I give this game a rank C+ (65-70%) Decent game - a pleasant experience... on sale. See my profile for more details about my reviews. Additional notes: I really wanted to like this game, and I was baffled during the trailer and admittedly for the first 15 minutes. Indeed, the music is unique (but sadly very repetitive), the story is very intriguing, and the art direction is AMAZING. Did you watch the trailer? Fantastic art style, mysterious lore and characters, mesmerising atmosphere... it could have been a wonderful game. Unfortunately, the gameplay is just so repetitive, boring, and actually tedious. After 1 hour, I wanted to skip all the GAME part of it... which is everything a game design must avoid. So, yeah, a C+, "plus" for the unique take of this work of art, but "C" because it is almost forgettable. Very unfortunate!
It was honestly hard to give this a thumbs up, even tho i really liked the game. It's beautiful, moving game with wonderful mechanics. This game is almost perfect but it has a major flaw holding it back. The art style, animations, maps and everything are incredibly beautiful. Flying around the giant trees with my cool bug mech is truly awe inspiring, It could only be improved by the ability to move my camera. The story tho short, is emotionally packed in a very natural way that's hard to explain. It's a memorable and unique gaming experience filled with charm. Unfortunately it has a big issue. and that's how janky and chaotic the combat feels. whenever anything hits you, you fly off stage super fast and are forced into a fall animation that badly hurts you and then teleports you back on the stage in a spot thats sometimes not even close to where you were. It feels so unnatural and frustrating. I can't tell you how many times i was flung off the stage and could have easily glided back on with my GLIDING robot, but was violently forced into a fall animation that teleports me back on the stage, just for me to immediately get flung again and rinse and repeat, sometimes 3 or 4 times in a row in chaotic battles. It's so mentally exhausting, in an otherwise serene and relaxing game. I honestly almost quit playing just because of this. But i still enjoyed the game in the end and cried for the ending so whatever. It's all about the journey right?!

It's very cute and pretty aesthetic. The combat is interesting and unique. Piloting your insect themed mech is fun, and the upgrade system for the mech is very satisfying. Edit: After playing a bit more of the game, I got so so sick of the tedious combat that I uninstalled without finishing. It's really the least fun combat I've ever experienced in a game. Not difficult, just awkward and time consuming. Maybe it was a skill issue, but it was so deeply un-fun that I had no desire to get better at it. The entire rest of the game was super charming, it's too bad about the combat.
This is an interesting game. I would give it excellent for the idea and the design, but meh/average for the implementation and gameplay. It is still worth playing. The visuals are great, there is a cool character design and kind of cartoonish cut scenes with full 3d animation and dialogue. And there is a whole world of bugs to explore! Plus a creative RPG upgrade system for the rig. Very cool! Except that the character stories are not very well written, dialogue pace has no control, the "open" world has narrow walls and stuff that gets in your view all the time, the navigation is hard because there is no map, and controls are overcomplicated. These annoyances are tolerable, albeit spoiling the first impression from the design. But the worst part by far is combat. At first, it's hard but engaging. Then it's just annoying. At the end (boss fights) it's just ridiculous. The only useful upgrades are the defensive ones. Your weapon is very weak and can be only used as a stun gun in a narrow window when the enemies attack you. But to kill them, you have to throw them off the arena's cliff! This is an awful mechanic, which at first seems like an original challenging approach, but it gets old very fast: it's very imprecise, has to be done in time, you can't use the most useful ability for that continuously because of a cool down, and enemies get back on their feet, and you have to stun them again. Plus they attack you, you get stunned, thrown off the cliff, respawn in the middle, get attacked again, lose the ability to fly, and so on. The only good thing is that healing is "free", but you need to time it to avoid getting paralyzed and killed. This is very annoying, so after I've got the protective "shield" ability, I was just using it to collect resources and ignored enemies, unless I was forced to kill them. Oh yes, some fights just lock you in the arena until you kill all enemies, and they come in several waves. This is very time-consuming, and you don't even get any reward for killing enemies! Anyway, despite all the shortcomings, I recommend the game because of its originality. It's worth playing, even if you won't finish it, just to experience the game world, hop from branch to branch, fly with the wind and enjoy the views! It's quite satisfying and fun! P.S. Blair is just a jerk, and I don't get why they would create such an unlikable character.

a nice story. beautiful music and art and an interesting gameplay. 7 great hours
Very cool game. Played right after playing the studio's first game "Creature in the well" Love the visuals and ambiance of the game. The combat can feel a little chaotic from time to time and it's difficult to tell depth in the game when flying. Exploring feels rewarding, I would love even more of it ! The concept is cool I enjoyed the adventure !
Beautiful visuals and sound. Gameplay is a bit unusual because you have to disable and push bugs, but that makes it really unique and engaging. Eventually, you have a whole plethora of tools and each one has its niche.
