About
Created and written by lifelong fans of Pen & Paper RPGs, comes Solasta: Crown of the Magister.
Roll for initiative, take attacks of opportunity, manage player location and the verticality of the battle field. Set yourself up for the finishing strike and possibly roll a natural 20 at that key moment of battle.
In Solasta, you take control of four heroes, each with unique skills that complement one another. Every hero expresses themselves in the adventure, making each action and dialog choice a dynamic part to the story. Players will create their heroes just as they would in a pen-and-paper game by choosing their race, class, personality and rolling for their stats.
You make the choices, dice decide your destiny.
An Epic Team Adventure
Discover the shattered world of Solasta: explore ruins and dungeons for legendary treasures, learn the truth of an age-old cataclysm - and stop it from happening again.
Create your very own party of adventurers with our Character Creation Tool in the classic tabletop RPG tradition. Breathe life into your heroes, and see their personalities reflected in their dialogue. Tailor your squad to your preferred strategy and maximize your party's abilities. The choice is yours.
Discover a Mysterious & Dynamic World
Delve into long forgotten dungeons to unearth ancient artifacts, but stay watchful of light and darkness: many dangers hide in the dark, but a light can attract monsters. Some enemies have darkvision, some may flee from your torch... Successful adventurers will learn to use it to their advantage.
Fight monsters in squad-level, turn-based, tactical combat. Solasta's dynamic environment offers some interesting tactical options. Bridges can collapse, leaving enemies stranded and vulnerable. Walls and columns can be pushed over - on top of your foes, if you do it right. The world is your playground.
Prepare to Think in Three Dimensions
The dungeons in Solasta are more than flat game-boards. Climb, jump, or fly around obstacles. Evade or surprise foes from above or below. Push them into chasms or drop things on their heads. Position yourself on high grounds to start the fight with an advantage.
Size also matters. Escape through narrow passages where bigger enemies won't fit and crawl through tunnels to find secret areas. Take advantage of the environment to find cover suited to your own size. Watch out, though - the monsters are also thinking vertically.
Dungeon Maker
In Solasta, the adventure does not stop after the campaign is over. Unleash your creativity and craft your own dungeons to play and share with friends with the snap of a finger using the in-game Dungeon Maker! From the room layout, monster composition and treasure the party will find – down to the decoration and lighting of each room or the music track playing – everything is decided by you.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is easy to follow and has a wonderfully classic ttrpg style storyline. The turn based system is easy to follow and the multiplayer keeps everyone involved and together.
[/strike]
There's nothing interesting about this game outside of the faithful recreation of 5e system. Incredibly shallow world, astonishingly boring characters, masterfully dull story and bizarre dialogues.
I do recommend this game but I have a few issues. First and foremost, I have never been one to care for graphics and my enjoyment of a game has never been decided by it. Even with all the pretext, the game looks pretty bad and outdated, especially for a game that came out in 2021, compare it to Solasta 2 which is only 5 years apart but looks grand. But this is just a first impression issue and as I kept playing it became less and less of an issue as I adapted to the weird and unkept look of it all. Secondly, and this is my biggest problem. This game is slow. Like, slow even for a slow burn, I saw a review that says the pace of the game depends on the player and I couldn't disagree more. From movement being already slow in animation, to then taking Caution and even being slower (Caution is something the game constantly hints at you doing with the characters hinting at it whenever there's something nearby), add environmental hazards and difficult terrain and you have 4 characters taking around 2 minutes to cross a small swamp. I applaud this game for being the most true to DND out of all the popular ones that tries to emulate it. But it is also very limiting in what you can actually do at the same time which really confuses me. For some ungodly reason, classes like monks and barbarians, two staple class of DND are behind dlc paywall (I have seen very little complaint about this as well so I know I'm in the minority) but as a giant hypocrite who is a one-trick monk dnd player myself, I had to buy it regardless. It didn't feel good paying for a DLC more expensive than the base game I got for a discount but it is what it is. Moving on, classes, subclasses and feats mostly stay true to how dnd works, so no major complains there, kudos to the team for it. There is a feel of a sadistic DM with how encounters work, with almost every single fight in the game having at least one enemy on the opposite team that can cast counterspell, even in fights where it doesn't make a lot of sense for a magic user to be on the enemy team. This feels like a spiteful DM preventing magic spellcasters from doing ♥♥♥♥-all for 90% of the game. This is balanced, for me, by having 3 martials that just brute forced through areas. Healers are almost not needed with how generous the game is with healing potions. Voice acting is meh, characters don't really act and talk like their personality while dialogue choices seems to sound different from what you think the character would say (but this is a true crpg choices matter problem of the ages) I do think the saving grace of this game is the community, those who make custom campaigns to make up for the kinda short experience the game offers. I have more fun with those than the story told in the main campaign. There are still, to this day, a bunch of game breaking bugs that are quite known apparently, and some "accidentally helpful" glitches too. This really sounds negative but it's because I truly believe the problems I had are, all in all, kinda minor and adaptable if you give the game a chance. It was still an enjoying experience and a great addition to does that loves to make characters and roll dices. A very, very solid 6/10
great game for cheap that is as good as BG3
It's an okay game. It's a faithful enough implementation of D&D 5th edition, you get to generate your own characters (or can rely on a suite of pre-gens if you can't be bothered, but where's the fun in that?), and you get to do missions for an annoying council of politicians. Your enemy are a race of shapechanging lizard people - maybe David Icke was right about the Anunaki all along... I was a bit reminded of the doppelganger plot in Baldar's Gate 1. The voice acting is a bit annoying, the characters look strangely ugly, and the plot is pretty linear, mostly an excuse for a series of tactical battles, although these are fun enough if you like turn based D&D combat, and they change it up with different settings, terrain effects etc. It's no Baldur's Gate, or even Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, maybe more like Icewind Dale with nicer weather. It scratches the tabletop roleplaying itch, and it's a fairly solid 7/10. One complaint: the game really needs a 'wait'/time passes function. Trying to time your long and short rests so that you tackle the vampires during daytime is quite painful.
