Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Sep 14 → 6.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Space Engineers 2 is currently a Playable Alpha In Active Development and already lets you begin building, surviving, and colonizing the Almagest System.
You arrive in the distant Almagest System on humanity’s first large-scale colonization mission. Your ship is damaged on entry, your tools are basic, and the planets below are beautiful but unforgiving. From here, everything you build is up to you.
Explore planets, moons, asteroid rings, and dense clusters. Mine resources, construct bases and starships, complete contracts, discover Datapads, trade, expand into new sectors, and push the frontier forward alone now, and later together with friends as co-op and large-scale multiplayer arrive over the course of Early Access.
Space Engineers 2 takes everything we have learned over the past 10 years and reimagines the space engineering experience with more depth, precision, and creative freedom than ever before. Powered by our new VRAGE3 engine, creation and destruction feel better than ever.
Build ships, stations, bases, and machines. Mine asteroids, reshape terrain, carve tunnels, damage structures, and experiment in a fully destructible sandbox where engineering decisions matter.
Whether you are a veteran Space Engineer or new to the series, Space Engineers 2 gives you a growing sandbox where your creativity can shine while the game continues expanding through Early Access.
Explore the next generation of construction with the 25 cm Unified Grid System. No more large-grid vs small-grid separation: blocks fit together seamlessly, making it easier to create detailed and functional builds.
Mounting point visualization, grid lines, improved controls, and more intuitive building tools help you design, adjust, and refine your creations with greater precision.
Space Engineers 2 introduces major building improvements such as Grid Undo, copy/paste, symmetry, blueprints, Projection Building, Backpack Building, Area Welding, refined CTRL controls, and improved rotation and zoom.
These tools are designed to make engineering smoother for both newcomers and experienced players, while preserving the depth and creativity that define Space Engineers.
Take your creations to new speeds with upgraded max velocity: characters up to 310 m/s and grids up to 300 m/s. Magboots and automatic jetpack activation help you stay in control while building, exploring, and moving around large constructions, platforms, ships, and asteroids.
Mechanical systems are also expanding. Rotors and Pistons are already available in the current Alpha, with wheels, hinges, warheads, and additional engineering systems planned for future updates.
We redesigned UI/UX to make building smoother and more intuitive for both newcomers and pros, giving more freedom to bring your intricate ideas to life. VRAGE3 is being optimized throughout Early Access; performance can vary by hardware, world size, and build complexity. As Early Access progresses, you’ll be able to build bigger ships, fly more of them, and enjoy epic destruction in a truly immersive ride.
The current Alpha already includes a real sandbox survival experience. Manage power, oxygen, hydrogen, and health. Mine resources, process materials, manufacture components, build production chains, complete contracts, earn credits, discover Datapads, and begin expanding colonization across the Almagest System.
These systems are playable today, but still growing. Long-term survival progression, deeper colonization, richer economy and contracts, NPCs, campaign content, co-op, multiplayer, and many additional systems will continue arriving during Early Access.
Enjoy the beauty of space, industrial designs, planetary landscapes, and destructive engineering with next-level realism. Space Engineers 2 introduces ray-traced global illumination, realistic shadows, a new skybox, tessellated voxel materials, parallax effects for armor, volumetric clouds, and many other visual improvements that bring depth and realism to every scene.
Bring your ideas to life and share your Blueprints and Worlds with the community through Steam Workshop integration. Explore a growing collection of creations from other players, find inspiration, and discover new engineering challenges.
Space Engineers 2 also supports advanced modding through the VRAGE3 Mod HUB and Mod Editor tools, giving creators more ways to shape the future of the game.

Hello Engineers! I have been playing keen software games since the early releases of Space engineers, i am glad to say that SE2 holds up to the original game, there are some minor tweaks to handling gear and hot bars, as well as the control layout that take some relearning but in all the game has run smoothly and i have only had one non game breaking bug issue so far. Building: 9/10 Still getting acclimated to new keys and such, but precision placing is AMAZING! cant connect a block? Shift it 1 cm and find a surface! Survival/Campaign 10/10 : Loving the new layout style of the mission, easy introduction, first vehicle and basic startup, i am now in space and beginning to run contracts For a reason! i always felt contracts were just busy work in a sandbox, now they are key to progression and expansion of your work. There is a Classic mode to allow a work around for parts unlocking through contract as well for the ones interested. Custom game N/A (will update) - I am not one to spoil a game with previews and videos, i have not found a good way to make a custom world! creative is sort of locked into a starting area at the moment as far as i have tested but i will update this with detail ASAP. UI/HUD/Controls feel ?(9)/10 : i will not discount for not knowing the full layout yet, but the menus are a bit bulky, they offset this by making the tutorial include a walkthrough of the basics and needed sections allowing you to expand from there. i will update this more as i get more accustomed! Content? - Well if you find it bare, build more :D so far the missions are very interactive, building mining posts, rocket repairs and launches, pre built structures. and more to come! To the one worried about Steam Early access: With full faith in Keen Software and their commitment to continued support for games new and old i can say they are one of the few companies i never question quality or persistence from! They are not one of these pop up release and grab money companies to never finish their work, instead they are active, invested, and listen to their community! They care, and any issues you hear of will almost certainly be addressed! Here's to another decade of crashing into moons!

I like it for a few visual improvements and mainly the armor is alot stronger but by being in the base game for only a short time either I have not figured out how to delete blueprints but it does not use the same style of 1 so for that aspect its a little confusing when I just want to dock my ship but it says the connector isn't attached to anything and I can't erase the blueprints
Space Engineers 2 will not hold your hand. Even with a tutorial, you will need to look things up. You will have to run out of fuel and crash into the planet or a rock and learn to keep hydrogen on you. You will run out of oxygen while trying to mine an astroid. You will not understand a smelter needs power after you grabbed a battery without knowing better. But boy.... once things start to click, once you start building conveyors, assemblers, and feeding them with a mining ship or repairing yours and keeping it alive... its like fuc**** crack.
Not Recommended (for now) First of all: technically, the game is in a great state. It's absolutely worth its price. The visuals are stunning, the lighting and overall presentation look fantastic, and performance has been excellent in my experience. I've encountered no crashes, no major stuttering, and traveling seamlessly between space and planets feels smooth and polished. From a technical standpoint, I really don't have much to complain about. Unfortunately, my issues start with the gameplay. The biggest problem is that the game barely teaches you anything. You get the absolute minimum of guidance, and from there you're expected to figure everything out through trial and error. If you're completely new to engineering or sandbox building games, be prepared to fail... a lot. The save system doesn't help either. Forget to save before trying something risky? Too bad. That mistake is now permanent, which often means spending even more time gathering resources again after losing hours of progress. That quickly turns experimentation into frustration. Building itself is another challenge. Unless you're already comfortable creating vehicles or spaceships block by block, don't expect ready-made blueprints to carry you. Aside from the basic manufacturing machines, you'll have to build pretty much everything yourself. That's great for experienced builders, but overwhelming for newcomers. Yes, you can download amazing community creations from the Workshop, but that introduces another problem. Many of those ships and vehicles are designed to be assembled with advanced welding tools that you won't unlock until much later. As a result, you often end up trying to weld individual blocks hidden deep inside the blueprint by hand, which is tedious or sometimes nearly impossible. The progression feels backwards: the game encourages you to use Workshop creations while making many of them frustrating to build during the early game. My biggest personal issue was base building. Maybe I'm simply missing something, but placing the first blocks without an existing grid often results in structures being slightly misaligned or rotated. Building a perfectly straight base felt far more difficult than it should. If there's an easier way, I'd genuinely be happy to be corrected. For now, I'd recommend waiting for the multiplayer update. Learning the game together with friends sounds like a much better experience, especially if someone already knows what they're doing. The inevitable failures become a lot more enjoyable when you're laughing about them together instead of grinding resources alone. Overall, Space Engineers 2 already has an incredibly solid technical foundation and enormous potential. What it needs now is more polish on the gameplay side: better onboarding, clearer guidance for new players, and a smoother early-game progression. Once multiplayer arrives, I honestly think this game could become something truly special.
very fun.
