Starfield is the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 12.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 15.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.

its basically no mans sky but with better enemy mechanics, ship builder and better graphics and has a a lot of content to keep you engaged. The add on's and community created mods are also a nice touch
Man, Bethesda, this one rides the line between good and bad. Enjoying myself so I'm leaning towards recommending, but not without some reservation/pontification about what could've been. There are parts about this game that really scratch the "Bethesda Game" itch, so if you enjoy the exploration, looting, and combat aspects of Skyrim or Fallout, you'll probably enjoy this, too. After about 50 hours, the veneer has cracked a bit, though. Lots of weird glitches--people you can't talk to because they're "crip walking", enemies spawning inside walls in my ship so I can't fast travel, crew inside of my ship that won't GTFO the way, etc. On top of that, a lot of the "rinse and repeat" quests like bounties lead you to, maybe, a new planet, but your target is probably in 1 of 5 or 6 building layouts you've already done. I get there's an upper limit here, but it'd be nice if it were higher for repeatability. Surveying is tedious in some cases, even with skills to help. Outpost building is something I loathed in Fallout 4, and though I know it's a fan favorite, I wish it was nixed in favor of fleshing out some of the other "core" gameplay in earlier Fallout games like FO3 or NV--lusher, unique storylines; exposition where I experience it from finding clues rather than some clanker-looking dude ripping an unimpassioned monologue. I will say I've done a LOT of sidequesting and not main questing, so maybe the main story is more enthralling and unique, but it feels a bit weird to already be seeing repeat stuff ~40 hours in. Based on all that, sounds like I don't like the game, but harping on what I think could be improved. Crafting, flying around, general exploration, some of the unique missions I've done so far that are more story-driven, skill diversity, and combat all feel great and pretty immersive. I guess I just feel like there was some scope-creep to include too much that everything feels a bit sparse and repetitive rather than unique and expository--but not so much that you can't enjoy it for awhile. Grab this on a 20% off sale and let her rip. GOOD: Fun core gameplay loop Variety of activities between main quests, bounties, surveying, outpost building, city exploration Flying and exploring feels pretty neat BAD: Too much stuff that's "good" but not "great" Annoying UI hell stuff (the menu nesting, dear god, ship building clunkiness) Vast and empty, kinda like space--lots of "errand boy" quests and less like... exploring a vault-type quests So many glitches (some of which are kinda hilarious, and some that are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying) More funny than serious, but who programmed the car? Drunk interns?
Not one of Bethesdas best games but if you like Skyrim and fallout 4, you will like this
I bought the game on sale just so I can play Star War Genesis Mod. Def recommend the mod, no clue about the base game
The game would have benefited from a smaller focus; they should have traded the mass number of solar systems and planets for fewer, more detailed, and well thought out planets and locations. This was Bethesda's first attempt at procedural generation (in a while) and so I expect the technology will be used in better ways on future titles, but that doesn’t mean that it was beneficial to Starfield’s game design. That being said, the NASA-punk setting they have crafted scratches the same Bethesda RPG itch that the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series seem to itch. For that I have to recommend it.
