If you explained Divinity: Original Sin to a Martian programmer, she might create Shards of Feyra. It is baffling, buggy and a transparent cash grab. It is also entirely incomprehensible. When you start a new game, you are given the option of choosing two fixed characters for two parties -- the default settings are one Wizard/Death Knight team, and one Paladin/Rogue team. You are also given the option of picking from a list of traits for the party -- including fragile, resistant and hasty. Whatever impact that this has is entirely unexplained. In one of the two campaigns, Mountain Rescue, you start by receiving a message on the top right corner of the screen. It reads: "What the hell just happened?" If you click it, you are instructed to slay the shadow and earth golems, and to stop the ritual. Beyond being awful--this is a game where one must end ones turn after every hit--the game was bugged to the point of unplayability in the first battle. My characters could not move--though my wizard could switch places with the golems to bring about victory. After that, however, I was instructed to inspect a glowing stone--which I could not reach. At one point, my wizard got stuck in an animation loop, thrusting his(?) hips back and forth. This may be the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen sold on Steam. Does the company not vet the crap it puts up for sale? If the PR department says it does, I insist they sit down with Shards of Feyra.
I'm really sorry but I can't recomend this game as it is right now. It's really that bad? First of all, I need to congratulate the dev, this is an one person project and it's not easy. The bases are set, but there is a lot of work to do. Let me explain this and hopeful the dev can make some progress in it. - The interfaces are poor: The main menu lacks of design. I think the main font was choosen to look as an old writing style, but it might not be the best choice as some people won't read it right. The menu it is just a big grey frame with an uninteresting draw, but in the loading scenes we can see some atractive draws. Why the main menu is so cold? The in game interface lacks of information and desing again. We don't have any information about our characters. How many turns left with an active effect? What about resistances? It would be better if the game shows some character info. There is no feel about using the buttonts. For example, when the player have not a thing left to do, the "Next Turn" button might light or have some particles or something. How about lighting the buttons when the mouse is over them? This are just examples, but the interface needs some "life". Of course, it needs some design too, just look how this is made in other games, such as Divinity Original Sin. There are some other issues such as if you press Escape key, the menu is not in the proper size. Or if you choose to low the audio volume it might not work it you restart the game and so on. - Balancing: The combat needs some (MUCH) work and balancing. Playing as a Wizard is an example. Lightning bolt does 1-92 damage and normal attack 35-45. Why should I risk to waste 4 of my 10 mana points to something that have aprox 50% to do WAY LESS damage that my normal attack? Deathknight is a little too overpower compared to the rest of the companions. This is the hardest task. Balancing might take many, many hours of work, but the game as it is right not it will frustrate the RPG players. Some enemies attacks do so much damage that you will sure perish. Some spiders and plants does too much damage and the combat will end in a few turns letting you just be a spectator, nothing else. - Other things There are somethings that aren't explained anywhere, such as the camera controls, how the combat goes and some choices on the campaign selection. It would be nice if there were a tutorial showing how the player can interact with the game, abilities, etc. On enemy turn, they just act at the same time, it would be better if the enemies do their stuff one first, then other, and so on... But not everything is bad. This genre is too complex but the bases are set. As a prototype this is on the right path, but need a lot of work.I encourage the dev to continue his work on this game and don't leave it as it is.
I can recommend this small rpg, I had fun to play through solo!

La nécessité de tout recommencer à zéro à chaque session ;
L'absence de sauvegarde ;

Des graphismes soignés sans être de dernière génération ;
Le côté tactique des combats ;
Le développeur réactif et sympa ;
Les musiques étonnamment bonnes ;
Les classes variées ;
Shards of Feyra is a tactical RPG focused on combat, without story or character progression, but will well-differentiated character's classes. The game is not complete, but the developer is updating it several times at week. The game needs some refinement, but it shows great potential if you like a tactical RPG focused on battles. I will look forward to the final product. Complete preview: https://turnbasedlovers.com/overview/shards-of-feyra-preview/
Shards of Feyra is a tactical RPG turn base focused on combat, without story or character progression, but will well-differentiated character's classes. You can play solo and you also can play with a friend when you get past the way in fighting monster before you get to the next part and release the prisoner there it a shame they are not doing anything further development for this game because i really enjoyed it and great RPG dungeon game
If this game were priced any higher, I might have a harder time recommending it because it lacks some basic elements you'd expect to see in a game of this type. Most notably: there are no game saves. When you pick a campaign, you'll either play until you die, or you'll play until you reach the end. There is no saving to come back to it later. You also can't do anything to customize your characters, and I never leveled up, so those are a couple other obvious missing elements. While the negative reviews do make some valid points, my recommendation is based on two factors 1) the game is cheap, and 2) I did find myself having fun while playing. Sure, it took me a while to figure out what in the world was going on, and even longer to figure out how to play effectively, but I did get the hang of it, and I did enjoy myself...eventually. If you're willing to take a chance on a budget dungeon crawler, you might enjoy this one. Then again you might not. It's a gamble, but it's not an expensive one.
A little fun turn-based RPG. If you love this style, you should give it a try! This will be a blast after some updates and new content!
Grafic is nice, good playable BUT patch for errors is needed!, specially for errors near gates and stairs. Elswere good work. BUT saves missing at this time!
