So May It Be: A Witch Dating Simulator

[u]Complaints[/u] • Mediocre writing. • So many typos that it seems like the dev did absolutely no proofreading. • Dialogue repeats when visiting a witch again and examining objects in her house. • No way to skip read text. • Dialogue choices don’t matter much. • The routes are way too short to actually develop any attachment to the characters. • Characters are poorly developed and one-dimensional. • There’s an achievement for convincing one of the characters to stay in a toxic relationship. Wtf? I just can’t recommend the game, especially for the price of $12, when it’s so short and unpolished. It had a decent concept, but there's almost no substance to it.

[i]So May It Be[/i] is a short and sweet sapphic visual novel about a coven of teenage girls as they go on dates, practice witchcraft, and plan to move forward with their lives after high school. All of the three love interests are well written with realistic struggles and character arcs, the art style is super charming, and all of the mini-games are enjoyable to play. Recommended for when you want to wind down and play something relaxing and fluffy.

Lovely little game. Art is awesome, music is lovely, very witchy and cute at the same time. Also very relaxing which is quite nice. Couple of issues which would be good to look into: -Exit points! Be nice to have an option to exit the game sometimes!! - Spelling. There are some spelling mistakes which as a grammar nerd it kinda takes you out of it (sorry devs/game designer!). Also the game is quite short, which is good for replay value but would be nice if there were a few more days.

I would kill for Nate. Best brother. I give it about 20 "I SEE DEAD PEOPLE" out of "Harold, they're lesbians"

I love this game so much! Everything feels so well done from the music to art style to writing and it comes together as a very cosy and cute experience. I highly recommend picking it up ^w^

推荐打骨折时候入手，太短了，一周目我先把每个人的第一次约会都体验了一遍再选的Morgan，还以为约会少是因为我先前选了别人，于是不死心地又二周目了一下，结果真的只有两次约会啊！！！又不能Skip，鼠标都要按出火了我服了，感觉制作组就是靠不能存档也不能Skip增加游戏游玩时长的。 至于游戏剧情本身，我还是很喜欢Morgan的，就是看上了黑皮白毛带点口嫌体正属性的酷姐才买的游戏，而且姐夸我像小狗，还要啥自行车！如果有类似女性RO的女同游戏请推给我，谢谢……

First you discuss via chat your plans about attending Harvest Festival together with them, afterwards you get to choose whom to talk to privately and you can head outside for a visit.[/b][/i] [h1]Featurings:[/h1] The game includes choices that will affect the stats as well as, the option to interact with the girls' belongings situated in their room. To summarize it all, the game is presented as regular Dating Sim with few cute point and click elements that also permit you to unlock Steam achievements. Fair short story, perfect for a read during Halloween's Eve. Nothing too eerie aside from few supernatural parts, however the story overall is pretty laid back and offers a relaxing reading experience. Background art is well made and colorful, changing palette depending on whose place you decide to visit. [h1]Personal considerations:[/h1] A cute game where you get to date different girls (one per gameplay) presenting diverse personalities. While not being a particular fan of the sprites' art, I really adored the use of color palettes, as well as the room designs. The only thing that was found to be superfluous are the plenty of choices given at the beginning of the gameplay. Wouldn't recommend purchasing this game at full price, as it is really short, in fact you can clear the game in 4h approximately. Recommended if you are seeking for something entertaining during Halloween's Eve, or simply find yourself enjoying Halloween elements. Not recommended if looking for a Dating Sim of long duration with complicated statistics or games with significant heroines' routes. So May It Be is an adorable dating sim with pretty art and heartwarming writing all the way through. All three dating options are so lovable (to me at least) that it was a very difficult choice to make for the final chapter! Even better than that though, So May It Be is a tutorial game for baby witches! If you've ever been curious about some of the things witches do, this is a nice way to dip your toe in. Even if you're already quite familiar, it's great to see how the creators have recreated certain rites digitally. I believe this game is well worth your time, go check it out!
