"Deceive your other self. Deceive the world." A near-masterpiece (admittedly with some dated views and terminology of queer people) that, from my first time experiencing the anime, has permanently influenced the course of my life and inspired much of my own writing. STEINS;GATE is an incredibly depressing story about fate and the gall of the protagonist to dare attempt to understand concepts humans were never meant to touch. So many moments in this story made me cry, and while I'm an easy crier when experiencing stories, nothing has ever come quite close to touching me as much as STEINS;GATE. Every ending is just fleshed out enough to make me want to write my own continuation, which I think is a testament to the quality when this game has six endings. After watching the anime perhaps 5 or 6 times over again since 2019-ish, I finally decided to dig into the source material. So much content and so many character moments I never got to experience from just the anime. I can't wait to play Chaos;Head, Robotics;Notes, and more in this series. What an incredible story and I think I'll be absolutely eating up everything else that these interconnected worlds have to offer. ( This review was originally posted to another site! I've since started Chaos;Head NOAH and I'm absolutely addicted, almost done with my first playthrough. I highly recommend anyone who loves STEINS;GATE and hasn't checked out the rest of the series, to take that plunge. Make sure to use the Committee of Zero patches and DON'T WATCH THE ANIME! STEINS;GATE/0 is unfortunately the only Science Adventure title to have received a good anime adaptation. T_T )
