For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

At least it is pretty. This game is probably one of the worst that I've played in a long time. I mean that in the best possible way. First impressions: Oooo!! Shiny! At first I thought this would be a neat space game. Had kind of a Firefly feel to it (If you ask me to explain that you can see yourself out right now). You can choose your ships, there are planets and factions, you can mine, trade, haul, seemed like the sky was the limit. Here's the problem though; the ships are HELLA expensive. The starter ship gives you 45 units of cargo space (no mention of 45 what btw. 1 bottle of wine takes up the same space as an ATV) which nets you about 10k in credits when mining. The first 'mining' ship I found for sale (and I had to literally hunt for this) was 800k. Woot! Grindy! You can do the freelance missions to bring in a lot more money. But there is a catch. First, you have to fly around to each sector to see if there are any missions. This lets you stare at your screen for minutes on end while your ship travels through vast stretches of nothing punctuated by pockets of things that will kill you. Which means combat. Which is a bit of a problem. Combat system: Eehhhh Space combat is hard. In any game it is tough to balance between EVE style boring (You know that thing is just a pretty spreadsheet) or making it too skill based (Yes, StarCitizen, I am looking at you) but this game seems to have combined the worst aspect of both. You can manually aim but there is no "Aim here" help so you are left with firing randomly into space and hope that you hit your enemies and not your friends. You can also turn on auto fire which is the only way you can hit anything. The problem is that it doesn't follow your target. If there is only one enemy in sight, fine. If there are multiple your guns peck at each enemy at random and take forever to kill one. That brings us to the enemy groups. PVE Environment: Lousy I have played this game for a while and have found exactly 2 different types of encounters. Encounter A: Snooze-a-palooza The enemy is either "Balanced", Weak or Trivial. This means I can destroy them with my rugged good looks and the guns are there for show. Many of the enemies are like this in the starting zone. Encounter B: What happened to my shields? The rest of the encounters are either Alarming or Impossible. That should mean that you can win you you duck and weave enough (unless they have lazers) or you can just kiss it all good-bye. The ones that like to jump you, btw, are usually of the former category. OH! Also, you CANNOT run for safety if you get jumped. Stations will not allow you to dock if you are being attacked. What made me quit: Stupid missions The freelance missions (aka, how you any money in the game) gave me a mission to kill someone. It said my level was good so I went for it. I found a weak enemy (snoozer) teamed up with an IMPOSSIBLE frigate. I killed me within 30 seconds. TLDR Version: This game has ADD and is on crack. But it is pretty so... yeah... PS, the tutorial system sucks various spheres belonging to males.
Freelancer is Abandonware now and has plenty of great mods. Just go play that, much much better at everything this game attempts. (Personally i even prefer the simple, old graphics of FL to this game but thats a matter of taste) I bought this in early access and it did deliver what it promised but unfortunately you can tell the budget wasnt very high and the devs could have used more experience (unfortunate framerate problems make this game a little frustrating, as the graphics are ok, but not of such quality that you could ignore said problems.) Unfriendly and convoluted UI, boringly shallow physics and economy simulation and semi-professional voice acting make it hard to get immersed in this title. X3 has a better economy and freelancer has far better combat, sadly i can't think of anything this game does exceptionally well. Its even sadder when considering that the devs are actually very involved and community-friendly, if they had some more experienced people on their team and a little more money they could probably make an amazing game.
This is a decent space sim game, but it kind of lacks something. Main story is mostly a bunch of texts in quest log; side stories are simplistic and repetitive; game world is very static and uneventful; factions all look the same. Space battle mechanics are well done, but for me they could not offset lack of purpose or depth in other aspects of the game.
Extremely slow and mediocre space not-simulator. Everything about this game is bad-to-average. The combat is average, the story is dull, traveling takes a large amount of time in which you do nothing, audiovisuals are fine and planets are hilariously small - they appear only to be few dozen times larger than your ship. Moreover, everything is static - no economy, dynamic factions or events - hence I call it space not-simulator. Oh, and the game is level scaled so everything always feels the same. If you're better then so are your enemies, and there are no more dangerous areas for you when you are low level. Don't bother. If you want to play space simulators better get X series, if into space shooters then Freelancer series. Perhaps something else, but definitely not Starpoint Gemini series, which is just poor.
As much as I like the game concept, I cannot recommend the game when it has several game breaking bugs. Like literal show stopping to where you cannot progress. The only way to bypass is to re-load an old save, do the mission over again, then hope at the end it doesn't break...not much of a plan and extremely frustrating. Unfortunately, they never fixed this issue and it happens at multiple points in the game (probably why I was never able to finish). Example of one; For one mission, if you approach an objective from the wrong angle, the mission will break. If you approach from a different angle it will work. Yeah, ok...makes me wonder if they even tested this game. The game also has atrocious voice acting and too many extended bad cut-scenes that unfortunately you cannot skip. Having the missions break, and then having to do them over again and go through the often unintelligible voice acting multiple times is torture.
Wow... That has to be one of the worst first 15 minutes of a games I've experienced in a decade. There may be an awesome game somewhere in there, but I'll never know:

The kitchen sink thrown at you all at once with dozens of tutorials that are just walls of text accompanied by a screenshot. Awful, awful, awful... Just the WORSt way to iuntroduce your game to someone.
90% of this first 15 minutes was just me with my hands foled in front of me as my slow-ass ship went from the main fleet to the plane and then back again. Literally just sitting there.
Also, terrible, terrible voice acting, but frankly, that's no big deal. Thats aid, if the voice acting is going to be that bad, I'd rather just see the text and not hear it.
