About
Soulmask is a massive survival crafting game set in multidimensional ancient civilization open worlds. Carve your path through two unique realms—[Cloud Mist Forest] or [Shifting Sands]. The choice is yours.
You are a survivor whose soul is tied to a mysterious mask. To survive this world, you must recruit the strongest barbarians, using the masks to possess and lead them toward a new era of civilization.
In the world of Soulmask, no two souls are alike. With over 871 unique Talents, Masteries, and Likes, your tribesmen offer infinite possibilities.
From bloodthirsty warriors and lethal hunters to legendary craftsmen and master harvesters—recruit them all. Transfer your consciousness through the mask to possess any tribesman, transforming them into your ultimate avatar.
The 1.0 update allows your barbarians to share their wisdom. Train your tribesmen and pass down skills to forge the ultimate, one-of-a-kind warrior.
Explore two ancient worlds spanning great distances, each with unique climates and ecosystems
Rainforests, deserts, snow-capped mountains, plateaus, and islands that you must adapt to... or perish. Each environment demands different strategies for survival.
Hunt for treasure in ancient ruins, battle mechanical enemies in labyrinths, or take on entire barbarian cities alone. This world is yours to challenge and explore.
Retrace the ascent of civilization: from humble thatch huts to impenetrable blackstone forts. Watch as your small settlement evolves into a majestic city.
From the first seeds of agriculture to the roar of machinery—experience the true evolution of civilization in Soulmask through farming, beekeeping, weaving, leatherworking, smelting, and more.
You do not walk this path alone. With a sophisticated command system, your tribesmen can automate every task. From gathering raw materials to managing logistics and assembly lines, you can design and transform your home into a fully automated industrial powerhouse.
In this world, the Mask is a symbol of the gods. Each Mask grants a unique combat style, while the Mimicry System lets you embody a deity to turn the tide of battle.
With 9 weapon classes, 88 weapon skills, and the infinite traits of your tribesmen, each battle is a thrilling test of skill to be experienced as you fight for survival.
Freedom is at the heart of Soulmask. Play solo at your own pace, team up with friends in co-op, run your own private server with custom rules, or step onto official servers where the stakes are real.
PvE if you want your civilization to grow undisturbed, PvP if you want to test it against rival chieftains. However you choose to play, over 200 customizable settings let you shape the rules, the rhythm, and the world itself.
In v1.0, we introduce three distinct playstyles: Tribe Mode for the builders and leaders; Survival Mode for the purists; and Warrior Mode for those who seek the thrill of brutal combat. Choose your style.
Supports Steam Workshop and everyone can now unleash their creativity with our powerful Soulmask Modkits to craft a Soulmask experience unlike any other.

Soulmask is currently best experienced with keyboard and mouse. We're actively working toward full controller and Steam Deck support, with a target of completing this in 2026. If you primarily play on a gamepad, we'd encourage you to wishlist the game and check back once that update lands.

Much better then ARK. Combat is decent, far from AAA action combat, but when you get used to then it's fun. Bosses fight and preparation is probably best part of game. There are cons, but I am too lazy to write it all, overall I like it.
This is just a round up of things I have noticed playing in single player. The game really is a mixed bag in terms of quality. It's playable and runs locally. It has some character. Watching some guy stomped to death by ten amazonian babes in a bare fist brawl was amusing after I removed all their items intending to standardise them with crafted items but then an invasion occurred as I can think of worse ways to go. It has a lot of potential but could also learn from some of the more awkward elements. I am playing Shifting Sands. 1. The biggest problem is just a lack of information. I also don't want to have to go to wikis with adverts on that attack the computer. I do not view adverts, this is against my religion for one and it is also harmful to the brain. Some areas are more pressing than others. It is for example very difficult to get clear and reliable correct information on the resources given by pens. What people call AI which largely is not accurate terminology as it is more an algorithm designed to appear intelligent than to be intelligent now tend to dominate search but don't know either so keep making things up. This is one of the major frustration points in games today, especially this type that makes players legitimately angry. They get giving the run around rather than straight up answers. Avoiding this causes a lot less friction with players. 2. In single player relaxing mode the balance isn't always great. It is at least largely possible to correct with going into settings. It's again a common problem with this type of game where there are many modes. A particular annoyance is a lack of flexibility around bonfire range. That one is a bit awkward even in single player as the map is cramped and sometimes a small range is good, sometimes a larger range. I'm weary of overlapping them and it would be good to get some information of how well this works. The modding toolkit is a bit brutal with a silly number of tiny files. An annoyance here is a lack of good working maintained mods for it in the workshop (which would ideally add another type or something). 3. Combat can be a bit annoying at times with the enemy moves that can grab you from behind cover or just grab you with dodge timing not being ideal. Followers can get in the way a lot but then most of these games have that problem. 4. It's sometimes a hodge podge as to how much of the tribe management is manual or automatic. 5. I suspect there is an auto drink setting around somewhere otherwise the fainting is just annoying. 6. The game can really stutter initially. I found that DX11 seems to behave a lot better than DX12 with less CPU spikes. 7. Perhaps I need to mess with settings but things can respawn on you while trying to clear a base. Similarly, load and save tends to not actually save a whole bunch of stuff with things just resetting. 8. The progression is a bit here and there in single player with some inconsistency around mechanics. One example is what has pens and what does not. Essentially, the mechanics will not be applied to everything. Some things have power mines for example but not others. The shifting sands map in particular is really kind of harsh outside of the starting area with little prospect for even small self sustaining bases across the map. 9. There's lots of little bugs and annoyances most of which I forget. The game seems to keep any of the worst ones at bay instead leaving the occasional petty nuisance here or there. It could do with a few QoL improvements but it is not the worst I have seen. It would be really nice if the rope way on the power mines were higher. 10. There are some annoyances with the size of things when placing them not always being correct. 11. There are some issues around camera like the turn rate being too slow for flying ships with controller. It is also annoying when aligning items in the base as the character often blocks the view. 12. I suspect it might end up that people make better maps. The Shifting Sands map has some annoyances like mine spots always near enemy mines. I almost refunded this game as it said no controller support at all but this is not true. It supports controller for most things so you can use it most of the time and switch to kbm on occasion.

BUENISSIMOOO
Jogo muito bem feito e bonito!
on par with icarus really great game
If like combat, crafting, and survival then this would be a great game for you. There are sliders to make things ridiculously easy, or harder than Hell, so everyone can find something that fits their playstyle.
great game - almost habit forming :-)
