The Bug menace is spreading. Retake and rebuild strategic bases, construct refineries, and complete high-stakes objectives to wrest control from the swarm. With massive maps featuring unique environmental hazards—from the blinding sandstorms of Valaka to the volcanic hellfire of Agni Prime—every mission is a desperate struggle for humanity’s future.
16-Player Co-Op: Coordinate between your squads to defend objectives, gather resources, and build the ultimate fortress.
Strategic Base Building: Use the refined ping system and building tools to erect walls, towers, and ammo stations in real-time.
The Carnage System: Experience the visceral reality of war as Bug corpses pile up, creating persistent physical terrain that changes the battlefield.
Intense Class-Based Combat: Master six distinct classes, each with deep progression, unique weapons, and specialized perks.
Dynamic Environment: The Bug menace is not the only thing you’ll have to contend with. The game features a time of day and dynamic weather system, which can help or hinder your cause.
The Ranger (Assault Infantry)
The Ranger is the premier boots-on-the-ground combatant, built for speed and agility. Equipped with a specialized jetpack, Rangers can rapidly traverse the battlefield to scout objectives or execute hit-and-run strikes. They excel in close-quarters combat, utilizing a versatile arsenal to keep the swarm at bay while maintaining high survivability. Whether flanking a Tiger Elite or rushing to a distant refinery, the Ranger’s mobility ensures they are always where the fighting is thickest. For the Trooper who wants to stay nimble and lethal, the Ranger is the ultimate tip of the spear.
The Sniper (Marksman/Recon) The Sniper serves as the eyes and ears of the Vanguard. Utilizing jump jets to reach high vantage points, they provide unparalleled reconnaissance and long-range fire support. Armed with the Morita XXX Sniper Rifle, they specialize in neutralizing high-priority threats like Plasma Grenadiers and Gunners before they can decimate the squad. The Sniper’s role is critical for identifying incoming waves and ensuring the team isn't blindsided. By perching atop mountains of dead bugs or high ridges, they can turn the hostile environment into a hunter's paradise, picking off Arachnids with surgical precision.
The Demolisher (Explosives Specialist) When the swarm becomes an impenetrable wall, the Demolisher breaks it. This class is an expert in all things explosive, trading subtlety for raw, area-of-effect destruction. Carrying a heavy mortar system on their back and a variety of grenade launchers, they can evaporate entire packs of Drones and Warriors in a single volley. The Demolisher thrives in high-pressure sieges, using their "Watkins Trigger" to clear out bug-infested zones. They are the heavy hitters necessary for holding the line during extraction, ensuring that no matter how many bugs arrive, they leave as green mist.
The Guardian (Heavy Defense) The Guardian is the Federation’s foremost defensive juggernaut. Clad in hardened armor plates and wielding the Morita MK3 SAW, they are built to anchor the frontline. Their core ability, Siege Mode, allows them to hunker down, increasing defensive stats and weapon stability at the cost of mobility. This makes them human turrets, capable of suppressing massive hordes while protecting more fragile teammates. If a base wall falls, the Guardian stands in the gap. They don't just kill bugs; they hold the ground that the Federation has paid for in blood.
The Engineer (Support/Logistics) The Engineer is the master of the base and the backbone of logistics. They are responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing the structures that keep the Vanguard alive. Engineers repair fortifications faster than any other class and can deploy specialized tools like flamethrowers and mines to create lethal choke points. Beyond construction, they manage the team's resource flow, ensuring ammo stations are stocked and defenses are reinforced during the heat of battle. A good Engineer doesn't just build a base; they turn a simple outpost into an impenetrable fortress of death.
The Medic (Support/Healing) Whenever a Trooper is down, the Medic is there to save the day. Equipped with a Medical UAV drone and stim-launchers, they can provide critical healing and long-distance revives even in the middle of a chaotic firefight. While every Trooper can perform a basic revive, the Medic does it faster and more effectively, keeping the squad’s combat effectiveness at its peak. They are the glue that holds the 16-player team together during prolonged missions, ensuring that every Trooper makes it home.
The Carnage System introduces a revolutionary persistent body system where defeated bug corpses no longer vanish. As you slay hundreds of Arachnids, their bodies pile up, creating literal mountains of gore, which can either be a help or hinderance, depending on the situation.
Gameplay Impact:
Dynamic Terrain: Dead bugs have full-body collision. These piles create new ramps that allow living bugs to climb over your walls, or provide Troopers with new high-ground vantage points.
Obstacles: Piles of corpses can block your line of sight or obstruct your path to extraction, forcing you to use explosives to clear the landscape.
Strategic Realism: You must manage the carnage. Ignoring a massive pile of dead bugs at your gate might give the next wave the perfect staircase right into your base!

good gameplay, a pretty fun gameplay loop but terrible servers and wait times, every other game has terrible rubber banding
Adrenalinico e col giusto caos, il sogno di chiunque voleva finalmente sterminare insetti
Soo fun to play! Please bring in tankers and hoppers.
IM DOING MY PART! Great game and casual, anyone can have fun.
Alright i liked the game - i've seen plenty of people complaining and it almost put me off entirely. But i decided to go for it. Game ran fine on my specs, epic settings no lag; Crossplay enabled, i found an easy difficulty match in a minute; Joined, picked whatever loadout seemed cooler; Gameplay is simple enough = aim, shoot - reload; Enemy corpses stay forever - while impressive, it sures feels VERY confusing making out what's alive and what isn't, when there are plenty of bugs everywhere; Everybody sticks together, which is cool; Plenty of visual indicators, that while helpful, gets quite distracting: 'ammo', players 'ping', enemies silhouette because of some players sensor ability, objective marker, etc etc. Felt very distracting; When base building (everybody is allowed to build), it gets quite more confusing, someone accidentally boxed me inside heavy walls that i had no way to jump out - so i had to deconstruct the wall and rebuild it from the other side (this happened twice, falling inside some horribly placed walls people built; The base building aspect is really cool - it just gets messy since everybody is allowed to build; The match i played was: go inside cave, clear position and defend - run to next position, do the same - repair some generators - run to next position, clear and defend. Now it's last wave, build a base and defend for 10min - done. Now run to the evacuation and no respawns allowed. It was pretty fast, we beat the match in like 25 min. Also: there is no excuse not to develop bots for offline/solo play for a horde mode. I feel like this game is simple enough and on an engine that would easily accept some sort of AI bot development to play solo or coop with a friend (especially since the game already features AI bots on the offline campaign/tutorial, that while dumb, could use some tweaks to be slightly useful). And the game system for horde mode is perfect, in my opinion: Drop in, build the HQ, build extractors, manually grab the extractors and drop it on HQ, use these resources to build walls, turrets, ammo deposits, etc. and keep on surviving for long enough.
This game doesn't run on my rig even on low graphics. It lags horribly and most of the time I got disconnected from the server at the end of the play and didn't receive the XP, so I played for nothing. Single player works perfectly, it's only multiplayer that fails, and usually towards the end of the play. This game was likely vibe coded with 2024 generation LLMs. No developer that expects to be paid for his work can create such garbage. Later: Obviously, I got this garbage to work. I have to end almost all processes that are running on my multi core system with 128GB or RAM because this junk can't handle the entities in a map. It still disconnect more than half the time at the end, when extracting but at that point I get the XP. However, just to continue to prove how low quality the people working on this title are: Now their servers don't work. You have a join button, you click it, it tells you you cannot connect to the server and you have an OK, you click it, automatically retries and again shows the message you cannot connect and again just the OK button. No "Exit" not option to change the server to a different region, you have to go to task manager and end the process in order to exit a game that cannot do anything. It's not just the developers that are 2024 level LLMs, it's the product management and Testing department too that are first generation AI. It is impossible to think that Offworld actually employs any human that would not be capable of thinking you need to put an "Exit" button in that prompt. Even Later: Today I played 10 games, all 10 resulted in crashes. If your game crashes before the mission ends you get very little XP. I have never seen a game with more bugs than this one.
GEIL GEIL GEIL!!! THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
Update in Jun 2026: It's a lot of fun now and has been very stable vs it's rough start. Random fights have a short que of less than a min and the progression is very smooth. Gratz to the devs for sticking with the game and optimizing it. I find it more fun than HD2 now.
I am doing my part, are you?
kill dem bugs.
