Stamp Boy / 跳跳小子

This cute little game is pretty fun and a little short! Most of my playtime came from trying to get less than 160 seconds in the boss rush, or a time less than 440 seconds. The main campaign is not very difficult. Death is inconsequential since there are no lives, though take care because you will die in one hit by anything. Each stage has some collectibles in it that are basically freebies since they are almost always in your direct path to the exit. The boss rush can be a little tricky when it comes to boss RNG (I'm looking at you mushroom boss!), but you can still make the time as long as you don't throw your run. Stamp Boy is pretty cheap at only $2. If you can get it on sale, there's really no reason not to try it out, especially if you are a fan of classic platforming games!

Small scale & duration platformer with sprites that want to resemble super mario sprites. Fun overall with a few caveats: Pros: -Acceptable level design with the occasional twist -Nice colour paletter -Relaxing gameplay, with quick respawns -Short duration (for working adults with a bit of simple retro platformer nostalgia) Cons: -Grammar mistakes in the limited dialogue in the game, simply makes you fee that this is of poor quality -Sprites have a wider contact kill-box than you expect based on their visual presentation Recommendation: 6/10 - Buy if on discount for less than $1 dollar for a 1-1.5 hours of simple platformer fun.
