Prices

Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Aug 12 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game has a steep learning curve, but once you get it, its awesome. I don't really play multiplayer, so perhaps thats why i may enjoy it more than others. The models look nice, the sounds are nice, you can even use mods to change what you want. I've had so much fun with this game. My only issue i'd say is that sometime battles can feel the exact same and the ai can get abit slow to move on their own when your not the one fighting them. If you like WW2 and rts this is great, calling in aircrafts, strategically chefs kiss. Usually I nitpick games, but I think so much other trash and slop is out there that it important to highlight that this is actaully a good game. And if you can't get into the weird mordern stuff like warno or broken arrow this may jut be your cup of tea.

I don't play those kinds of games often but I'm Sudden Strike/Blitzkrieg veteran and I really enjoyed Steel Divison 2. Game offers many interesting maps, a LOT of divisions and unit types (pretty much anything but naval units), plus we can create our own divisions, which allows us to tweak it to our needs. Playing versus AI alone isn't as entertaining but coop feels great, for some people wanting more strategic approach there is a campaign mode, but honestly I didn't like it much. There is also a multiplayer mode, which is still populate (as of 01.2026), haven't played it much though, but considering we can create our own teams, and there is huge units variety I'm afraid it might be corrupted with 'meta' gaming. All in all great tactical/strategic game for any WW2 enthusiasts.
Maps are way too big, you simply cannot give attention to all units. You cant afford to zoom in and experience the battles becuase 100 things are happening at once, at the game design is such that your attention needs to be 100% focused on reinforcements alone, you basically just play the role of a logistical reserve officer, allocating replacements to the areas that need it. Quite borring really considring the scale and what we have to work with here. Sounds are terrible, repetitive and cheesy. The game also adopts this minigame style of auto resolving battles, and so much attention was given to this aspect, it seems the game was not actually designed to play the battles, but autoresolve them, so you miss 70% oif the action, and the designers hard work on sprites and maps, all for nothign really.

Brilliant, unique addition to the pantheon of great WW2 strategy games. Its predecessor, SD1, gave us a real time tactical game on a 3d landscape with emphasis on morale and suppression. At a glance, a mix of Close Combat and Combat Mission, plus the ability to issue orders while paused and in slow motion. Plus the following features: -a front line system on the real time tactical map (RTT with pause and slow motion feature so you can take your time issuing orders). This line is shaped by volume of steady morale units in a geographic area, so it will bulge toward you if your enemy has massed troops on a flank where you have very little. And also provides a mechanism for surrender--pinned or panicky troops will contribute less line influence. If such units are caught behind the line and cut off, they will usually surrender. Additionally, this mechanic gives greater depth to the task of recon units--these will not influence the line, which makes sense given their role. So they cannot take ground, but do not indicate their presence to the enemy, either. -Distances which give real weight to motorization and mechanization. Your troops enter at your end of the map and must move to that front line. If they do not have some form of transport, they will arrive too late to do any good. But trucks and even APCs are soft targets so you must carefully choose when to dismount. -Phases of battle: A, B, C. Each phase is 10 minutes and will give you its own selection of units and points with which to "buy" those units. Once you enter the next phase, you will still have access to all units in the previous phase which you have not yet exhausted. Generally you will get access to more and heavier units later in the battle. This ties in nicely with the abovementioned movement mechanics. You can customize battle groups for skirmish and multiplayer to find the balance and selection that best suits your style. So, that is SD1. All 1944 Western Front stuff, too. Excellent debut game in a new flavor. SD2 gives us the Eastern Front around the same time, focusing mainly on Operation Bagration, the Soviet sledgehammer against Army Group Center. For skirmish and MP we still have access (depending on DLC) to SD1 and other Western battle groups, which is nice. The big new star here is the single player Army General mode. A campaign map, a turn based strategic layer in which you can maneuver battalions over roads or through forests to engage with enemy counterparts. The objective here is similar to the tactical "get there firstest with the mostest" because the resulting tactical battles are made much easier if you have, say 3 battalions against an enemy's 1. And this meshes nicely with the ABC phases that SD1 introduced--battalions farther from the front may still be able to participate in an engagement but only starting in phase B or C. Add to this details like a unit digging in and creating fortifications, and the ability of artillery and bombers to prevent units from moving up to take part in an engagement, and you have a whole that really surpasses the sum of its parts. The downside is that I now wish every strategy game with campaign/tactical layers, like Total War, had such depth to its systems! Downsides: the development studio is not large and has other projects as well, so we get DLC of mainly other battle groups and units, rarely maps, even more rarely AG campaigns. No map editor. Tactical maps can get same-y during an Army General campaign because they are all pre made, though one can auto-resolve if desired. Replays, especially created from engagements in Army General campaigns, often don't work. Overall, strongly recommend. New mechanics and innovations are risky and often turn out to be clunky and unneeded, but SD2 points the right way forward.
This war sim has me hooked. They did so much better with this one than Warno. I will stick to playing Steel Division 2 over Warno, any day of the year. I really do hope they keep supporting Steel Division 2. The sound, pace, speed, graphics, game play and all the little things / details, in this war simulator are amazing. Love it!!!
steel Division 2 is an incredible experience for hardcore strategy lovers. With its historically accurate units, massive maps, and deep tactical gameplay, every battle feels like a living game of chess. If you’re looking for serious challenges, planning ahead, and huge-scale warfare, this game is made for you. Be warned though: starting out can be overwhelming, and you might get a headache during the learning phase – but it’s absolutely worth it! Highly recommended for military history fans and players who enjoy deep, realistic strategy.
