Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Sep 14 → 6.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Space Engineers 2 is currently a Playable Alpha In Active Development and already lets you begin building, surviving, and colonizing the Almagest System.
You arrive in the distant Almagest System on humanity’s first large-scale colonization mission. Your ship is damaged on entry, your tools are basic, and the planets below are beautiful but unforgiving. From here, everything you build is up to you.
Explore planets, moons, asteroid rings, and dense clusters. Mine resources, construct bases and starships, complete contracts, discover Datapads, trade, expand into new sectors, and push the frontier forward alone now, and later together with friends as co-op and large-scale multiplayer arrive over the course of Early Access.
Space Engineers 2 takes everything we have learned over the past 10 years and reimagines the space engineering experience with more depth, precision, and creative freedom than ever before. Powered by our new VRAGE3 engine, creation and destruction feel better than ever.
Build ships, stations, bases, and machines. Mine asteroids, reshape terrain, carve tunnels, damage structures, and experiment in a fully destructible sandbox where engineering decisions matter.
Whether you are a veteran Space Engineer or new to the series, Space Engineers 2 gives you a growing sandbox where your creativity can shine while the game continues expanding through Early Access.
Explore the next generation of construction with the 25 cm Unified Grid System. No more large-grid vs small-grid separation: blocks fit together seamlessly, making it easier to create detailed and functional builds.
Mounting point visualization, grid lines, improved controls, and more intuitive building tools help you design, adjust, and refine your creations with greater precision.
Space Engineers 2 introduces major building improvements such as Grid Undo, copy/paste, symmetry, blueprints, Projection Building, Backpack Building, Area Welding, refined CTRL controls, and improved rotation and zoom.
These tools are designed to make engineering smoother for both newcomers and experienced players, while preserving the depth and creativity that define Space Engineers.
Take your creations to new speeds with upgraded max velocity: characters up to 310 m/s and grids up to 300 m/s. Magboots and automatic jetpack activation help you stay in control while building, exploring, and moving around large constructions, platforms, ships, and asteroids.
Mechanical systems are also expanding. Rotors and Pistons are already available in the current Alpha, with wheels, hinges, warheads, and additional engineering systems planned for future updates.
We redesigned UI/UX to make building smoother and more intuitive for both newcomers and pros, giving more freedom to bring your intricate ideas to life. VRAGE3 is being optimized throughout Early Access; performance can vary by hardware, world size, and build complexity. As Early Access progresses, you’ll be able to build bigger ships, fly more of them, and enjoy epic destruction in a truly immersive ride.
The current Alpha already includes a real sandbox survival experience. Manage power, oxygen, hydrogen, and health. Mine resources, process materials, manufacture components, build production chains, complete contracts, earn credits, discover Datapads, and begin expanding colonization across the Almagest System.
These systems are playable today, but still growing. Long-term survival progression, deeper colonization, richer economy and contracts, NPCs, campaign content, co-op, multiplayer, and many additional systems will continue arriving during Early Access.
Enjoy the beauty of space, industrial designs, planetary landscapes, and destructive engineering with next-level realism. Space Engineers 2 introduces ray-traced global illumination, realistic shadows, a new skybox, tessellated voxel materials, parallax effects for armor, volumetric clouds, and many other visual improvements that bring depth and realism to every scene.
Bring your ideas to life and share your Blueprints and Worlds with the community through Steam Workshop integration. Explore a growing collection of creations from other players, find inspiration, and discover new engineering challenges.
Space Engineers 2 also supports advanced modding through the VRAGE3 Mod HUB and Mod Editor tools, giving creators more ways to shape the future of the game.

TOP!
I got nearly 1600 hour in the original and all i can say is what the ♥♥♥♥ did they do to my game man...
Encore beaucoup de travail avant d'avoir un jeu complet et fun sur la durée : le contenu manque de profondeur et on tourne vite en rond une fois les bases posées. Mais les fondations sont solides et le potentiel est réel ! A suivre.

The game is ...ok. Not great, not terrible, just ok. Granted it is still in alpha stage, but it still feels like it needs several coats of polish even though it has been available to play for a year and a half now. While I am excited about the unified grid system and the possibilities it creates, if I were to sum up the building experience overall into a single word, the word I would choose is 'Tedious'. Despite well over 4000 hours in Space Engineers 1, here in SE2, the previous gameplay experience seems to offer considerably less advantage than I thought it would. Things seem familiar, but not as intuitive as I had hoped or expected. While playing, the game feels like it is resisting me at every turn, whether movement of character or ship, building a grid or changing the settings of a block. Trying to get blocks lined up while creating something is not just tedious as I mentioned, but sometimes feel like it is a roll of the dice if it will work out, like block rotation is when placing something in SE1. Only sometime after building numerous blocks will you find out if everything is lined up properly or if you have to go back and redesign a section. So there is a lot of trial an error of what designs can be done, especially when mixing blocks of different sizes that should synergize with each other more than they actually do. There are certain blocks I would have expected to be in the game by now, but are still missing. The overall the lack of block variety, despite the game being a sequel and having been available to play for 1.5 years is still low enough to be a major limiting factor in grid design. An example of a block that I couldn't find was the armor slope 2x1x1 base, even though its tip block is indeed present. In other cases blocks that do exist, seem limited in function currently. An example would be lights. While you can place a light and change its color and brightness, the ability to make it flash in any way does not exist. Choosing colors for the paint gun and information on power/fuel usage by thrusters are also limited. Other existing blocks seem to need another pass of polishing as well such as the large battery block has and odd mounting points layout, some surfaces that are flat can be mount points, while other flat surfaces cannot. So overall things are either missing entirely, or feel a little rushed to be put into the game and still need work to be properly functional. I found this fact rather odd as it was stated by Keen that they would get things to how they wanted them first, THEN move onto new projects/additions, but this does not seem to be the case. Their vertical slices should be seen as more of slants. | vs / Would I recommend the game in the general sense? Yes, but wait for it to go on sale before you spend the money. What I don't recommend, hence my thumbs down, is playing it yet. Better to get the game when it is cheaper, and then let it continue cooking while you enjoy other games until the alpha stage is basically over. The game is playable now, but it really needs multiple passes of polish, even with the stuff already available in the game. Hope this helps people considering trying out the alpha version now, or just sticking to SE1 for now.
best game of my life
Great continuation of Space Engineers. Very stable and a lot of great new takes on some of the features of SE1.
Klare Empfehlung.
OH IM SPACE ENGINEERING IT!
Space Engineers 2
I've spent a lot of time in the first Space Engineers and loved it. Especially the survival mode. Space Engineers 2 looks and feels incredibly better than the last game and they are still in early development. So far, the recent update with the survival mode with contracts that help you learn the basics of the game i think is a great idea rather than the last game where you just had to figure things out yourself. All in all, with time I'm sure the devs will be able to iron out any bugs or performance issues some of the others are experiencing. For me, everything runs smooth.
