Ok so as the (as far as I can see) first review for this game, the most important question to answer is it worth the money? well, yesss... but with a few caveats. Put simply, I don't think it is quite up to the price it is asking ($10 American at full price for me) but it is very close. Firstly, It is a good game. The artwork is really quite nice, which surprised me, because my initial reaction was to not like all the blue. However, as you go along, instead of getting sick of the artwork, it has enough variety to be interesting. Another factor is that everything is very clear. your character, the enemies, and all the projectiles stand out very well against the backdrop, and the backdrop is dynamic enough to not become boring. as of where I am currently (at the second boss, who I have versed but not beaten yet), I have only seen a few primary colours, or variants of them, but this isn't neccessarily a bad thing. Like I said before, the environment is dynamic enough that having little variance in colour isn't really a bad thing here, and it does have the benefit of making the game very clear. As for the sound, it's just like the graphics. There are several tracks in this game, and they don't really differ very much, at least from what I've experienced. However, they do set the mood for the game as a brooding, tense (but not dark) game. the music is perfectly sufficient for this game. Next we have the controls. and there is nothing to complain about them. They are crisp and your character will stop on a dime. I haven't yet experienced a moment when I said to myself "I didn't want to go there" unless it was my own fault. Now i must mention the game mechanics here, because they are directly related to the controls. The main game mechanic is that your character, instead of having a gun, has a sheild, and he/she/it will be shot at by a variety of enemies. Using the sheild, you can then bounce the enemies projectiles back at the enemies and kill them if you so desire. Aside from the bosses, there is absolutely no need to kill anything. The sheild you carry spins around your character following your mouse. It works fine, and again, I have yet to had "What was that?" moment that wasn't my fault. But aside from making things easier, there is absolutely no need to kill the enemies. Your entire goal is to get to the end-zone without dieing (its a one hit kill mechanic both for you and your enemies, except the bosses). You can run through the levels without killing a single enemies. the only reward for killing enemies is the (occasional) powerup, which give you temporary abilities like being able to shoot, invulnerability, or causing an explosion that kills enemies around you, but not you. In my experience however, the powerups seem to be a little to short to be much use and not worth going out of your way for. Very occasionally they will save you, but usually they aren't worth to much. Another thing to consider when buying this title, is that there isn't a story. All enjoyment is to be found in the game itself, and there is quite a bit to be found there. In my experience I have had a quite a few moments when I've been pumped to get to the end of a particularly annoying zone, or blocking a shot i didn't quite see coming, and of course some very frustrating moments when i would mistakenly bounce a projectile into a wall and it would bounce straight back at me. A final note when considering this game, note that at first you are restricted to moving in only two directions. However, after the first boss, the levels open up and you are able to move in four directions. The path is always linear, and you will always know what direction you need to go. To summarise, I think this is a good game, everything is sufficient for what it does, and I cant find any major faults for this game. However, I do not think this game is quite worth $10 American. In my opinion it appears to be worth around to $6-7 mark, any lower and I would be happy to grab it.
When I first started playing this, I save it a solid "meh". The graphics are excellent for the minalist design, the soundtrack is good albeit a little shorter than I'd like, the controls are intuitive, and the gameplay's core mechanic (navigating a fixed path with a shield) is simple but solid. But there's not much more than that. Or so I thought. Once you're deep enough into the game, once you think it's nothing but being on a fixed-path with a shield, there's an actual *boss battle*. It'll be frustrating, and you'll get past it, and then the game changes its feel again. It's refreshing, and I would have missed it if I didn't stick through the first hour of somewhat repetitive gameplay. There are lots of mechanics this game could do with: achievements, time-trials, shared high-scores with friends, and some customisation. But it's still a fun game without those things. Probably worth $0.80 if you're looking for something to distract you for a few hours, but I'm not sure it's worth the full $7.99 list price.
It's not a bad game by any means, but since it is listed at 10.99$, i will rate it a thumbs down. It's simple. You are a ball that walks on a line, stuff is shooting at you and you have a shield to deflect the bullets. In a few minutes i've made it past level 10, the game is a 120 level affair. That's the type of game that is free on a tablet. The graphiqs are ok for what it is and so is the soundtrack. If they lower the price to a more respectable value like 1$ or maybe 2$ i might revisit this review. As it is, there are a ton of better games for such a price on steam.
Hypt is a cool little indie game that gradually gets more challenging with continued play. I really like the soundtrack too and I recommend the game if you're looking for a fun game to lose yourself in for a couple hours ^^.
Nope nope nope.
In this game, you follow the line, avoid red lasers and reach the goal at the end of line. Use the mouse to control the shield around you. The shield can reflect the red laser. You can use it to reflect the laser at the shooter to kill them. You'll die when the laser got you from behind and then you have to start over the level again. The challenge is:

There are many shooters to watch out and they have a long distance shoot. They may shoot before you can see them
Some of the shooters have a rapid shot
Some of the shooters can even move and shoot you while moving
It's kinda difficult to reflect the lasers right to the shooter to kill them.
Some of the shooters might drop power up, makes you invulnerable for several seconds, which is another reason to kill the shooter. It's not everyone of them will drops it though. This game is so fun and challenging. I don't know how many the levels are, but for the format at level selection, I can guess there are more than a hundred levels. For a suggestion:

Add score or achievement or something for us to put more effort destroying the shooter instead of just avoiding them.
Add a text or something that tells us that it is a power up and it can be clicked. For the first time, I didn't have any idea that it can be clicked. Add a "click here" text or a pointer so we know that it can be clicked.
Sorry if my English is bad, feel free to tell me my mistake, so I can correct them.
0/10 Overhypt. No let me actually explain why I do not reccomend it. In Hypt you are a ball, with a teeny tiny shield that bounces back projectiles. And you try to roll into the end of a level either running and praying or bouncing back shots into enemies one by one. The first couple levels are going on a single line but soon you have full movement. The game gets the maximum possibility out of its simple mechanic with level design presenting you with unique challenges and particularly the bosses are a unique challenge. The music got the job done but a small variety of tracks leads to it being repetitive should you find yourself already annoyed by constantly dying. The looks are supposed to represent some kind of computer world and they do that well but I really didnt like them, as over time I got a headache staring at them. In the red world it can also sometimes be hard to see red enemies on red ground in the heat of the moment. Now what bothered me most was how the over time repetitive music and the nauseous making background combined with at parts horrid hit detection and unintended visual glitches (its a computer world so it plays with intended glitches a lot) and physical glitches, letting me die while invincible for example or killing an invincible enemy that was invincible because if it died you wouldnt be able to pass the level. At full price I would definately not reccomend this, but ya know on a decent sale if you have the boredom to spare and are interested in the core concept you might as well take a look. Its not a bad game, it just executes a lot of things badly.
Got this game in a 90% Steam sale.. Amazing and very addictive fun! Here's my 13 min review video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZcvBk5Va98 Hypnotic techno music, check. Simple to learn, difficult to master gameplay, check. Plenty of levels to keep you busy and challenged, check. It's a great indie game that offers a huge bang for your dollar, especially if it's on sale here.
Cute game. Worth $10, probably not. Worth a buck, definitely. It's one of those games that is based on a simple, albeit clever principle, that in itself is not quite enough to make it worth full price. However, I got this as part of an Indie Gala bundle, a Friday bundle of 12 games for $2.90. So for the 24 cents I effectively paid for this game, it is definitely worth it! I would say after playing it just long enough to understand how the game works, that it is probably worth at most $3, but that's just my opinion. I could see myself playing this game for maybe an hour, two at most. It is mainly based off navigating a fixed course. Initially, you are following a light beam (using WASD), and have a little shield that reflects the light beams that are trying to delete you (controlled via mouse where you move the mouse in the direction of the oncoming light beam). So the controls are simple and intuitive and the playstyle is engaging, for a while, but I'm not sure I would see myself playing this for hours, since it seems to be mainly based upon timing and some reflexes. The abstract artwork is the pretty kind that coud make good desktop backgrounds, but not enough to really hold your attention after a while.
Hypt is a fun little game in which your follow a path through a level , try not to get hit by bullets and/or bounce them back at your enemies. The reason why I still not recommend this game is because I feel it's just that there should have been a bit more for the price tag. There is only one mode, menu's are simplistic and even though I'm not a game developer, as far as I know a game like this could be made in Unity quite easily. The game may still enjoy you for a few hours and if this is your thing then go for it.
