Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 8.57/day in the week to Sep 1 → 10.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
• ICE-ISOLATED DISAPPOINTMENT ...
Sinopsis
Me he pasado Subnautica y Subnautica: Below Zero casi del tirón.

Warum gibt's so wenig environmental storytelling?
Holy S***! I just beat the game so I'm sort of "high" off of that. This game was wild, the ending is just straight up incredible and cool AF. I thought the ending of the first game was awesome but this one is just way more awesome, at least for me personally, like you just can't beat how cool the ending was. So, do I recommend this game? F*** YEAH!, There is no other game that gives you the same sense of wonder and terror the way Subnautica does, period, if you want another game that will make you feel the same way the first game did then Below Zero is it. I wanted more Subnautica and I got exactly that, there's nothing like starting this game, not knowing what to do, where to go, exploring every nook and cranny looking for resources when some freaking creature trying to eat you comes out of nowhere. Later you start unlocking new tech and moving further and further from your starting pod only for something bigger and this time with tentacles to try to eat you, it is a beautiful thing. I cannot wait till I upgrade my pc and play Subnautica 2. I know a lot of people have their issues with this game, they wanted Subnautica 2 and instead they got Subnautica 1.5 which imo is totally fine, reminds me of the old expansions we used to get for games back in the day, that's exactly what this is. As someone who only got into this franchise this year and enjoyed the crap out of it, all I wanted was more Subnautica and I can tell you that I 100% got it. If you're like me and you just discovered tthis franchise and you want more, or you beat the first game and you're not sure if you should play this one. All I can say is go ahead and give it a try because I loved it, I honestly did but I'll mention a few things that are different from the first game to help you decide. The world is "smaller" and I put it in quotes because even though there's less biomes and they're not as massive, you will still have to travel long distances as well as go very deep into some of the new biomes. In terms of how long it should take you to beat this game, I would say about the same if you take your time to enjoy the game, familiarize yourself with it and just sort of be at home with it, took me 50 hours which is about the same it took with the first game my first time through. You can definitely spend quite a bit more building and decorating things, there's A LOT more decorations and things you can add to your base, I'm not huge into decorating but I really loved the base I was able to build here. The biggest difference is that we have a main character instead of a silent protagonist, this is something I wish the first game had so I welcomed it, I know some people might prefer the way the first game did it but I enjoyed both and the way Below zero did it a bit more. This character has a mission and she's here to take care of that with your help. I really liked the voice and the actress they went with, feels like a good fit, the rest of the cast is also brilliant just like they were in the first game, plus since this game has a more structured story instead of just a bunch of survivors dying, I enjoyed discovering new pdas and find out what happened to them. The vehicles are different, I freaking love the sea truck, it combines the ease of use and swiftness of the seamoth with the home on wheels feel of the cyclops because it is modular, you can add different modules that each have a different role, like storage modules to put more things, docking module for carrying your prawn suit, as well as other modules which can make your sea truck as annoying to move around in as the cyclops. But you can get rid of the modules entirely or only add one or two and I really like this modular design. AND it has the same defense system as the seamoth so, that by itself makes it awesome.
The game is very much the same as the original one plus the cold mechanic and the penguins. The lack of a map makes traversing the environment difficult and long for no reason. The main character is so strong willed she can argue with an super advanced ancient alien, she can even turn the ocean fauna to serve her. The only thing that can stop her is another girlboss character. She is insufferable.
The ocean is beautiful, amazing, and fun! And this ocean game is too! It has a story that will snag your attention, beauty that will awe your eyes, and gameplay that makes for fun exploration and a bit of building without being too cumbersome. An excellent addition to the Subnautica family of greatness. Spaaaaace and Oceeeeeaaan! :D
Below Zero is a big downgrade from the first game. Let's address main thing first, this game is good in isolation, but comparison is the thief of joy, as a big fan of the first game, it's really hard for me to not notice changes and flaws and for them to not affect my enjoyment. There are a lot of quality of life additions, the graphics are better, the fauna feels more alive, but game still feels like a downgrade for me. If you haven't played the first game and somehow read this review, go ahead and try below zero first and then original! First game was more focused on player driven exploration and mystery, there were little hints to were should we go next. In Below Zero there player there's a goal from the start other than to survive and get out of the planet, this goal drives player to next destination, to finally arrive at the end point. This is not a bad thing, but I feel like the story was pretty weak. The story is divided in two parallel parts, one about the mc's sister and her findings and second about the architects and planet's history. I've kinda enjoyed the latter, since it was driving me to explore the sector zero more and learn more about the architects. I can't the same about the latter, it was boring, the land, which was the main setting of this part of the story, while being refreshing change of environment at first, got boring really fast. Also who invited my girl Marguerit? Bro thinks she's on the team. She literally appears just once to bring a lot of mystery to the world. After finding her, she gives one quest which rewards player with nothing of value. Then she just sits in her house on ipad and watch tiktok. You can't even interact with her to hear comments about stuff that is happening, and trust me, I've tried. After each milestone I was taking a detour to visit her, but well, nothing happened. The game makes you think she's a big deal, but she isn't, which is a really big wasted potential. The map is much smaller than in the first game and you often don't need to venture that far to upgrade your equipment (or maybe I was lucky). Player movement speed is also slower, this might be to make world seem larger or more threatening, but for me it made sluggish, especially when multiple trips between places in short time span. Despite the flaws of map, the visuals of the locations are great, I can't deny that. Another big issue is leviathans, in the first game they were very threatening (until acquisition of statis rifle), there were a lot of them around the map. Of course with more playtime you've learned to avoid them. Here, there are far too little leviathans or atleast ones that can threaten you. Most of them were in places where there was little to no progression and with game providing you guidance as where to go, meant you are very likely to fully avoid them or have minor encounters. The only ones that felt like any sort of danger were the last ones, those were great and is a big step up from final leviathans in original game, those and the zone felt really unfinished. Slower movement speed and lack of statis rifle meant you need to avoid leviathans as much as possible which is a deliberate design choice which I liked. Although I would really prefer for movement speed to be unchanged and leviathan speed increased. But you statis rifle, you had to go. The non leviathan creatures that can attack you pose no threat, you can just drive into most of them and they will just die. Why they sound like big ones? At first it seemed like something big is coming, after a while it was just another sound made by non threatening entity. While the sound design being great, it entirely removes fear factor from one out of two senses, you can only trust your eyes in identifying danger. The surface is the biggest disappointment for me, there's no real danger here, just a big area of snow you need to run or drive through. If you have the snowfox (which can be obtained very easily) there's no way you will die here. Later, I found out there are upgrades that made attacks less frequent, which can make this part of the game even more trivial. The temperature mechanic is kinda weird, when you are on surface you get cold, but jumping into the water instantly heats you up, the same water that ice is floats on. Sometimes the seatruck or prawn suit thermometer reads 1-5°C but when we leave that vehicle, our temperature meter does not drop? Also it's cold on surface, but when we go 1 meter into surface cave we instantly get warmer. It feel like the temperature system is not incorporated well into the game and is more often a annoyance rather than a challenge to be overcamed. Game, please, make me feel like I'm in danger. Base building in this game is better, there are lots of modules, decorations, etc. The issue is, seatruck can become your base pretty early on. The only gameplay reason to build a base is to have a place where you can recharge seatruck. Seatruck module system while great, removed the need to build elaborate bases. The fact that seatruck is the only vehicle you need to beat the game don't help with that. I'd love to see more use of base building. That being said, It's not bad game, but it's a really big downgrade compared to the first one. You might enjoy it, but if you are expecting experience better than the first game, don't count on it.
Steve Pardo - Rite of the Deep.
I recommend you play the first game Subnautica as this is a sequel; but it is not required. Below Zero features more voice over from your character during gameplay really making the story and exploration much more convincing and immersive. The voice messages now include photos of the people and a pop up of the character really helping you connect to them and the story more. Lots of great improvements from the first game. The gameplay is roughly the same with a few additions but in an all new section of the planet. Brrrr! Base building got additions and improvements and the game overall looks amazing. The fish physics are all upgraded; the creatures even the small ones look really fluid and real.
