The biggest little RPG in the world. Post-apocalyptic retro space adventure with an extreme focus on role-playing and replayability. Inch wide, miles deep - intentionally short yet surprisingly deep.

Extremely replayable, classic isometric RPG experience with a great aesthetic and a solid variety of mechanics. Stat builds and skill choices in particular have a massive impact on your character and completely reshape the way you can approach levels. If the idea of a Fallout 1/2-inspired space drama RPG appeals to you, then this is game definitely made for you. This is an early access game so naturally there are some bugs here and there that need smoothing out, but the foundation is super solid and I'm really enjoying my overall experience.
Very solid RPG with retro aesthetics. People keep comparing it to classic Fallout, but it actually reminds me of Alpha Protocol in that one playthrough will be relatively short, but depending on your choices you might see different results and even visit completely different levels. Very reactive game, there are dozens of major decision points and a couple of different character archetypes you can play as. Being an intimidating brute, persuasive diplomat or antisocial sneaky hacker are all equally viable. Combat is entirely optional, you can finish the entire game without ever triggering it. Overall I like it very much. Couple of things I didn't like - the writing feels a bit underbaked. It's not bad, but it's also not particularly exciting. The perks you get at level up felt too conditional to be useful most of the time. UI and controls can feel janky and unwieldy. But still it's a strong recommend if you're interested in isometric RPGs at all.
If you like CRPGs but you don't have the time dedication they demand, this game is for you! One playthrough of the game is apparently 2 or 3 hours, but you have freedom in your build AND the way you progress the story, so the game encourages you to play it more than once. If you've played it once and liked what you saw, you can play again from the divergence points of your playthroughs to experience the other events and stuff. And the game has a demo, at least give the demo a try :D
A solid and tight space rpg experience with a style that i think is very rad. A great game specifically for old crusty rpg loving gamers who dont have 6000 hours of free time anymore to play the crpgs they love.
Criminally underrated and unknown gem, with an interesting premise of all fighting being optional and not being able to be good at everything, leading you to be creative and innovative in your pursuit for the fuel controller chip. The story and freedom of action is where the game shines with captivating characters and places where you may or may not want to change things for the better or worst. Although the game itself is short the amount of freedom it gives you will make multiple paths with many breaching results making multiple playthroughs extremely rewarding as each one will make you discover a new path and small stories. A great recommendation for anyone looking for a new CRPG to sink a few good hours on it.
I had to come back and re-review this game after leaving a negative one for major bugs towards the end that locked progression. Thankfully, the dev fixed every single issue rather quickly and I was able to finish. Based on that, I have a much more positive impression of the game, but just be warned that your experience may or may not be as buggy as mine. That said, I overall had a blast with this game. Its got a unique dystopian spacepunk setting and the dilapidated look of the UI really fits the atmosphere, lending the game a lot of charm. Its ridiculously gritty but being that its so short and there are so many alternate paths this really isn't too much of an issue. Just in my one playthrough I could see lots of ways the narrative could diverge, some of which I failed at or didn't have the right stats for. Its cheap so you'll get a lot of value out of this if you like CRPG classics such as Fallout. I'm already eager to back into it with a stealth-hacker or a fighter character after one play-through where I beat almost everyone with speech. My one criticism is that the WORK stat doesn't really feel all that impactful. The game is so short and there are so few sidequests that getting extra XP doesn't really matter too much. None of the positive or negative perks were all that impactful either. I would like to see what this dev does in the future though. A more ambitious game in this style could be fantastic.
We need more games like this. Short, yet interesting stories. Quests that you can tackle in different ways, and enough replay value for those who want more of it. Super recommended
Despite the game heavily emphasizing that the combat is optional, you will no doubt encounter it at some point either by your own choice or from accidentally entering it. The combat is very buggy. Twice within the 3 hours I played I encountered glitches that could only be solved by reloading a previous save. Unfortunately I didn't have any saves outside of my main one so I had to restart the entire story both times. If you are going to play this game, make sure you are creating a backup save every 10-15 minutes so you don't lose your progress, but I can't recommend the experience.
A very strange and unsatisfying RPG. Klunky and buggy, the game feels like it could fall apart at any moment. Movement is slow, stiff, and imprecise, which is insane for a game which takes place entirely in cramped space environments. Navigating through one-tile vents and hallways is impossible, because of the isometric perspective and lack of any real transparency for foreground objects like walls which block vision. You pick one of five pathways through the game and follow them. This was baffling. I specced my character to be a hacker, and since every quest had a designated "hacker" option, there was little complication or incident. It's barely an immersive sim, even less of an RPG. A linear adventure game where all the decision-making is at the beginning where you choose which route you want to play. The main menu shows how much of the game you've completed/all the possible alternates routes, and it's just meaningless completionism because the actual game itself isn't all that fun. There's certainly some sort of passion and effort here. I collected a ton of crafting materials, weapons, items, etc, and there's certainly a "sandbox" of sorts, but it never really gels together or feels cohesive or necessary. All of your "replayability/alternate routes" are so heavily signposted that it just takes the mystery and excitement out of it. Just a very odd and unsatisfying experience.
This game is no for everyone!!! I was waiting for this game for some time, liked the visuals and fallout inspiration behind it. I finally bought it and installed and next day I was asking myself what the heck?!? The game took me few hours to finish, nothing more. During the game time I was having very good time, but it ended so quickly. Of course this game is meant to be played many times, with different approaches, but sadly I'm not that kind of rpg player. I stick to one build and even when I tried to do it differently it just wasn't fun anymore. Also big throwback from repeating the game are clunky controls, slow movement and interfaces. So for me it gets frustrating and boring with every new playthrough. Consider yourself warned! Still I recommend this game for people who love scifi RPG, and different approaches to one problem :) Also when on sale! :)
