Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts

About
Species: Unknown is a first-person survival horror game, playable in co-op with up to 4 players (private or public servers) or solo. You play as a mercenary sent aboard an abandoned spaceship. Your job? Execute high-risk contracts, make it out alive, and claim your reward. But keep in mind that you’re not alone. Something is hunting you…
Form a squad of up to 4 players to take on different contracts with escalating difficulty. Each mission plays differently depending on your objective, your teammates, the map and which of the 5 intelligent threats is stalking you. No one survives alone, but you can try.

Proximity Chat & Radio are available: distance matters, walls matter. Proximity Chat is bringing more tension, sometimes chaos, and unforgettable moments to your co-op sessions.

Every contract drops you into a different nightmare. Whether you're tasked with extracting a black box, capturing or eliminating an unknown threat, or even destroying the ship to prevent the creature from escaping… Each mission demands a specific strategy and none of them are easy.
The specimen is chosen procedurally from a growing roster of terrifying monsters. Each one comes with distinct behaviors, hunting patterns, strengths, and weaknesses. You’ll need to investigate your surroundings to gather vital clues and identify the threat in order to proceed smoothly (or not). Do your job and get rewarded, or die without anyone knowing.

Strategize as a group, make smart use of your tools that can turn the tide, if only for a moment:
Motion Tracker : Detect nearby movement and prepare for what's coming
Shield : Block deadly attacks and buy time for your team
Health Syringe : Heal yourself or allies in the heat of battle
Mini-Map : Navigate pitch-black corridors with real-time positional data
Guns won’t always save you. Some threats are too resistant or simply untouchable. But the right weapon, found at the right time, can help you push through or even take the creature down.

The higher the risk, the higher the reward. Completing contracts earns you credits you can use to:
Upgrade your gear
Buy new tools
Customize your appearance
Gather lore and build your own creature museum

Incredibly fun and tactical game! The face eating crawling monster can get annoying sometimes as it's ALWAYS next to you like Alien but that's all a part of the game. One of the best muti-player strategy games out there in my opinion! Many monsters with different abilities and weaknesses. It's in early access, I just wish there was more to it! They do push consistent update which is nice. I'd recommend giving it a shot! Can't wait for what's to come.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 18.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 19.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

this is an absolute blast to play with friends. it looks amazing and it runs great too. there's so much variety that you can play for hours on end and the game isn't even close to done. I'm so excited to see what direction the developers take this gem.
Great game, literally the best combination between Phasmophobia and Alien Isolation. Normally Co-Op Horror games are not so scary, but this one is pretty intense. 10/10 would recommend. I've found 0 bugs so far, runs fine on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ PC and looks great. Hope they'll ad more maps soon! (Hopefully on a planet)
I love this game but the small corrupted robot isn't fun to play against in singleplayer.
Why is the big robot clairvoyant when it's supposed to rely on drones? How did it find me in a phuckn bathroom with the door closed when no drones had discovered me there? And why does it not continue it's phuckn patrol route when hiding in the Central Hub with the windows closed? It literally freezes in place until I open the windows after which it resumes patrol. And why does it need 75+ hits of a phuckn shotgun to the energy cell before it dies? Really? Empying 15 shots and having to run back for more ammo over 5 times is fun and challenging? The octopus creature is shy but curious and scares away easily? Are you sure? Or did you mean to write it bounces around as you empty a mag of ammo into it and attacks and bites your head off. Do you know how language works? Why is there every color of canister in the phuckn lab area but purple, the color that the minigame needs? Is that what passes for fun design nowadays? To run around between the same rooms for 25 mins looking for something that isn't there? I found plenty of green and orange canisters. Really? I have to waste time running from the ship back to the base in order to choose the next mission? Then I have to run back so I can watch the same phuckn unskippable launch and docking cutscene? Have you heard of a concept called UX? Oh and my personal fave, Backspace instead of Esc to go back to the previous menu. Coz you know, it's a bad idea to follow conventions that have been around for decades. Man, what an infuriating experience. I really wanna like this game coz the concept is neat but instead I need to go to anger management class now.
Genuinely fantastic game. For an early access title and from a small studio the game just oozes atmosphere and the team have done a fantastic job on nailing that feeling of space horror. Only just started but i'm hooked already. Huge customization, runs brilliantly and looks stunning for a small game. Roadmap looks solid as well and excited for the new map in October (2026). The tools and weapons are fun to use as well. Really pleased i've discovered it and with coop buddies it's a blast. Solo is a whole different experience that can have your palms sweating at times. Genuinely loving what is here. If you're a fan of sci-fi horror then you owe it to yourself to check this one out.
Hell yeah, loving this so far. Honestly super surprised with how well it plays, smooth it feels and absolutely gorgeous it is. For Sci-fi lovers and Horror fans alike this one is great. Been playing it with my friends and we all love it. Cannot wait to see more maps and groovy equipment to use. The variety and difference in creatures is fun, unique to themselves and reminiscent of well known horrors we all love to embrace. Quite literally I'm hoping this game gains more attention and traction, it's worth a play and worthy of some financial input to keep its growth. I can see this becoming as big as Dead by Daylight, Outlast Trials and games like Phasmaphobia. I'd love to see more customisation in a cosmetic part of the game, let us change our outfit parts rather than just "upgrading" we don't all want to look the same. Also more helmet options, or possibly a Night Vision helmet upgrade would be sick, similar to the torch power stuff. Lastly I'd just like to say how amusing it was when both myself and my friends all reacted the same way when playing this for the first time. "Wow... they did we just download Star Citizen?" it's funny to see you've done some things better than CIG and created a more playable game. Things I'd love to see in this games future: - More Maps 100% - More Monsters (Come on.. we all know you've got some ideas brewing, there's so many more rooms to fill!) - More Customisations (As well as maybe a little more in the hair/facial hairs departments or even let us alienify or cyborg it out a little.) - More tools such as traps or hacking? (Oh and glowsticks!) - Some more things to do at the "base station" or customisation/awards/trinkets/doo-dads/Collectibles - More T1 weapons (Melee perhaps?)
Fantastic coop game, can't wait for the new map!!
