An ancient evil lurking within the Master Emerald has been unleashed from its slumber by the devious Dr. Eggman and is on the verge of becoming the ultimate monster using the 7 Chaos Emeralds. Only Sonic and his friends are heroic enough to put a stop to Dr. Eggman and his evil minions.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.14/day in the week to Aug 14 → 4.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

when this game is good it's hella good when it's bad it's hella bad also do not play the vanilla steam version or I will hunt you down play it with mods like bettersadx

~ DISCLAIMER ~
My opinion on this game is based on a modded experience that considers bugfixes and general QoL improvements as part of the base game. Just to mention it briefly, the vanilla unmodded version of this game is extremely rough, janky and just overall bad. The Steam version of Sonic Adventure DX is a botched port of the console versions, which are ports of the original Gamecube remaster itself. My take on this game is coming from a Gen Z player who's used to modern games. Yes, I am a lifelong Sonic fan, absolutely, but I am not going to pretent this is the initial release from 1999. I will judge it as the game that came out on Steam during the 2010s, because that is what you're buying here. (Modding capabilities included)

MAIN STORY CONTENT: With that out of the way, Sonic Adventure DX is an alright game if you're willing to play it in the modern day. It's a comfy experience compared to most other Sonic games, for sure, and I think just the vibes alone are enough to make this old gem charming even today. The story is fine, even if the voice acting is very bad even for its era (I personally prefer the japanese voices, but they're both mostly comparable to each other for different reasons!) The music and environment aesthetics have a lot of variety and vintage charm, even if they get a bit repetitive when you have to replay for each character's campaign. The characters play differently enough to be enjoyable on their own (except Tails). The different stories can be a bit inconsistent with each other, but the overarching story is pretty cool for its time. Eggman is more threatening and serious here than he is in the post-2010 games, which is fun to watch. Chaos himself is not exactly compelling as a character, but seeing his mutations and mysterious lore can be entertaining. SIDE CONTENT: There's 130 emblems to collect by doing various things, like finishing each story, tackling secondary and tertiary objectives in each level, playing minigames, etc. The more emblems you collect, the more stuff you unlock (more on that later). There's also one of the highlights of this game: the Chao Garden. This side mode lets you raise a small 'Chao' pet by feeding it critters you get from defeating enemies. Once your Chao pet grows higher stats, you can have it compete in races and stuff. It's not super deep, but it's entertaining as chill intermission between action levels. And lastly, there's Mission Mode. I hate it, it's an absolute slog, and I don't recommend it if you're not an achievement hunter. It's just ambiguous, menial micro tasks that you have to unlock and complete with every character by running around the hub worlds and action stages. There's 60 of them, and most of them suck. UNLOCKABLE GOODIES: By collecting more and more emblems, you can unlock emulated retro games from the 8-bit era, more things for your Chao pet, and (if you get all the emblems) you can unlock Metal Sonic as a secret character -- complete with his full set of stages and side goals. He's really neat, I like playing as him, even if he's just an elaborate reskin of Sonic. No playable Super Sonic outside the last chapter though, which is a bit of a bummer, but not terrible. CLOSING THOUGHTS: I like this game! It's the first game in the modern style of the franchise, and even if it is definitely rough around the edges with mods accounted for, it's still a fun time. Even as a newer player, there's plenty to enjoy here, and the cozy retro vibes are a big positive. It's also a really good entry point into the series for people who want to get into Sonic. But please, MOD. THIS. GAME. It's a vastly different experience. I'm not talking about major things like randomizers and meme things, I'm talking about the stuff you'd usually do for any other game, such as HD textures, models, bugfixes, better lighting and collisions, and just general quality-of-life stuff.
greatest sonic game
For this game I'd recommend getting this pack, that includes the SA Mod Manager as well as the necessary mods to make the game look like if it was a Dreamcast port: https://gitlab.com/PiKeyAr/sadx-mod-installer/-/wikis/home This part of the review is about main story completion only, with around 40 emblems total. This is one of the games I used to replay every now and then, and this is the first time I review it after finally playing the Steam version. Beating the main story took me 10 hours. An outsider would say that this game is far from perfect, maybe even far from good. It's true that it didn't age as well as other games of its time, and even other Sonic games that released a few years after this one. However, this game captures the spirit of what a Sonic game should be, and it offers something timeless. The atmosphere, created by the art style, the graphics and the music, create this environment that always makes me feel the right way. Station Square will always be a second home to me, and Mystic Ruins will never stop having this mysterious feeling of wonder. Something this game does, which I don't easily find in other games is a story that is slowly told by mupliple points of view. Even Big's fishing-based gameplay is utilized for the player to connect the pieces as to how each event took place. Speaking of story, both the grand story told in this game (aka the story of Chaos) and the stories of each individual playable character are all ranging from great to amazing. Being the first 3D Sonic game, it makes sense for Sonic's story to be a classic case of simply having to "nail that Eggman", but with a fair amount of twists and exploration along the way. Tail's portion is also great, considering his gameplay is very liberating and his story is one of the best Tails stories in the series. Knuckles' portion is also great, since I love treasure hunting and the lore about the Master Emerald. Amy's gameplay is weaker than the previous three but her story is good, considering it establishes her nature of admiring Sonic and caring for the helpless (in this case her birdy friend). Big's gameplay and story are the weakest but I can always enjoy a fishing section (since it isn't frustrating lol). Gamma's gameplay is awesome and his story is one of the best stories in the series, easily. The music is also one of the best in the series, one of the best VGM soundtracks of all time, in fact. If you're looking to get into Sonic, this game may or may not draw you in. So, I'd suggest you try the other games as well if you want to form a better opinion, mainly because Sonic is a franchise in which games differ a lot from each other. In conclusion, Sonic Adventure DX is a warm hug of a game. Now, let's review the end-game content: Once you finish the main story, you have 40 emblems, while the total you can get is 130. To get all the emblems, you will have to complete the following: - Trial (B and A rank missions on Action Stages) - Sub-games (Sand Hill, Twinkle Circuit, Hedgehog Hammer, and both Sky Chase acts) - Adventure field hidden emblems, and - Chao races The first 3 of these 4 will not take a long time. If the main story took 10 hours, you will have 30 hours total, max, by the time you do all trial missions, sub-games and find all the hidden emblems on the adventure field (assuming you use an online guide) The Chao races, on the other hand, are a can of worms that we shouldn't open. There are many ways to make your Chao fast enough, but I wanted to have all my Chao be Neutral type and be without animal features. So, the only way to do that is by feeding the Chao the "Chao fruit", to raise all their stats. If you choose this method as well, I strongly advise you turn on the Chao Stat Muliplier, which is a Code provided by the SA Mod Manager. It will simply save you a lot of time, nothing out of the ordinary. The best reward for getting all 130 emblems is being able to play as Metal Sonic in Sonic's stages, and in this case, Metal Sonic is just a slower Sonic with different animations and sounds. Worth it only if you are a fanatic. Overall, Sonic Adventure is a great game, worth having in your library regardless if you are a fan of the franchise or not.
chido pero sonic parese estar echo de goma no como el de la dream cast, me guti pero no se a donde ir porque nunca te avisa a donde ir
it's fine i guess
