Got the game through a bundle on Halloween 2025 and it was kinda fun. At some point the game got screwy and couldn't be played with a controller anymore. Now that it is released I see it had a genAI disclosure added on June 6th, shortly AFTER the release. Good job hiding that you used it until this late, great way to screw with people and making sure they will never touch your games again.
I picked up Sodaman for the price of a few sodas, and somehow it delivered more entertainment than the actual sodas. The game wastes absolutely no time. Within minutes you’re already blasting through enemies like you accidentally drank a 12-pack of energy drinks mixed with liquid confidence. The progression is fast, the action is nonstop, and before long you’re so overpowered that the enemies should probably be filing complaints with HR. I usually hate games that take 10 hours to “get good.” Sodaman basically walks up and says, “Nah, here’s a ridiculous weapon, go cause problems.” And honestly? I respect that. For the cost of a couple drinks from a gas station, you get a surprisingly addictive game that lets you become an unstoppable, caffeine-fueled force of destruction almost immediately.
Adding to the negative review pile, buyers beware! AI usage! The bloody nerve to not disclose AI use until *after* the 1.0 release, *after* being featured in a humble bundle? Truth be told, I don't buy the claim AI was limited to just concept art and voice acting - the game runs and plays like a hot mess, and you can find reddit posts from a few years ago where the devs were asking about AI usage for language translations. Sure would explain the bizarre writing... and if it isn't AI? Welp, you still have a slightly less dirty turd. AI aside, this game fails at being an engaging roguelike. Runs and objectives feel like slogs (which other roguelikes with similar run lengths manage to avoid), balancing feels as if it was decided by throwing darts at a board, and the galore of technical issues you can read up here should say plenty. Seriously, want a good game of this kind? If you don't have Vampire Survivors already, I'd recommend Army of Ruin, a really great clone of that game. As for this game, however? Shady devs, flimsy game, tiring 100%, AI weirdness... just stay away from this one.
First of all, uses AI. Like, the voices of the characters are terribly disturbing. Second of all, the women is this game are here for the purpose of the main character lust, and if not they are here for his friends. Third of all, mecanics are all right, combos are quite enjoyable. So if you want to sell your soul, feel it while you play, and encounter a few bugs, go ahead.
Buyer beware. Uses AI slop.
Very funny to add a disclosure about AI after release, as if you know it's bad and didn't want to admit to it, but still used it anyway. You could have paid some random internet strangers a bloody fiver and gotten infinitely better voice acting. It doesn't "deliver a more immersive experience," you'd just rather use algorithmic slop than a real human being, and it's nothing but a detriment to your game
İyi hoş her şey çok güzel de, her turun sonlarına doğru (düşman sayısı artınca) düşüyor. Optimize ederseniz 900 saat oynarım (söz)
This game has amazing potential, but I cannot recommend it to anyone due to several serious reasons: 1. At the Start screen, there seems to be some sort of malware or bad optimization thing which will cause your GPU to SCREAM since it will overload it. Your only way to save your GPU is to start the game quick as possible. When the game starts playing after the first screen, everything is ok, but if you manage to leave your game at start screen, your GPU might die. This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen in any game. 2. Cage boss enemies in second and third world are the worst character design in the universe and are broken and most horrible thing that I have ever created: First problem is armadilo like creature which will kill you if you do not focus on movement speed, which is retarded solution, taking away the options to choose updates as you want. If you dont upgrade movement speed its just game over in that level when that boss appears since it will stick to you and shave off your hp in seconds. Second even worse problem is the Digger, creature that is invulnerable 80% of time since its underground and you cannot attack it. He has 2 much damn hp so you will manage to skim around 1-2% of his hp if you are lucky, since Digger will emerge from ground, charge at you, attack once and then go back underground for a prolong period of time. This would not be a problem if this game isnt TIME LIMITED per run, so you can lose more than 3-4 minutes fighting him (you have 20 minutes per map btw) 3.Invisible attacks. This game is filled with that stupidity. You will not be able to see anything in bigger groups and just die since enemies will drop small nuke at you which is like 10 pixels, and you will just see game over screen. 4.Performance issues. This is a game which should work on a damn 20 years old computers looking the graphics, and it still throttle when there are more than 30 enemies on screen, almost nuking frames per second to 10 or sometimes even less. Just avoid this game until devs fix the issuses and balance problems.
Nice game. its fun
