I absolutely love this style of turn-based combat and putting it in a Star Wars setting is so perfect I'm surprised it hasn't been done till now. If you like XCOM (or similar) then you'll love this game.
1. It's a great Star Wars game. Great story. The plot is thrilling. The characters are deep and voiced really well. And the ending did not disappoint. 2. Big fan of X-Com2 too and this game is a good x-com game. I wouldn't say it's on the level of x-com, though. Feels limited in comparison: 3AP, 4 squadmates. But it's good. Edit: DON'T BE CROOKS! PAY YOUR DEVELOPERS!

Perfect game if you are table top or Xcom gamer. Star Wars fits this genre of game perfectly and the team hit it out of the park with the story and game play. Its been a while since I found a single player game this fun to explore and play. Im doing my first run through dry no help and its been so fun discovering the mechanics and realizing new strategies in the middle of a battle making you feel like a true squad leader. Being able to follow through on getting closer with your crew is so cool, the small interactions the characters have with one another as there relationship grows makes post and in between missions just as fun as the main game play. It is true to star wars canon and if you know your lore well you are treated so many easter eggs through out the game. The customization goes pretty deep so its another way to add you personal touches to the game and your crew. the relationship building and customization make you feel for your team so if you do lose one it does hurt but makes the game that much more captivating. I cant lie and say I never loaded an earlier save because my favorite clone got downed twice on a single mission. I can tell this is the type of game I will play through multiple times to try to go down different paths or even make it more difficult with Ironman mode. In total I cant praise this game enough and if you are Star Wars fan, table top fan, or strategy game fan do yourself a favor and get this game. For any Wizards of the Coast Star Wars Miniatures table top game fans out there this game was made for us and dreams do come true haha
The game has performance issues BUT they still cooked with this one.
It's a good game I'd recommend it but compares to recent top down tactical games like BG3 and Rogue Trader it's still far from thsoe games which are great games
A pesar de los problemas con el contenido adicional del DLC, el juego merece totalmente la pena. Presenta algunos problemas de rendimiento en algunos momentos, especialmente durante las cinemáticas, pero no afectan al gameplay. Gutes Spiel, Story war ok und hatte schlimmeres erwartet, Gameplay war spaßig XCOM mäßig wobei ich da gerne mehr Auswahl gehabt hätte. Hatte in meinem Spieldurchlauf 3 Crashes, ich hätte mir außerdem gewünscht das man mehr Einheiten aktiv haben kann als 4. Dennoch für Fans von Star Wars und XCOM ein gutes Spiel.
Just completed hard campaign - TOP 1% YO! So thought I'd share my thoughts. This game is really bad. The engine and optimization issues are obvious, but the true hatred comes when the writing starts shining through. This really is the stereotypical 'and then, and then, and then' writing. The story is just your run-of-the-mill evil cult that wants to take over the galaxy, with all the pretentious pomp and hollow retoric of a sunday morning villain. They can kill you, but walk away because they are sure you won't survive anyway. OMG IM ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT! Will Ebon Hawksie survive?!?! Well he himself sure isnt worried, because even in the face of death-by-space-AIDS he keeps throwing those quips around like its a Marvel movie. Gameplay is fun, yes, there was a lot of potential here. But its XCOM, so I wont credit this game for the gameplay. Here everything is superficial and shallow, going through the motions, covered with quips and then and then and then. And then the Anakin shows up, and then the Clone shows up, and then some bounty hunter shows up, and then the Infinite talk some more about silence (pun intended), and then the Empire shows up, and then some more filler missions that are generated by AI (in some missions the enemies start all huddled up, so there is AI involved here...), and then the game was finally over.
