment with builds before committing the resources, which makes experimentation require more grinding. The quality of life is rough in places. There's no autosort feature for containers, so you'll have to play Tarkov Tetris with your hoard across multiple containers around the hub area. A lot of the game ends up being inventory management. There's a variety of random things about this that annoy me, like being unable to eat food off the ground. This necessitates I drop items to make room, pick up the item i want, chow down, and grab my stuff back off the floor. Some of the icons are too dark and dont show up well in the inventory screen. Multiple times I've thought an inventory slot was empty when there was actually a reflex sight in it. The main reason to stockpile things is to complete quests given by NPCs, which are all generic "fetch X number of Y item" in exchange for stamps, which lets you buy more storage and a few base upgrades. The mix of roguelite + extraction shooter gameplay does not compliment the actual gameplay in my opinion. While guns can be insured (for a massive 10k, I ended the game with 40k) so you get them back if you die, you'll still lose your four pieces of armor and four trinkets, plus any items, ammo, and money in your inventory. There's no way of getting a specific piece of gear, so you'll spend a lot of time mindlessly running the first level since they all drop the complete pool of weapons and armor. A lot of this is rendered moot by the fact the game is really easy, even on hard. Enemies are pretty dumb and dont really compliment each other. Some of the later levels have more interesting enemies but I found most of them boring to fight. The game often decides that challenge == more enemies. Boss fights are fine to awful, most of your time fighting the Desert boss will just be waiting. Balance is all over the place. Pretty much every weapon is better chambered in 12 gauge or 50 cal. Shotguns and sniper rifles are generally outperformed by pistols or assault rifles re-chambered. There are hundreds of recipes for making food, but most of it just restores health, and not always for more than its base ingredients. So many of the food items are just fluff, and many of the recipes are invalidated by easier, better healing recipes. Some of the oils and scrolls have no utility. Guns have durability and adding more oils/scrolls costs more durability per shot. Bullet hoses will break themselves in a few fights, making high damage single shot weapons far superior. Relatively speaking, you could just bring more repair kits, but they take up valuable inventory space, while ammo does not. I want to like it, but it feels like a solid shooter built on a mix of mechanics that neither clash nor mesh. I'll revisit it if/when new content is added.
this game is fun, played on the recommended hard difficulty which might be a tad too easy for experienced FPS players (maybe idk) so i would recommend going higher if possible. Otherwise great game interesting visuals, interesting levels and areas, great pacing.
Make a gun so strong it crashes your game. i think to sum up this game in one word i would use the word why because its insane Why?
I originally opened this game at 8pm to "set up my settings and play it the next day" Surely I did played it the next day, because that "setup" phase turned into "why do i see light and hear birds singing?" it is that good.
very addicting game, gunplay is great. lots of different builds in form of weapon attachments, different oils with buffs and tradeoffs, enchantments for the weapon. outfits that can boost the weapon types damage or give different mobility options. its a roguelike but also an extraction game, you do a run,get some loot, half way through you can port out to stash things in box at hub or you can keep continueing the run to completion. if you die you lose all you're carrying but the things you put in the stash box remain. i highly recommend this game.
even when you find some really really annoying aliens in the first place you go to and get smashed to a pulp because one teleports AAAAAAHHH!! anyway you will die I hope. I really hope you see those alien things right after you get something really good and die right when your about to kill them or get away.
