Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Sep 14 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Space Engineers 2 is currently a Playable Alpha In Active Development and already lets you begin building, surviving, and colonizing the Almagest System.
You arrive in the distant Almagest System on humanity’s first large-scale colonization mission. Your ship is damaged on entry, your tools are basic, and the planets below are beautiful but unforgiving. From here, everything you build is up to you.
Explore planets, moons, asteroid rings, and dense clusters. Mine resources, construct bases and starships, complete contracts, discover Datapads, trade, expand into new sectors, and push the frontier forward alone now, and later together with friends as co-op and large-scale multiplayer arrive over the course of Early Access.
Space Engineers 2 takes everything we have learned over the past 10 years and reimagines the space engineering experience with more depth, precision, and creative freedom than ever before. Powered by our new VRAGE3 engine, creation and destruction feel better than ever.
Build ships, stations, bases, and machines. Mine asteroids, reshape terrain, carve tunnels, damage structures, and experiment in a fully destructible sandbox where engineering decisions matter.
Whether you are a veteran Space Engineer or new to the series, Space Engineers 2 gives you a growing sandbox where your creativity can shine while the game continues expanding through Early Access.
Explore the next generation of construction with the 25 cm Unified Grid System. No more large-grid vs small-grid separation: blocks fit together seamlessly, making it easier to create detailed and functional builds.
Mounting point visualization, grid lines, improved controls, and more intuitive building tools help you design, adjust, and refine your creations with greater precision.
Space Engineers 2 introduces major building improvements such as Grid Undo, copy/paste, symmetry, blueprints, Projection Building, Backpack Building, Area Welding, refined CTRL controls, and improved rotation and zoom.
These tools are designed to make engineering smoother for both newcomers and experienced players, while preserving the depth and creativity that define Space Engineers.
Take your creations to new speeds with upgraded max velocity: characters up to 310 m/s and grids up to 300 m/s. Magboots and automatic jetpack activation help you stay in control while building, exploring, and moving around large constructions, platforms, ships, and asteroids.
Mechanical systems are also expanding. Rotors and Pistons are already available in the current Alpha, with wheels, hinges, warheads, and additional engineering systems planned for future updates.
We redesigned UI/UX to make building smoother and more intuitive for both newcomers and pros, giving more freedom to bring your intricate ideas to life. VRAGE3 is being optimized throughout Early Access; performance can vary by hardware, world size, and build complexity. As Early Access progresses, you’ll be able to build bigger ships, fly more of them, and enjoy epic destruction in a truly immersive ride.
The current Alpha already includes a real sandbox survival experience. Manage power, oxygen, hydrogen, and health. Mine resources, process materials, manufacture components, build production chains, complete contracts, earn credits, discover Datapads, and begin expanding colonization across the Almagest System.
These systems are playable today, but still growing. Long-term survival progression, deeper colonization, richer economy and contracts, NPCs, campaign content, co-op, multiplayer, and many additional systems will continue arriving during Early Access.
Enjoy the beauty of space, industrial designs, planetary landscapes, and destructive engineering with next-level realism. Space Engineers 2 introduces ray-traced global illumination, realistic shadows, a new skybox, tessellated voxel materials, parallax effects for armor, volumetric clouds, and many other visual improvements that bring depth and realism to every scene.
Bring your ideas to life and share your Blueprints and Worlds with the community through Steam Workshop integration. Explore a growing collection of creations from other players, find inspiration, and discover new engineering challenges.
Space Engineers 2 also supports advanced modding through the VRAGE3 Mod HUB and Mod Editor tools, giving creators more ways to shape the future of the game.
Space Engineers 2 is available now in Playable Alpha. By joining during Early Access, you can play the current version, share feedback, report issues, and help shape the game as it grows toward full release.

Bad implementation of autosave has just stop me from playing this game and until it is fixed, I will not be recommending it to anyone. Auto save implementation has been perfected a long time ago and in this game wouldn’t be hard to fix. So why should it be fixed. I have a job and kids I have limited time to play. I was starting to like this game yes, it is a difficult game to play but it doesn’t need to be so punishing that you don’t want to play. All because you can’t go back 5-10-20min to a backup where you haven’t just pancaked your ship into the planet because RL distracted you or you just miss calculated how heavy you ship is and how close you are to the planet. And before you say But That’s how its designed then cool but not every one player games the same way. And if you want to cater to a wide range of people then you need to change the design of the game. All you need to do is add an option at the start of the game and or in the settings that asks the player if they want one autosave or separate autosaves allow people to choose, I can’t see how this would be a game braking change. So please change this

игра ставит лок в 30 фпс и фризит. А в крайних случаях крашит винду и отправляет комп в перезагрузку
I’ve played the game for 7 hours on a PC with these specs: Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, 32 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060. I honestly feel ripped off. The game starts lagging after I build a 30x30 block floor (with nothing on it but a solar panel and a battery!), even if I turn the graphics and all settings down to the minimum. I requested a refund, but it was denied due to Steam’s policy regarding more than two hours of playtime. What kind of game in this genre can you actually test in just two hours?! You can easily spend two hours alone just getting used to the new systems compared to SE1. SE1 itself is still missing a proper conclusion (and not one where the community finishes the job the devs were paid to do). Lately, all Early Access games have been terrible. To the whole community: don't buy Early Access games! And if you do buy something, test it for an hour. If you don't like it for any reason, ask for a refund and write a review! Let's reclaim the respect we deserve as consumers!
My PC can run any game at high quality but this one need to be at medium and still lags. After loading a game everything looks super low quality and the menus stop working, cant fix that and lost all my saved games. Character fall under the terrain. Too many bugs, THE GAME IS UNPLAYABLE.
I purchased SE 1 in 2014 and have played the game a ton. I bought SE 2 on release day to support the devs, in hopes they would provide the same experience. Sadly they have not. New paid DLC still coming out for SE 1, but very little progress being made on SE 2. I hold out hope it will be greater than SE 1 in every way, but only time will tell.
refuses to start up on debian.. disappointing
Windows Snob Devs
For the first month or so this game came out, I wasn't even able to play it on Linux without doing a lot of mucking about behind the scenes with compatibility tools. I want to withhold judgement until the full release of the game, but even as is, Linux issues reported to their developer website(which is the only place they take feedback) are dismissed, the comments locked, and the issues marked as not being bugs at all. One would think that with the Steam Machine being out and the current state of Windows being what it is, that developers would at least make an effort, but Keen isn't keen on the idea apparently.
im not one to leave reviews very often but... this game is such a let down been holding off to play survival for some updates and you cant even start a new world without it crashing. as it stands avoid this game
