SPGP Super Polygon Grand Prix

The game initially shipped (in early access) with lackluster performance, making it difficult to recommend. Since then, the developer has been improving performance at each iteration, and now the game is fully playable, fluid even on low end hardware. This makes me confident in the ability and willingness of the developer to support his game, and makes it very easy to recommend. Fans of arcade racing games from the 90's, the next opus you were waiting for is finally here!

So, lets get this out of the way - it should be obvious, but this is an EARLY ACCESS title. So that means it's incomplete, has some bugs etc. With that out of the way, this title has real potential as a purely fun racer. It's already a really fun game, that with some more tweaking could be a contender for the best retro-racer of the last few years. The graphics are great - well, great for the style they are meant to be. The music is awesome. The sense of speed is amazing and the sound effects are superb. The handling is generally great, although a crash basically wipes out your shot at completing a race - if it were me I'd do away with the crashes altogether or at very least make recovering a quicker affair. My only other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ would the the menus lack some of the polish that's pretty easy to fix. The Blue/Cyan background changes and the SPGP logo moves between transitions making it feel a bit janky. Nothing game breaking, but fixing would probably help this feel _less_ early access. The transition animations are generally nice, but I'd speed them up or make them skippable - this is a pick up and play game and if I'm spending 30sec on waiting for transitions then it feels less immediate. But these are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and only my opinion. This game is on the right track (pun intended), but inst quite at the finish line yet. If that bothers you, you can wait a few months and pay more. If you want something you can play and enjoy now, and see grow - pick up a bargain.

A great retro-style racer that captures the old games very well, providing great visuals and a really good sense of speed. A great selection of tracks available as you unlock them and a nice "pit stop" feature. As a non-racing game person, I'm finding the time limits a little too strict for me personally to finish a track (many DNFs) but that only adds to the old school retro feel. It's very well optimised, running at a constant 165 FPS on my 165hz monitor, good sound design, great music, and voice overs too. If you want a good, fast paced, retro style racer, this might just be the one for you.

O jogo ele traz uma proposta muito bacana, você se sente na época das máquinas de corrida no arcade. Pontos positivos, possui muitos elementos nostálgicos do fliperama, música agradável, jogabilidade até que boa em certos parâmetros, como é um jogo ainda em constante atualização de desenvolvimento, eu espero e torço muito que o aprimorem, adorei a ideia deste game. Pontos negativos, ainda a muito que ser aprimorado, a jogabilidade pode ser ainda melhor, uma coisa de suma importância, seria termos acesso ao maior número de pistas possiveis, sem que aja alguma dificuldade ainda maior para impedir o mesmo, é uma das coisas a qual, a maioria dos jogos de corrida carecem e muito. Considerações finais, eu adorei a ideia deste game, e espero de coração, que possam serem implementadas muitas melhorias, é um jogo que não merece ficar apenas na promessa, mais sim mostrar a que veio, e honestamente falando, eu adoraria ver este game ainda me proporcionando muito amor nostálgico com aquela experiência sem igual.

レトロまでいかない、オールディーズな作りの3Dレースゲームで、わかりやすい操作感は好印象。ただ、メニュー操作時のカーソルの変異がワンテンポ遅れることや、リスタート時にスタートグリッドからでなく、コース名と入賞順位の表示からのせいか、間延びした感もあります。 その他、少し日本語訳がかなり雑なため、英語よりかえってわかりにくい印象（日本語訳しない方がかえっていい部分もあるなど）。 セガ「バーチャレーシング」のような視点変更は今後の実装に期待。 粗い部分もまだ多く見られますが、ゲームのコンセプトはハッキリしていて好感がもてます。買っても損はないかな、と。

This is an excellent arcade style racer. Enjoying it so much. Doesn't seem to run that well on my ROG Ally which is odd though.
