About
Subnautica 2 is an underwater survival adventure game set on an all-new alien world. It is the next chapter in the Subnautica universe, developed by Unknown Worlds.
Driven from your home by ongoing conflict, Alterra offers you the chance at a new life. But as the colony ship CICADA shepherds you and your fellow Pioneers to your new home, something goes awry. The ship’s AI insists that your mission should continue. Stranded and faced with near-insurmountable odds, you must do everything in your power to survive. The future of humanity on this world is in your hands.
Subnautica 2 is being crafted as a single-player experience that you can optionally play in online co-operative multiplayer with up to three friends. You can choose from four pre-designed characters, with more characters and customization options coming throughout Early Access. Work together to explore long-forgotten ruins and learn to adapt to a planet that might not want you there.
To survive the depths and make this planet your home, you’ll need to utilize all the tools at your disposal. Traverse vibrant and breathtaking biomes with your Tadpole submersible. Design and customize bases to return to when your adventures push you beyond the safety of shallow waters. As Early Access develops, so too will your array of tools, equipment, and vehicles. Upgrades will help push you beyond your boundaries and unlock the secrets of this strange world.
Scan and study a rich world of biodiversity to understand life here. Discover everything from the smallest creatures to towering Leviathans. Experience the wonder, and sometimes danger, lurking around every corner. Every dive is an opportunity to uncover why the ship's AI is so determined to continue the mission and what mysteries lie beneath the surface of this breathtaking new frontier.
Subnautica 2 is an Early Access title in active development. Throughout this journey, we will continuously expand the world with additional biomes, creatures, and craftables, while expanding the narrative. You may encounter bugs, in-development features, and performance issues. Your feedback is the cornerstone of our development process. Join us and help shape the next chapter of the Subnautica universe.
Subnautica 2 is being developed by Unknown Worlds, the studio behind the award-winning Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero. Our journey began with the 2003 Half-Life mod Natural Selection, and today we have evolved into a fully remote, globally distributed team spanning from the United States to the United Kingdom, France, Australia, and beyond. Defined by a philosophy of open development and over a decade of community-focused innovation, we invite you to dive back into the depths with a studio dedicated to pushing the boundaries of the survival genre.

funny water game
Absolutely amazing! However, I feel like the progression being moved from top-to-bottom to west-to-east kind of made the experience slightly worse. I want to see deeper dives into more cave esque systems again! Not having the open air over you makes you feel so much more claustrophobic, and it makes challenges with Leviathans feel scary, like there is no escape. Anyway, for being an early access, this is a great start! The lack of killing predators doesn't really bother me all that much, and as much as it would definitely be a good addition, I never really had any issues with the predators other than Marrowbreaches endlessly attacking me. I also don't like that the game feels split into two sections - the beginning one in the coral gardens, and the secondary one in the ruins. After moving over to the second area, I never went back to the first one, mostly because I didn't see a reason to. It feels like this is kind of a result of the east-west format, as you have to keep moving forward instead of consistently venturing deeper. In the original Subnautica, it would be extraordinarily time consuming to make your base in the lost river. Non-rare resources are scarce and most of the time there's just no reason to. Here, you're actively encouraged to make a new one in the ruins, meaning that the new one essentially becomes your main one, as literally all the resources you need are in the ruins. In fact, I had a way better time getting resources in the ruins rather than in the gardens. Anyway, I hope these concerns will be somewhat satisfied moving forward, and I still appreciate how well-done the early access is. Although I have one last suggestion - PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL SUBNAUTICA PDA VOICE IT WAS SO PERFECT PLEASE UNKNOWN WORLDS. Thank you.
Решил сразу поплыть к дереву, как к Авроре в первой части. Меня раскусили.
if you like survival games. i highly recommend.
i love it please we neeed more tell them i will pay more money just give us mooore
I hate the ocean so much. Great game, bit harder to run than the first two games, curtesy of UE5. Looking forward to what the devs figure out
This game is still under developmet but its fun to explore. And alot more fun with friends. I recommend this game. ALthough the game world feel small but it is still in beta. I hope developer add new regions to explore in the future, exploration and base building is what i am into and i am loveing it so far.
I dream of living in a world like this
Well, it's not bad nor is it great. Still has many updates coming out and is still in early access. Good so far.
very fun, i love the new features, but its gonna be hard to stack up against the original subnautica :D
