About
Space Engineers 2 is currently a Playable Alpha In Active Development and already lets you begin building, surviving, and colonizing the Almagest System.
You arrive in the distant Almagest System on humanity’s first large-scale colonization mission. Your ship is damaged on entry, your tools are basic, and the planets below are beautiful but unforgiving. From here, everything you build is up to you.
Explore planets, moons, asteroid rings, and dense clusters. Mine resources, construct bases and starships, complete contracts, discover Datapads, trade, expand into new sectors, and push the frontier forward alone now, and later together with friends as co-op and large-scale multiplayer arrive over the course of Early Access.
Space Engineers 2 takes everything we have learned over the past 10 years and reimagines the space engineering experience with more depth, precision, and creative freedom than ever before. Powered by our new VRAGE3 engine, creation and destruction feel better than ever.
Build ships, stations, bases, and machines. Mine asteroids, reshape terrain, carve tunnels, damage structures, and experiment in a fully destructible sandbox where engineering decisions matter.
Whether you are a veteran Space Engineer or new to the series, Space Engineers 2 gives you a growing sandbox where your creativity can shine while the game continues expanding through Early Access.
Explore the next generation of construction with the 25 cm Unified Grid System. No more large-grid vs small-grid separation: blocks fit together seamlessly, making it easier to create detailed and functional builds.
Mounting point visualization, grid lines, improved controls, and more intuitive building tools help you design, adjust, and refine your creations with greater precision.
Space Engineers 2 introduces major building improvements such as Grid Undo, copy/paste, symmetry, blueprints, Projection Building, Backpack Building, Area Welding, refined CTRL controls, and improved rotation and zoom.
These tools are designed to make engineering smoother for both newcomers and experienced players, while preserving the depth and creativity that define Space Engineers.
Take your creations to new speeds with upgraded max velocity: characters up to 310 m/s and grids up to 300 m/s. Magboots and automatic jetpack activation help you stay in control while building, exploring, and moving around large constructions, platforms, ships, and asteroids.
Mechanical systems are also expanding. Rotors and Pistons are already available in the current Alpha, with wheels, hinges, warheads, and additional engineering systems planned for future updates.
We redesigned UI/UX to make building smoother and more intuitive for both newcomers and pros, giving more freedom to bring your intricate ideas to life. VRAGE3 is being optimized throughout Early Access; performance can vary by hardware, world size, and build complexity. As Early Access progresses, you’ll be able to build bigger ships, fly more of them, and enjoy epic destruction in a truly immersive ride.
The current Alpha already includes a real sandbox survival experience. Manage power, oxygen, hydrogen, and health. Mine resources, process materials, manufacture components, build production chains, complete contracts, earn credits, discover Datapads, and begin expanding colonization across the Almagest System.
These systems are playable today, but still growing. Long-term survival progression, deeper colonization, richer economy and contracts, NPCs, campaign content, co-op, multiplayer, and many additional systems will continue arriving during Early Access.
Enjoy the beauty of space, industrial designs, planetary landscapes, and destructive engineering with next-level realism. Space Engineers 2 introduces ray-traced global illumination, realistic shadows, a new skybox, tessellated voxel materials, parallax effects for armor, volumetric clouds, and many other visual improvements that bring depth and realism to every scene.
Bring your ideas to life and share your Blueprints and Worlds with the community through Steam Workshop integration. Explore a growing collection of creations from other players, find inspiration, and discover new engineering challenges.
Space Engineers 2 also supports advanced modding through the VRAGE3 Mod HUB and Mod Editor tools, giving creators more ways to shape the future of the game.

love it
good stuff not as laggy but still i have a 5090 with 128gb of ram and the ryzen 9 9900 3dx and it still says my computer isn't good enough. you know that message the game gives... so what gives?
I recommend it under the strong reservation that i expect this game to greatly improve in many areas, when it comes to performance, physics, content, etc.. That being said the effort the devs have and are putting in is well visible, and i think the game offers enough to be acceptable for an alpha. That being said i mainly appreciate this game for its improved visuals, somewhat improved performance, and unified grid system over SE1. As a whole id say SE1 still offers you way more than what you get in SE2, however what features do exist in SE2 are much better in quality than its SE1 counterparts. I mainly just use SE2 right now for importing some ships i was working on in SE1, and revamping them with the unified grid system. If you are new to space engineers i however strongly recommend you play SE1 first and foremost.
Mühendislik sevenler için başarılı
Not Recommended (for now) First of all: technically, the game is in a great state. It's absolutely worth its price. The visuals are stunning, the lighting and overall presentation look fantastic, and performance has been excellent in my experience. I've encountered no crashes, no major stuttering, and traveling seamlessly between space and planets feels smooth and polished. From a technical standpoint, I really don't have much to complain about. Unfortunately, my issues start with the gameplay. The biggest problem is that the game barely teaches you anything. You get the absolute minimum of guidance, and from there you're expected to figure everything out through trial and error. If you're completely new to engineering or sandbox building games, be prepared to fail... a lot. The save system doesn't help either. Forget to save before trying something risky? Too bad. That mistake is now permanent, which often means spending even more time gathering resources again after losing hours of progress. That quickly turns experimentation into frustration. Building itself is another challenge. Unless you're already comfortable creating vehicles or spaceships block by block, don't expect ready-made blueprints to carry you. Aside from the basic manufacturing machines, you'll have to build pretty much everything yourself. That's great for experienced builders, but overwhelming for newcomers. Yes, you can download amazing community creations from the Workshop, but that introduces another problem. Many of those ships and vehicles are designed to be assembled with advanced welding tools that you won't unlock until much later. As a result, you often end up trying to weld individual blocks hidden deep inside the blueprint by hand, which is tedious or sometimes nearly impossible. The progression feels backwards: the game encourages you to use Workshop creations while making many of them frustrating to build during the early game. My biggest personal issue was base building. Maybe I'm simply missing something, but placing the first blocks without an existing grid often results in structures being slightly misaligned or rotated. Building a perfectly straight base felt far more difficult than it should. If there's an easier way, I'd genuinely be happy to be corrected. For now, I'd recommend waiting for the multiplayer update. Learning the game together with friends sounds like a much better experience, especially if someone already knows what they're doing. The inevitable failures become a lot more enjoyable when you're laughing about them together instead of grinding resources alone. Overall, Space Engineers 2 already has an incredibly solid technical foundation and enormous potential. What it needs now is more polish on the gameplay side: better onboarding, clearer guidance for new players, and a smoother early-game progression. Once multiplayer arrives, I honestly think this game could become something truly special.
It's flat, we all know it is, and if you don't then you're an NPC and "your" opinion is to be disregarded, but it's a good game on the basis it's round and that space isn't fake & ghey. Loved space engineers 1, great sci-fi(it's flat) survival builder. /pol/ was here. Please re-add the refining of ores in this game, into their refined materials with some loss of mass to the ores collected to account for impurity, like Space Engineers 1. Did I say SE1 was good? It's good. Anyway, I wrote this dr*nk at 19:53 on a tuesday. Or Wednesday, I dont care what day it is, sounds like normie stuff to me, not my problem. Based space engineers 2. Dont delete my review Gaben I see what you did with the steam cube of saturn. Buy this game. BUY BUY BUY, it was promised to us 3000 years ago.
the best sandbox ever
needs parts and whatnot but good foundations. i love space stuff
Anyone that's complaining just doesn't understand what early access means. Its not meant to be optimal yet, it's in alpha you homunculus's
I do not understand the whining around a game that is in development. Its in development and they have been making advancements. So here goes: this game has huge potential. but it is also quite well made at this point. Is it release ready? No, but its very playable. the most important thing for me is that this game appears to be receiving regular updates and patches. i believe this game will match or beat engineers 1.
