This game is unplayable at this point. I was trying to be optimistic about the new stuff that has been introduced last month even though it slowed down the gameplay and didn't bring anything fun. There are so many bugs. SO MANY. More than ever. The update was last month and the amount of hotfixes we had since then must be a JOKE. They are every other 2 weeks and literally nothing important. I really hope something is being prepared in the background because you're k*lling this game.
the game was pretty peak and then they forgot how to add anything of substance to it for like 3 years and then they added 500 bugs and now it just sucks (also kinetic mistreats their employees and fails to meet promises and generally does not care about releasing updates in a horribly buggy state.)
im at a loss for words how awful the sorry state of this game is in right now. Ever since the character customisation update rolled out it has been embarrassingly buggy and janky. The fact that the former back breaking animations have more charm than whatever monstrosity we do now is... well, just embarassing. The fact they would rather keep this update than rollback, and the "fix" (if it even is one) is underprioritised, they would rather crap out another rework and remove yet another good map that didnt need it to begin with. That's another thing, why are we getting reworks for maps that dont need it when maps like high school and prison are literally untouched and suck? What kind of backwards ass is this? "the big maps take time"... Ok? Let them take their time, i dont mind, but god, when the game is broken because of a dodgy update, either roll it back or prioritise it But i guess my opinion doesnt matter at the end of the day, because im not part of the partner program after all. Closing my wallet to KG from this point on, they are incompetent, careless and ultimately dont care about us, and it shows through their roadmap.
Good game almost every month getting update and doing these updates by listening their comunity thats not hard but some developers as we know doesnt do that so 10/10
Yeah, so. I don't know who was responsible for the latest update, but this ♥♥♥♥ needs to be reverted back. The new animations are COMICAL to say the least and the game feels like a straight up alpha build of the game. It feels like a phasmo rip off. Performance wise, there's no issue. But after playing this game for the last 4-5 years, I have to say REVERT IT BACK. I don't think I will be revisiting until they fix what they broke. It's awful.
Play earlier versions, the newer ones are sh*t and the devs are too prideful.
This game is SO MUCH FUN. But, in my opinion, it is DEFINITELY a co-op game. Playing solo is alright, and playing with random people is pretty meh. But, if you can get your friends together, then you'll likely have endless laughs (and screams). Phasmophobia is genuinely scary at times, and I genuinely mean that. Not a single one of my buddies has gotten away without screaming at least once during this game. Despite the game having an overall rather repetitive gameplay loop, it doesn't "feel" repetitive AT ALL. Every match, even if you're playing the same map over and over, genuinely feels different from the last. I'd recommend this game to virtually anyone who gets enjoyment out of being spooked, just make sure to convince a few friends to buy it, too! ;p
If you had asked me several years ago if I recommend this game, I would have cautiously said yes. But after nearly 6 years of Early Access, it's honestly embarrassing what this game has become, and it's all because the devs are entitled pretentious children. Major update all but breaks the game? Told to get used to it and some of it will be fixed in the future. Want to use mods? Totally banned everywhere even in private servers for no actual decent reason. Mix that in with the questionable practices of pursuing other revenue through movie and board game deals whilst this sits in Early Access with asset flipped models, alongside more murky allegations of review botting, false banning players and insisting you know best? Utter joke. I cannot recommend this game at all and actively encourage you to check out other titles like The Other Side and Demonologist. Don't give your money to sleazy obnoxious con artists peddling a broken and unstable game.
its fun but can get repetitive you should buy it only if your friends do. everytime i talk i get kicked.
47 employees and it still develops at the speed and quality of 3 guys in the back shed. No QA, no art direction, half the game is still unity assets, and no social media management. It's actually impressive how slow this game develops.
