Played great. The story, although short, conveys the utter despair
Simon feels when he finds out he isn't human anymore
. Learning details about the worldbuilding through the carefully placed details scattered throughout the map adds immersion incredibly well. I do think some aspects could be improved upon, for instance the movement, which at times feels clunky and really hard to navigate with, especially while being chased. -Wyrm
Non, désolé, mais je n'arrive pas à oublier la fin. Hâte de jouer à Ontos.

A wonderful and terrifying game. Gameplay is almost exactly like amnesia but manages to provide unique threats and puzzles to keep a little bit of the unknown in it. The choices are compelling and their lack of impact on the plot actually makes them feel more real than if there was a branching storyline. The game likewise asks a lot of interesting questions without giving any answers that the player must accept. Compelling, intelligent, and scary, SOMA is a classic survival horror that will sit with you long after it's done.
SOMA is an atmospheric horror game with a strong focus on storytelling, and it's easy to see why it has earned such a positive reputation. The game's underwater setting is exceptionally well designed, creating a tense and unsettling atmosphere that keeps you engaged throughout the experience. The environments are one of the game's greatest strengths, delivering a consistently eerie and immersive experience. While the overall narrative is well written and explores some thought-provoking themes, I found the storytelling less impactful than I had expected. The central plot becomes fairly predictable early on, especially if you pay attention to the clues scattered throughout the game. Rather than building toward a surprising conclusion, the game largely confirms what it has been hinting at all along, leaving the ending without much of a twist. Another aspect that weakened the experience for me was the protagonist. His persistent denial of the situation often made him seem frustratingly oblivious, even when the truth appeared obvious. This made it difficult to connect with his character at times. Despite these criticisms, SOMA is still a well-crafted horror game with an engaging atmosphere and an interesting story. At around six hours long, it offers a focused experience that doesn't overstay its welcome. I would recommend picking it up, especially if it's available at a significant discount.
Wow this game has some awful gameplay. im about 3 and a half hours in and the entirety of the game has been just a huge walking simulator with no real gameplay. the "puzzles" are tedious and incredibly boring, with little to no instruction on how to do them. Ive only had 3 enemy encounters and none of them have been fun or engaging in the slightest. you can just run straight past them and nothing will happen as they pose zero threat to Simon. Navigation is equally terrible, the game doesn't ever tell you where to go so I just find myself walking in infinite circles. this game also has enough special effects to give me a headache every time i play it for longer than 20 minutes. on top of that, the characters are extremely boring and uninteresting. At least the story is good i guess. 3.7/10.
e mu bueno me cague 20 veces jugandolo
It is a good game, however I don't really understand why it is so "life changing" for some folks. It is great to see the game that philosophizes on themes of conciousness and what does it mean to be a human, and I wish more games touched these topics, but at the same time, if you are into sci-fi, or just been thinking about conciousness from time to time, the main plot will be predictable. I think the side story and worldbuilding are more interesting in this game. Reading jouranls, listening for memories of people is truly interesting, it has been a while since I really wanted to read in the game, it doesn't feel like a filler, more like a separate plot inside the main plot. The gameplay itself is alright, it is noting special: you walk, you talk, you read, you listen, solve puzzles -> then you run from monster -> you walk, you talk, you read, you listen, solve puzzles -> ... reapeat 10 times. The level design, atmosphere, is truly amazing, sounds are belivable, creepy, have true volume. I believe you should play this game, slowly, feel it, it is good ground to start thinking about what are you, what makes you you. Just don't make a cult around it.
