Subversive Memories

Subversive Memories has a somber tone and gripping narrative. The story intertwines the personal, the national, and the political into a cluster of nerves to pull at, while the foreboding atmosphere tries to warn you of the true dangers of what you're moving towards. The lighting, as much a mood setter, part of the level design, and focus of combat, is excellently used. I can't overstate how the developers made light and shadow a core part of the experience and hit it out of the park with it. The game is a bit shorter than I expected and than I would have liked, and the inventory limit never really comes into play, but these are really nitpicks. This was a very satisfying spooky experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Hidden Gem

Very fun and short survival-horror game in the vein of Signalis + Alan Wake (take a shot every time you read that in the reviews down here). Definitely nothing groundbreaking, with combat not being a super huge focus as well. But it tells a very real story and shines a light on issues in Brazil's past that I've never known about. Save room music is fire too.

Essa foi uma das joias mais impressionantes que eu encontrei no mundo dos games nos últimos anos. A atmosfera, a linguagem, as referências... Tudo nesse jogo carrega muito contexto e significado. A obra se torna ainda mais impressionante quando sabemos que sua maior parte foi feita por uma única pessoa! O cenário de games mundial PRECISA de mais experiências com esse olhar e ambientação brasileiras. Temos muito a agregar nossas vivências e forma de enxergar o mundo. DITADURA NUNCA MAIS!

Um jogo muito claramente criado por desenvolvedores com amor e paixão pelo que fazem, além de paixão pela história que estão contando e os princípios por trás dela. os gráficos são lindos, a história é cativante do começo ao fim e as mecanicas/puzzles do jogo são faceis o bastante pra não serem frustrates e desafiadores o bastante pra não serem entediantes. joguei junto com um amigo ♥♥♥♥♥♥, e ele amou tanto quanto eu, além de também ter sido emocionalmente afetado pela parte histórica do jogo. recomendo demais, é uma obra prima!
