I used to be of the mindset that Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II and Jedi Outcast were the standard for a "Jedi" game set in the Star Wars universe. This is no longer the mindset. This is, even with it's flaws, the *best* Jedi-focused Star Wars game ever made. --- PROS; - Absolutely breathtaking, esp. on modern, high-end hardware. Gorgeous. - Easily the best, most epic set pieces ever in any Star Wars game. You'll know when they're popping off. wooWEE. - Challenging, Souls/Sekiro style combat with it's own unique Star Wars flair. Multiple stances and some awesome interactions you can setup with Force powers. - Controls are responsive and tight. - Exploration is fun and rewarded. It's frankly required on higher difficulty levels. - Absurdly high production values in every aspect of the game. It was made with love. Even if love if blind sometimes. (Still buggy, years later.) - Music and sound design is on point. - The actor playing Cal Kestis, Cameron Monaghan, does a superb job in the sequel. Really makes the character come alive. - The supporting cast are all interesting and loveable, until they're not. - NG+ & excellent overall replay value. Good base game length. - Excellent story and sets up for the presumed last game in the trilogy coming at some point. CONS; - PC Optimization all these years later, while improved, is still lacking in many aspects of the game. I'm brute forcing it with my hardware. MMV. - Buggy animations still, years later. ESP. pronounced in cutscenes and finishing flourishes during combat. - While I did point to the controls being responsive and tight earlier, there is a decidedly amount of jank in this game where enemy AI/behavior is concerned. Can't quite put my finger on it. It's off sometimes. - I did experience a handful of crashes while playing, all of them funny enough while idle @ a meditation point (bonfire.). Very odd. All in all, this is another awesome entry into this franchise and has me *very* excited for the last entry, if we ever get it. Worth it, esp. if it's on sale. 9/10
It 2026 and this game is still a glitchy and buggy mess. I had to mess around with both my pc and the game a lot just to get a half stable frame rate above 30fps. There are lot of visual glitches, frame drops and some bad and annoying gameplay bugs like force powers not working or getting stuck on lightsaber stances or game crashes from picking up certain items. All the enemy AI act as dumb as a B1 battle droid, they get stuck or forget your there when they are looking at you or let you shoot them to death while they act like a statue. You can tell this game was not ready for release. I swear they didn't playtest any of this stuff, I could constantly cheese optional bosses and the feel for an area is in wild swings. I played on the hardest difficulty and some places you could tell where meant to be hard are a cake walk and some areas ridiculous because they did enemy placement with little to no thought. Do not pay full price for this game. I got it on summer sale and it still feels like i got scammed.
its has a really good storyline and the graphics are spectacular
