review in english and fr i don't know why i had not seen the game before to find him in the promotion but it is really a great vr game i recommand first the immersion in vr is great you have to teleport to move but the wand and powers are really very cool , we see the magic really out of the wand and give us the impression to be a magician like Harry potter there is two goals one is to explore the dungeon and to find special item in order to unlock a portal and the second is to destroy other magician enemies , the enemies are very good good animated and have a great design they seems like shadows from far and from close they are like statue in gold the magic are really cool and have various effects , it is possible to use a element shied and the dungeon are big and have a good design the only unfortunate thing is we need to turn ourself to 360 degree it is not possible to change the rotation with the pad or button or i have not find this but for few dollards , euros only it would be infortunate to miss this game a really good experience i recommand you version française : je ne sais pas pourquoi je n'avais pas vu le jeu auparavant mais je suis content de l'avoir trouvé dans les nouvelles promotions c'est vraiment un bon jeu que je recommande l'immersion en vr est très bonne même si on doit se teleporter pour avancer , le système de baguette magique et de pouvoir est vraiment cool , et on voit bien la magie sortir de la baguette magique ce qui est très appreciable et nous donne l'impression d'incarner un magicien tel que Harry Potter par exemple il y a deux buts le premier explorer le dungeon à la recherche d'artefacts qui permettent d'ouvir un portail afin de progresser le second est de detruire des enemies magiciens : les enemies sont très bien modelisés et animés ce sont des statues qui de loin donnent l'impression d'être des ombres et de près ce sont statues en or 7 les magies sont vraiment sympas et ont des effets variés il est même possible d'utiliser un bouclier elementaire les donjons ont un bon design et sont grands la seule chose que je trouve personnellement dommage c est qu'il semble qu'il ne soit pas possible de se tourner autrement qu'en le faisant dans la réalité à 360 degrés , il semble à moins que je n'ai pas trouvé qu'il n y ait ni bouton no possibilité d'utiliser le pad pour tourner mais malgrè celà pour seulement quelques euros il serait dommage de passer à coté de ce jeu vr une bonne experience que je recommande
Shoddy, completely unpolished, thrown-together dungeon shooter. Honestly, it's not worth the $2.99 cost of admission. Buy a coffee instead.
TOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD
Soul Survival, developed and published by Soultek Studio, is a VR-exclusive action game that drops players into the role of a lone sorcerer tasked with cleansing a castle overrun by dark magicians and corrupted souls. The premise is straightforward but effective: armed with a magical wand and shield, you must venture through chambers, face relentless enemies, and uncover the source of the evil power hidden deep within. Rather than overwhelming players with narrative complexity, the game leans into its core loop of combat, exploration, and survival, allowing the fantasy of becoming a spellcaster to take center stage. The game features two distinct modes that define its structure. Story Mode presents a linear journey through the castle, culminating in boss battles that test reflexes and mastery of spells. It steadily escalates in challenge as new enemies appear and resources become scarcer, creating a sense of progression and urgency. Survival Mode, on the other hand, strips away narrative framing and drops you into wave-based combat where the goal is simple—last as long as possible against increasingly difficult opponents. These two approaches give the game both a sense of purpose for those who want structured progression and a more open-ended option for players who enjoy honing their skills. A key strength of Soul Survival lies in its use of VR mechanics. Spellcasting is handled through intuitive gestures, with the wand responding to your movements as you unleash offensive magic or raise a shield to block incoming attacks. This physical involvement creates an immersive feeling that traditional control schemes struggle to replicate. The game boasts over thirty-five different spells, which adds variety to the combat and allows for experimentation with different strategies. Choosing when to unleash a barrage of attacks, when to conserve energy, and when to raise defenses becomes central to surviving the castle’s challenges. Customization is another feature that helps tailor the experience. Players can adjust the game’s difficulty across easy, medium, and hard settings, but there are also options to fine-tune mechanics like shield regeneration, health recovery, and magical energy drain. These toggles make the game more accessible to newcomers who may be unfamiliar with VR combat while still offering a steep challenge for veterans who want every battle to feel punishing. This flexibility is a welcome addition, though it cannot fully compensate for the game’s relatively limited content pool. Despite its promising mechanics, Soul Survival struggles with depth and longevity. The environments, while atmospheric, become repetitive after extended play, and enemy variety is limited enough that combat scenarios begin to blur together. Once the campaign has been completed and Survival Mode explored, there is little incentive to return beyond refining performance or experimenting with alternate spell combinations. This lack of variety has been noted by players, many of whom found the game engaging in short bursts but difficult to commit to over longer sessions. Performance and polish also remain uneven. While the game runs on relatively modest VR hardware requirements, stability can vary depending on setup, and some players have reported technical issues ranging from crashes to awkward tracking. The sparse player base means that feedback and support are limited, leaving many potential improvements unexplored. Combined with a small community presence, these issues contribute to the impression of a project with good ideas that never fully matured into a polished product. Ultimately, Soul Survival is a game with a strong core concept that taps into the fantasy of wielding magic in VR but is held back by repetition and a lack of refinement. Its tactile spellcasting and adjustable difficulty provide a solid foundation for short sessions of immersive combat, and players who enjoy experimenting with magical mechanics may find it worthwhile for its novelty. However, those looking for a deep or polished VR experience are likely to find its shortcomings too noticeable. It stands as an earnest attempt by a small studio to create a magical survival adventure but feels more like a proof of concept than a fully realized VR title. Rating: 4/10
