Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 27 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
5/10 only playable on steam deck, forever tainted by bugs for a port.
they made the controls worse than those on bootlegged copies. i am thoroughly disappointed
They DID compress the size of the game, but at a massive cost to graphical fidelity. Specifically the AI upscaled textures, which now look WORSE than the original PC textures following UPDATE III. Aspyr needs to remove the upscaled textures entirely, and give us the original PC textures. It would reduce the size of the game further and look much better than it currently does.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Recommended for Steam Deck, Not for PC. Inferior or non existent internet experience This should’ve been a slam dunk by Aspyr but by now you know that the nonfunctional internet multiplayer was the main cause of the negative reviews on release. I’ve only played this version on Deck and I still can’t find an online game for either game. So if you’re looking for a good internet experience for classic Battlefront, the original releases are where you should go. Great on Deck and TV I bought this version specifically because of the Splitscreen mode being on this release while the originals on PC didn’t have that capability. I can play this release with family as the Steam Deck is the only console I own, and it worked great for both games on all game modes, so this is a good option for those who want a split screen experience on Steam and don’t have the know how to create that for the original PC ports. Both games looked great displayed on my TV and played with two Xbox controllers, and it was just like it was on console back in the day. Lack of bonus content Now my main criticism of this release beyond the nonfunctional internet multiplayer is just how barebones this “classic collection” is. Battlefront had 3 PSP games with 2 of them being unique experiences and 1 being an almost complete port of II with some unique features. There was also an DS release of Elite Squadron as well. Renegade Squadron was fun but the PSP’s version of Elite Squadron in particular should’ve been added as that was essentially the PSP’s version of BFIII released as a standalone after III’s cancellation. There also could’ve been playable console builds of III in the collection as well, if only as a showcase of what III could’ve been. No other extra content is in this collection as well which could’ve been used to soften the blow of the disastrous launch. Changes from the original Hero Assault has the 2 Xbox exclusive Hero characters added with the ability to play that game mode on every planet which is fun but something a mod on the original releases could do, so it’s not that impressive of a feature if you know how to add mods to the original releases. Some of the audio cues in campaign are different as well and I don’t like the new font in the menus/game. They also removed the tutorial videos in I’s campaigns which wasn’t necessary and they used to add some charm to that game. Graphics Briefly, the graphics looked good for being upscaled but I don’t think they were a good alternative for bonus content nor are they really a good trade off for the much more massive storage space needed compared to the original ports. You could probably do a better jobs with graphics with mods on the original releases, among other things. Summary I really recommend this only situationally such as my situation of needing a good port for Deck compatibility and single player with split screen. If you can’t find a specific use for this release, stick with the originals which will have much more multiplayer and mod support even after 20+ years.
get these instead: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1058020/STAR_WARS_Battlefront_Classic_2004/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/6060/STAR_WARS_Battlefront_II_Classic_2005/ you'll get the same games but cheaper, less buggy, and with more people playing in online this had potential but they completely dropped the ball and abandoned it instantly
Could not launch it from my computer. but Was able to play it on SteamDeck. Was able to play everything on my Steamdeck was having a lot of fun on it. But could not give a thumbs up if the game is not able to launch on my computer. Tried to follow some guide to fix issue but nothing worked. Have seen some post about it and seem Aspyr didnt fix the issue yet and unsure if they will fix it..
Embarrassing to say the least. Feel like most people wanted this for the multiplayer which is why this received (and still does) so much hate. I could be wrong but that's definitely the reason I wanted it
