A hero's destiny is written in the Stars. The legendary KONAMI JRPGs Suikoden I and Suikoden II have now been remastered in HD!
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Sep 2 → 2.43/day in the week after.

A hero's destiny is written in the Stars
The legendary KONAMI JRPGs Suikoden I and Suikoden II have now been remastered in HD!
The Story of Suikoden I
A once renowned hero turns into a violent tyrant, and an empire falls into decline.
A Liberation Army is rising up in an act of rebellion against an oppressive rule.
One by one the 108 stars of Destiny gather to shape the course of history.
The Story of Suikoden II
Our story's hero and his friend Jowy are members of the Unicorn Youth Brigade, which participated in a drawn-out border dispute between the Highland Kingdom and the City-States of Jowston .
A few months earlier, a truce agreement was signed between the two forces, both of which were happy to see an end to the fighting.
However, hidden under the momentary peace the fires of a new war continued to smolder…

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Matched by title — a reused name can pair the wrong games. * is a critic aggregate. Prices and positions are each store's United States storefront; Epic charts worldwide. Audience and Score too, except Steam's, which is worldwide.

a wonderful remaster. this is what such things should be.
top tier, easily one of the best rpg , especially s II while the graphics still keeping the OG PS1, s1 potrait update make it more bearable to play. wish they can make another Suikoden game with similiar quality (story and game-play wise) but better in graphic aspect as well.
Nostalgia hit❤️
I might revise this review as I play through the games again, but Suikoden 2 is one of my favorite games of all time for a reason. The remaster has made the games more smooth. it's a shame they didn't try to somehow fix the biggest iddue of suikoden 1, which is it's abysmal item management. If you are a curious new player, start with Suikoden 2, honestly. There are advantages to playing them both in order, like for example being able to import the first games main character, but that's more of an easter egg and the game isn't very hard. The first game is essentially a 7/10 game for its own time, whilst S2 is a 10/10 all time classic. I'm not even speaking from age based nostalgia, I finished S2 when it was already very old and I was an adult.
have fun getting steamrolled by early game pigs and have to replay the same story again and again wtf
