About
Easy Red II is a tactical, realistic, historically authentic World War II shooter focused on large-scale, immersive battles that put you right on the front lines of the chaos.
Command your squad, coordinate combined-arms assaults, and fight across sprawling battlefields modeled after real historical locations of war. Playable completely solo against AI, or take the fight to other players.
Fight all across the globe. In the base game, Easy Red II features 6 extensive campaigns:
Anzio, Italy: a brutal bloody stalemate between Axis and Allied forces lasting for months in the central Italian plains in 1944.
Monte Cassino, Italy: a rugged mountainous campaign where Allied forces waged many attacks on the Gustav Line.
Tunisia: the final stand of German forces in North Africa in 1943.
Operation Flintlock: taking place on the Marshall Islands of Kwajalein and Roi-Namur: a joint operation by U.S. Army Pacific and Marine forces respectively to take captured Japanese Empire-held islands in early 1944.
The Battle of Makin: a battle coinciding with the iconic battle of Tarawa in which U.S. Army Pacific forces invaded the Makin Atoll, furthering their Island-hopping efforts in late 1943.
The Invasion of Kos: the Greek island occupied by Italians and invaded by German forces in 1943.
Across all of these campaigns, there are over 100 unique missions.
Easy Red II also features affordable DLC expansion packs, ranging from the Eastern Front in Stalingrad, the Western Front in Normandy and even across to the war-torn streets of Shanghai, China. These DLC campaigns add time-accurate vehicles, factions, and weapons—as well as over 80 additional missions combined.
Easy Red II is forever evolving. Whether it be AI overhauls, animation updates, free vehicle, weapon, or uniform additions, the game is sure to be constantly improving as time goes on.
In Easy Red II, we put you right in the shoes of the average soldier on the battlefield, fighting in recreated historical locations from the Second World War with historically authentic troop movements and orders of battle.
You aren't a special super soldier—you must traverse your way through roars of gunfire and shell-shocking explosions as you progress through the battlefield. Your survival is not guaranteed.
No man is sent in alone. In Easy Red II, you can control squads of soldiers with various roles: Squad Leader, Radioman, Medic, Support Gunner, and more—all with unique abilities allowing you to change the tide of any battle.
Operate iconic tanks from World War II, featuring detailed armor penetration, ballistics, and crew mechanics. If you lose a crew member, you may lose a function of your vehicle as well.
Some iconic vehicles range from the M4 Sherman, Willys Jeep, Churchill, Panther and Tiger tanks on the ground to aerial vehicles such as the Spitfire, P-51 Mustang, P-40 Warhawk, P-38 Lightning, F4F Wildcat and Bf 109 in the air, with many more.
The battlefield is not static. Forests are leveled, defenses torn apart, and buildings are reduced to rubble over the course of a battle.
Play online in both PvP and Co-op with friends.
Take on missions from the base game, the Steam Workshop, or from a custom mission you created yourself.
Join a friend's squad or play with your own.
Create a match whenever you want, wherever you want, on any map you want.
Create and share your own scenarios, maps, and other custom content through the easily accessible integrated map and mission editor.

A criminally underrated and scarily addicting game. I've bought it just few days ago, and already got over 30hrs in it. It strikes a great balance between arcade-like simplicity and realism, where you die from just 1-2 shots but you can heal as often as you need by munching on a truckload of tuna cans or popping aspirin pills like there is no tomorrow. There is also a bleeding mechanic (ofc), yet it won't kill you. Instead you lose the privileges to sprint or hold your breath while scoping, until you bandage yourself. Fortunately, that's not a big deal, since you can loot the wrappy cotton gold and all the stuff you need from fallen comrades or enemies. And yes, there is a whole inventory system, similar to Arma series, except you can even use attachments (bayonets, scopes, bipods, etc) and load/unload magazines with appropriate ammo (knowing calibers is important). On top of that, the game includes an impressive amount of different kinds of weaponry, featuring a bunch of niche or underrepresented equipment from lesser known fronts (the base game plays mostly in Italy and Tunisia but also Pacific front), and a great deal of historical references and attention to detail. (Le history buffs will enjoy this one.) The map that has, say, Britain vs Reich as main sides will also have squads of additional allied countries like Italians fighting alongside Germans or French and Americans providing support to British forces (if that makes sense historically for that specific battle). With certain units having captured weapons or those supplied by their allies. (In Stalingrad dlc, some German squads have captured PPSh-s for example). All the factions are voiced, with RAAAH MEHRICANS, Brits and Kiwis having different accents and constantly communicating during battle. You can even overhear the radioman calling in an artillery strike on a specific sector and hear that radio reply to him appropriately. Which ofc adds to the immersion and makes you feel like you are in a middle of a multiplayer match... Which you sort of are actually, but also not exactly... Basically ER2 plays somewhat similar to Hell let Loose, and does feature optional co-op and pvp, but it can also be fully played offline, thanks to a crazy good, almost player-like AI. - The NPCs will throw smokes, 'nades, call an artillery support on a sector (even smoke shells or armor piercing if there is a tank), get into abandoned AT-guns and mortars, repair a wounded tank mid-battle (one of the crewmen will get out, while the main gun and MGs provides support), revive wounded broskis, occupy buildings, use covers and so on and so forth. Sometimes they will even revive wounded enemies and take them prisoner, which was pretty surprising to see at first, ngl. There is also a fully functioning aviation AI, that will dive on your ass when you least expect and sometimes bomb the crap out of the house you are hiding in (especially if you are playing as a pesky sniper), and are fun to dogfight with in the air. And yes, the game features a mostly destructible environment. - Now you know. Besides all these nice details, ER2 is also pretty customizable. The interface by default is clattered with all kinds of widgets and info, but can be customized to your needs or "minimized" with F1 key, keeping only the basic interaction prompts. And helping the game look so cinematic, you would think you are playing a AAA WW2 game, like CoD World at War or smth. Or well, Hell let Loose actually. Except it runs buttery smooth on a potato like mine, with good enough graphics to provide some really unforgettable cinematic moments. The only problem I have with this game is that your squad rarely lives long enough to see much action, so you usually just run around solo. But the cool part is that you can freely switch between squad members and different roles with a radial wheel thingie, and play it all strategically and stuff. (I guess.) All in all, it's an amazing game, I highly recommend it to children above 7, elderly and pregnant women. And I'd really like to see the tuna mercury poisoning mechanic and towable AT guns in future updates (this one for the devs). Thank you.
Easy Red 2 is one of the most underrated WW2 games on Steam. It doesn’t try to copy anyone but somehow it captures the chaotic, gritty feeling of Medal of Honor and the largescale battles of Battlefield at the same time. The gunplay is punchy, the explosions feel brutal, and the missions always turn into these wild, cinematic moments that you didn’t plan but somehow survive. It’s messy in the best way. The kind of WW2 chaos that feels authentic instead of scripted.
Great singleplayer game. Gets updates, a point to which i attach a lot of attention. Much freedom of which role you want to play and big variety of theaters/weapons. Reasonably priced and absolutely worth the money, got all the DLC's and love the Ardenne scenario early war not many games include Fall Gelb. Runs well on my PC (GTX 1050 Ti - 16 GB Ram) on medium settings.
enlisted but made with actual effort and genuine passion. My favorite fps genre has always been ww2 games, and this is it man. Runs a ton better than hell let loose and has the weapon/faction diversity and the milsim inventory system that it lacks. Enlisted has a better multiplayer system and more cosmetics for soldiers but falls behind in every other way, and i can buy the best Easy Red dlcs for the price of one enlisted premium squad. Many mods, but i play vanilla for now. Looking forward to the Hungary dlc later this month.
I really wanted to enjoy Easy Red 2. You can definitely see the effort and passion the developer poured into it, and honestly, for such a cheap price tag, it's hard to be too harsh. But unfortunately, the game still feels very lacking in its current state. It’s just not an experience you can play consistently without getting frustrated. The biggest dealbreakers for me right now are the bugs and the AI. For example, you can be taking cover deep inside a trench, completely hidden, and enemy bullets will somehow just phase right through the solid dirt and kill you anyway. It completely ruins the immersion and tactical feel. On top of that, the bot aim is completely unbalanced. There's no middle ground, they either have zero awareness, or they instantly lock onto you and one-tap you with laser precision from across the map. It has potential, and I respect the hustle behind it, but until these core gameplay issues are fixed, it needs a lot more polish before it becomes a genuinely enjoyable, replayable shooter.
Я не понимаю зачем покупать эту игру, единственный толк это играть в мультиплеер, но он полон читаков и кемперов. Поэтому не парьтесь просто скачайте пиратку, игра чисто на разок
The game is really lite Its immersive and there's a great modding support for it. and yes the DLCs are worth it imo. Definitely grab this if your PC struggles with other more demanding milsim games
Moves extremely choppy even on very high-end PC. I have no idea why this game has so many positive reviews. Also there are 2k players on steamdb but there are barely any multiplayer servers with players, the game seems quite dead.
you buy this CHEAP game and end up surprised, some campaigns I hate like the Japanese but they dint have much to fight w irl so its understandable and historically accurate, you'll get the DLC, trust me, Normandy is beautiful. Was looking for games to play on my portable and found a gem that got me hooked. Addictive.
Better than many WW2 shooters these days! The amount of content youre getting is amazing and the gameplay is intense albeit a bit rough around the edges but hey its made by a tiny team! I especially love the Overlord missions which let you play every major engagement on D-Day.
