STAR WARS™ Knights of the Old Republic™

I have really enjoyed playing this game. I bought it on my phone, played multiple playthroughs, learned there were mods, and bought the game on PC. I had to cap my framerate to 60 (googled how to do it) to stop whichever character I was controlling from being unable to move after combat, but it ran smoothly after I fixed it. I only crashed once when entering a glitchy area in the sleheyron mod, and am now starting brotherhood of shadow mod playthrough. 10/10 would recommend.

The game is good, but I have ragequitted because of a few sections that are tedious (at the end) and stupid.

SWKOTOR is one of the best rpgs for it's time. It has aged a lot but I don't think it really holds it back any. It's hard to play this game and not feel like a cool ass jedi or sith. The main thing you will hear people glazing this game for is the story. The story is really good both the KOTOR games did not ♥♥♥♥ around with the story. It's a beautifully crafted narrative. It has a lot of old heavy table top inspired rpg mechanics. So if you're starting and confused on how you should build your character it's not a bad Idea to look up a guide to figure out how everything works and where you should dump your stats.

Great game. Too bad it's nigh unplayable. Crashes a lot, has major issues with modern displays, movie renderer breaks when switching between the pre-rendered movies and gameplay with the only marginal fix being to disable them completely by editing .ini files. Common players should never, ever have to mess with root files to play an over 20yr old game. Buyer beware, this game is very unstable and most likely will not be possible to finish it. That said, KOTOR is still the best RPG ever made in story, characters, and just overall vibes. No contest.
