Reviews
Decent game. UI is a bit confusing and controls aren't the best, but the gameplay is nice.
This one wasn't what I expected. There was no mention that it was a 3rd person shooter... made it through tutorial and lost interest as I thought it was an actual strategy game similar to Sins of a Solar Empire...it wasn't.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Перевод на русский ужасен настолько, насколько это вообще возможно. Мне кажется, даже 8 лет назад автопереводчики вполне могли выдать текст получше, а тут получилось редкостное убожество. В лучших традиция охлаждения траханья углепластик.
I liked this Game a lot. The Game has open World feeling to it. Story is short, i think they should have concentrate on the Story more then the Gameplays around it with Sidequests. Sidequests repiding them selfes a lot. The Managing ships part didnt feel right, because if you send your fleet asspacialy at early game you just loose all your ships if you are not with the fleet and to get new Ships is really time intense and you dont get a lot material at the beginning of the game. If you get more teritory it gets more possible to Manage your fleets but still its better just to join the fleet and fight with them. The Time Diffrence is huge between sending Fleets and going by yourself. The AI of the fleet and enemies are really bad developed. Sometime they just fly around a Gunship or another Ship and dont do damage, so you have to fly there yourself and do the damage it was anoying and somtimes they attack and the enemies all die in secounds. i dont know why it kept happening. Overall it was a good game espacialy becouse there are not many Games like this around.
I have fond memories of this game and wanted to try it again after 4 years. I've been trying to play the tutorial for 2 hours by now. The game constantly crashes and freezes, it's frustrating. In order to play without freezes, stutters and random crashes: reduce graphic quality to high or medium, even lower, disable 4k interface graphics, and most importantly: play on windowed mode. If you play on fullscreen and the game freezes, your only way to close the game will be by forcing a PC reboot. Keep downgrading the graphics until the game stops freezing during the tutorial. And make sure your CPU is not working on anything else but this game; it's very sensitive to crashes. Usually with such instability I don't recommend a game. But I love these kind of games, and I remember playing Starpoint Gemini Warlords without problems in the past. I just can't remember if I had to do something to avoid the crashes, or if I had crashes at all. Maybe it is because I have another program downloading something. Once I figure it out, I'll edit this comment. Also, I recommend very, very much to play the game in turret view; it could feel weird at first, but you should. And here is why: The game wants you to play Freelancer style by default, flying around with the mouse... But that's good only for travelling and fighter dogfighting. In this game you will be using capital ships all the time, with huge weapon arcs to shoot around the ship; no starfighters. So, turret view and moving the ship around with the awsd controls is encouraged. If you move around during combat with a mouse instead of keyboard, you will have to rely on "fire at will" mode all the time, and you will miss the fireworks by just watching your ship firing at some enemy until they die (boring). Don't miss the spectable and use turret view. If the developers want a quality translation to Spanish from Spain, I'm open for work. Don't neglect Spanish, please. There are 500 million people in the world who speak it in 20 countries.
I like space opera genre and I like the predecessor of this game (Starpoint Gemini 2), but Warlords is just poor attempt at 4x strategy. When you unlock some endgame ship (dreadnought or carrier) you will be familiar with everything this game has to offer and you will realise that there's just nothing left to keep you playing. The game lacks depth and is just too easy and repetitive (no matter the difficulty setting). Stupid AI, boring story line with annoying characters, technical issues, lack of basic features that you will expect from a strategy game. For example diplomacy is just barebones, almost non existent; you can declare war or offer a trade deal. That's it. No proper diplomacy window accessible from map, only some reputation window under some other nonsensical window in menu. I like how the game looks (original ships designs, stations, nebulae), I like some game mechanics (capturing ships), but it's just not enough. I also realise this is indie developer project, but again, it's simply not enough. 4/10
There are 2 genders in the game. As it has always been and always will be.
Thought I was going to love this game, for some reason...I didn't. It was just way too hard in ways that didn't make sense. I was doing the chapter missions on normal, and BOOM 8 ships out of no where jumped me...twice. Something isn't right or I'm not right for this game. refunded.
Having had a great time with Starpoint Gemini 2, I expected this to be more of the same good stuff. While the graphically impressive and satisfying ship-to-ship combat remains, the story is lackluster at best and you eventually end up in a perpetual grind for more territories, which quickly becomes routine and boring. At some point the sense of progression and challenge was lost, and that's when I stopped playing, as there was no story left to sustain my interest. There is a lot of unrealized potential here and I might still give one of the later games in the series a try to see if the developer learned anything from this failure, but there's no way I can recommend this.
one of the bedst space games i have ever played
