About
Subnautica 2 is an underwater survival adventure game set on an all-new alien world. It is the next chapter in the Subnautica universe, developed by Unknown Worlds.
Driven from your home by ongoing conflict, Alterra offers you the chance at a new life. But as the colony ship CICADA shepherds you and your fellow Pioneers to your new home, something goes awry. The ship’s AI insists that your mission should continue. Stranded and faced with near-insurmountable odds, you must do everything in your power to survive. The future of humanity on this world is in your hands.
Subnautica 2 is being crafted as a single-player experience that you can optionally play in online co-operative multiplayer with up to three friends. You can choose from four pre-designed characters, with more characters and customization options coming throughout Early Access. Work together to explore long-forgotten ruins and learn to adapt to a planet that might not want you there.
To survive the depths and make this planet your home, you’ll need to utilize all the tools at your disposal. Traverse vibrant and breathtaking biomes with your Tadpole submersible. Design and customize bases to return to when your adventures push you beyond the safety of shallow waters. As Early Access develops, so too will your array of tools, equipment, and vehicles. Upgrades will help push you beyond your boundaries and unlock the secrets of this strange world.
Scan and study a rich world of biodiversity to understand life here. Discover everything from the smallest creatures to towering Leviathans. Experience the wonder, and sometimes danger, lurking around every corner. Every dive is an opportunity to uncover why the ship's AI is so determined to continue the mission and what mysteries lie beneath the surface of this breathtaking new frontier.
Subnautica 2 is an Early Access title in active development. Throughout this journey, we will continuously expand the world with additional biomes, creatures, and craftables, while expanding the narrative. You may encounter bugs, in-development features, and performance issues. Your feedback is the cornerstone of our development process. Join us and help shape the next chapter of the Subnautica universe.
Subnautica 2 is being developed by Unknown Worlds, the studio behind the award-winning Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero. Our journey began with the 2003 Half-Life mod Natural Selection, and today we have evolved into a fully remote, globally distributed team spanning from the United States to the United Kingdom, France, Australia, and beyond. Defined by a philosophy of open development and over a decade of community-focused innovation, we invite you to dive back into the depths with a studio dedicated to pushing the boundaries of the survival genre.

Es una muy buena demo del juego , hay que esperar hasta que lo completen. Hasta ahorita no veo la luz al final del camino
While it is a good game, and the graphics are awesome even though apparently i don't have the recommended graphics or something. Good, good game, but i do not like it for a personal reason. Do not get the game purely to play co-op with a friend that has a history of ghosting you.
dont like how good it looks prefer sub1 graphics. graphics dont equal good experience
I can barely run this game at the lowest graphics settings. They need to optimize it for 8 year old+ laptops.
i cant play the game, its to laggy i crashed for the 37th time attempting to make a world :/
Finished the game on the current state TWO times, with a time break of around a solid season. First time playing can be fun, including all the scary stuff, noises and music. But the fun ends after the first 10 hours. 10 hours is enough to finish the early access version of the game. 10 hours is enough to understand that the game gets less and less optimized over the time you spend on it. 10 hours is enough to fully explore the map, 60-70% of which is just a texture that ruins your PC performance. 10 hours is enough to get tired of constant weird noises that are supposed to make you feel the nerves shaking, but then you realize, it is probably nothing to be afraid of, it's just the broken noises and music scripts. 10 hours is enough to build a few more bases, to stop enjoying the building system and just start grinding. 10 hours is enough to understand that devs just made 20% of a normal sandbox and already trying to balance it, instead of making more lore, instead of expending the part where you still can explore. Not worth the money, not yet. And who knows when will it be worth the money spent? Maybe in another 3 years, when devs are finally into making a game, rather than making a single small patch with a bug fixes once in a month. The game on the current stage has not much in common with the game, thousands of people are actually waiting for. Seems like 10 hours is enough to rob you with no opportunity for refund.
Invincible fish is stupid asf. Not only does it not make sense from a lore standpoint when you're simultaneously harvesting innocent filter fish for a few oz of air or grilling other fish for meat, smashing up coral reefs for battery acid, etc... but for some reason you can't fashion yourself even a knife to defend yourself from real, lethal and near-constant threats. This is especially stupid given the leviathan class monsters always trying to eat your a$$... Additionally, this introduces a whole host of stupid mechanical issues such as predators around bases being unable to be removed or dealt with accordingly, constantly attacking your vehicles, etc. This isn't Earth ffs. It's a video game. This feature, by the way, does nothing but further reinforce the artificial reality of this world, rather than help the player immerse themselves in actual escapism. Sadly, this is not an early access issue, it's a design philosophy. While I also appreciate protecting our oceans and the idea behind harmony in nature - the hypocrisy of the features presented in this game do not really make sense. You're still destroying marine life. Just... some marine life is okay I guess? You know, when you need food, air or crafting materials. Just, like... not when you're facing imminent death by an aggressor. Yeah ok.
Actually quite a fun game, I look forward to the release, but to anyone out there looking for a lot of current content, I don't think its got $30 worth. Played with the wife, she loved it too. Just hope EA doesn't last too many years and there's a decent payout for all us supporters at the end.
