2/10 don't bother.
I played smugglers 4 so naturally i figured this would just be a better game. The new skill system is more of a limitation system than a benefit if your class dose not have boarding or factory ownership you will spend many hours just to find out content is unavailable and rank grind is insane. Even with 16 hours i was unable to confirm if you can buy a battleship. In the end i would get smugglers 4 or buy directly from the developers site as this one is not the current version. 5/10 just not quite worth 10$ unless the net is down.
Very nice game

Was bored, dug this out in my library to see what made teen me buy this. Could not play due to the outright hostile UI. Zero optimization for any screens bigger than about 1366x768, everything is tiny. No graphics settings. Deafening music, no way to adjust it other than turning it off. Cherry on top: description of one of the factions uses CSA quotes, and IIRC they are presented as the good guys, or at least not very evil. Verdict: terribly outdated in more ways than one.

Tags: Tycoon&Simulator&Sim&City Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Hybrid between Offer/Demand hotspot trader and a Spaceship turn based combat game. Unwieldy UI. Improper fullscreen. While this game has somewhat of an authentic, fully fledged title aura to it. The cumbersomeness of getting to any fun gameplay really gets in the way. You must travel from area to area, opening a trade window and fill in cargo, buy low, sell high, and deal with encounters along the way. While the concept in an of itself reminds of freelancer types, the flow on the flat 2D presentation is clean, sterile, and strangely uninteractive due to the learning curve. Even following the long winded slow tutorial leaves to a lot of trial and error and frustration early on. Conclusion: While there might be a decent game for the trading game addicts, of which there are very few due to the highly niche aspect of this genre. The rest of us would rather play a proper freelancer types or the many indie spaceship games out there that involve keeping a crew alive or fighting RPGmaker style battles with ships. I could list a few recommendations but honestly this genre of making trading into real games was sort of a flawed experiment. The death of the patrician/guild/port royale type games is a good example of that.
Fun basic game.
Not a bad game. It has enough things to keep me busy and is good when you just want to play something quick and casual.
