About

- Your Reign, Your Rules - Every choice you make defines your legacy and the fate of your Kingdom...
- Recruit eccentric Knights - Manage a court of unpredictable heroes with big egos and even bigger problems.
- Manage Your Round Table - Send Knights on quests where success or disaster hinges on your judgment.
- Bend Time and Tempt Fate - Rewind decisions, uncover secrets, and pursue forbidden romances.
- Expand Your Tower - Build new annexes, acquire upgrades, and outwit rival rulers.

Ah, finally - a suitable Sovereign for the job. Yes, you, right there, come sit on this comfy throne. Ah you like the feel of that, don’t you? Congratulations, you’re hired! My name is Arlin and I’m your advisor. Welcome to your first day, and please, allow me to provide thee with a day in the life of a Sovereign and you can then decide how will you rule, my liege...
- In the morning you must tend to your subjects and listen to the problems that plague the Kingdom. From gardening to exorcisms - there’s never a boring day on the throne.
- Each decision you make will shape your kingdom and relationships with individuals, collectives and other rulers. Every interaction will play a part in defining your legacy.
- Balance your affinity with the Merchants, Mystics, Scholars, Nobles and People, as well as the Treasury, or spend it all and backstab everyone. Either way works, my grace.
- Recruit eccentric Knights with strong personalities and questionable morals to serve at your Round Table. Unfortunately for you, these are the jesters you’re relying on to keep your Kingdom running smoothly.
- With great egos, comes great drama! These Knights aren’t going to be a walk in the Tower’s Garden, sire. There’s always advice to be taken, grievances to be shared and romance to be explored.
- You must keep your Knights satisfied otherwise they may just leave your court for good. Maybe that’s sometimes for the best though...
- Manage your Knights from the Round Table. Here you can view all the requests from your subjects that you obliged to earlier in the day. Assign the most equipped Knight for the job to reduce chances of failure.
- Your Knights possess stats: Strength, Agility, Charisma, Magic and Wit. Each Quest requires a different skill set. Need a Charismatic approach? Maybe we shouldn’t send Ursula, your grace.
- After they return from their Quests, you’ll be debriefed with the results of their venture. Did their efforts result in Critical Failure or Critical Success? Or did they experience a completely Unexpected Outcome?
- In the Crypts of the Tower dwells a Demon who can turn back time. So, if it all goes wrong, you can go back with all the knowledge you’ve learned, make alternate decisions and change fate.
- Of course, you have me, your main advisor at your service, but there are others. For example, The Intendant has a nosy habit of collecting secrets about your Knights. She’ll provide the juicy gossip as you require it it!
- If you like romancing stone statues, then you’ve come to the right place. No, really, go speak to the Lady of the Tower and find out.
- Prove your worthiness against opposers by joining hands with neighbouring counties and forging great alliances.
- Expand your Tower by adding new Annexes which in turn will allow for more positions to open amongst your court.
- From Carina’s Forge to the Witch’s Alchemy Room, each of these new Annexes gives you the ability to craft new items to assist your Knights on their Quests.

The game is a... mixed bag. Let's speak about the most glaring issue and the main aspect of the game. Writing. It is clear from the trailer and screenshots that the game is made by Tumblr people and for a VERY specific audience. Writing can be really good for some characters, and insultingly cringy at other times. If you played games like Borderlands 3, or watched shows like Hazbin Hotel, you know what type of writing you can mainly expect from this game. It is not a serious game; it REALLY tries to be funny at the cost of almost every character feeling cartoonishly stupid and obnoxious. Except for a few. The main story is alright; there are a few interesting ideas, but nothing to write home about. But it's solid enough. The main mechanic of rewinding time is pretty cool, but with a few caveats. The new dialogue, skipping quests, etc., is really cool. But it really lacks impact in a bigger sense. There is ONE really important thing you can't do without it, but everything else is perfectly fine on its own. The gameplay... it's fine, with a lot of tedious tasks by the end of Act 2, when I really grow bored of the cycle of Get armour repair - Cook food - Micromanage the equipment of knights - send knights to training - send the rest of them on quests And it's going on, and on, and on, and grows dull pretty fast. By cycle 30, I started skipping most of the misc tasks. Romance is bad. Just straight up bad. While writing in other scenes can sometimes be cute or funny, romance is just buns; it's probably one of the worst romance dialogues I've ever read. Although some romances are... nice? Two or three maybe. There are surprisingly MANY bugs in the game. Victoria is bugged and will leave you no matter whether you lied to her or not. Maybe it means that you must NEVER lie but idk it seems illogical. You can't send one of the knights on quests, whatever you do. You can't sell equipment from time to time. The jester knight is not available (?) bc I tried to fulfill conditions for him and it didn't work at all. There are pretty obviously some problems with quest triggers, because sometimes characters talk about your decisions and they are the opposite of what actually happened. UI is a bit broken too. Sometimes you just can't send invitation or sell equipment and you need to reload page again and again. In this type of game, it sucks really hard. But hey, you have time rewind—wanna redo 5-6 cycles of tedious management because of a bug? The side characters are bad, almost all of them. The game clearly can't do evil. Like, it tries to sell demons as something bad, but they are just... autistic at best? Dunno the best way of describing it. It has ONE truly evil character, and it's the ugliest mofo ever. And the game tells you he is bad at EVERY turn. And he is literally the only character you can't romance. Also, you'll probably skip him in second run because you'll have girl with fiery hair. But, tbh, he is perfectly reasonable—if the game were at least somewhat grounded in reality and worked by common sense. But it's not. In the end, it's aight, 5-6/10 tops. Worth the money, but depends on how much you value story in a visual novel, lmao. Most ideas are interesting but execution is kinda poor. I believe that (at least) some bugs and issues will be fixed, it's a fresh release after all.
An interesting game that ends too soon with no real climax. Feels like an amazing demo and not a complete game. 8/10 If you loved Dispatch, this is currently the closest you'll get to scratching that itch. But don't be fooled; it is a very different game with its own strengths and weaknesses. This game is filled with charm, from the art style to the unique character design and goofy writing. But that charm is rather shallow; most characters are very one-note and simple. The story starts off very interesting but comes to a sudden end with no thematic conclusion to the questions I thought the story was asking. The gameplay is fun, and I found it challenging at first. It takes heavy inspiration from games like Dispatch and This Is the Police but completely leaves out the time mechanic (aside from a handful of quests). This leads to a far more relaxing experience but leaves little room for skill expression. You'll never have to worry about sending all your magic knights or strong knights on the same quest because you can just wait for them to return before sending them on the next quest. This will be the biggest disappointment to Dispatch fans who were seeking the thrill of just barely getting your crew back in time for the next mission. There is also far less interesting build variety. In dispatch you might have a character who is very fast and strong but is not that smart or durable, meaning you have to be smart about who you sent where. Sovereign Tower starts that way, but very quickly you'll find the best strategy is to give most of your knights even stats across the board, maybe leaving out one category, then giving them items to boost certain stats for a mission. This is another massive loss in skill expression, as every knight build just turns into an "all-rounder" who's good at everything. Similar to dispatch, there is also a unique ending to a quest if you send the right knight on a quest. This results in an automatic pass on a quest, but as far as I can tell, there is almost zero way of knowing which knight to send to achieve these, which leads to frustration. I found myself getting these unique outcomes far more in dispatch. For example, you might think sending a character who is a musician to stop a group of bats who are weak to music might result in a unique quest ending, but you would be wrong. The outcomes lack any consistent logic or pattern. The unique mechanic of this game is time travel. The game heavily encourages you to use it but hints that it might have dark consequences later. Those consequences never come, not in gameplay or story. You suffer no negative effects from using demon powers to manipulate time. I avoided using time travel for the vast majority of the game. I only used it twice after losing knights to events you could not have predicted. In hindsight I could have easily beaten the game without ever using it, which just goes to show how easy the game is once you understand the mechanics. Minor spoilers ahead I found the story very interesting: a king who makes a pact with a demon to control time in order to create a peaceful world. You'll come across a whole list of interesting characters and challenges but ultimately face little consequence no matter what you choose. Like many "choices matter" games, it feels like your choices actually have little to no effect on the outcome aside from a few major decisions. The ending comes very suddenly; the major antagonist isn't the evil monster you meet at the beginning; instead, it's a man you meet only twice. You meet him once at the beginning of the final act and once more at the end of the game. Who turns out isn't much of an antagonist at all. While this has sounded very negative, I still very much enjoyed my time; it feels like Sovereign Tower is so close to being an amazing game, but the developers ran out of money and just wrapped up the game as fast as they could. There should at least be one or two more acts. Easy buy at $15, a little steep for $20.
9.5/10!!! This game is 2% off a masterpiece. I deeply adore it, and I would give my right arm to see what the branching paths of its story looks like from above. The writing is sometimes a hair too unserious, but thats personal taste over a flaw. If you like Reign, Dispatch or games where your choices matter, this is the game for you.
Absolute gem 10/10. DONT savescum. This game is designed to live with the consequences. There is a mechanic to undo misstakes, but, at what cost?
Played exclusively on steam deck with no issues so far. Incredible, beautiful choices matter game with interesting rewind mechanic that makes an already replaceable game even more so. Buy it!
