Old school platformer. Difficult, very difficult, but very fun and challenging. Only for platformmaniacs.

Slingshot Explorer is a funny and challenging retro platformer. It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but uses tried and trusted mechanics, plays smoothly and has a couple of funny ideas. The game is presented in a pseudo-retro look. The graphics and animations range from good to tolerable, with a lot of variety. It's very reminiscent of platform games of the early 80s, not only in terms of gameplay, but also in the difficulty level. It gets hectic quickly and is very hard to beat. The game seems to be free of bugs, but there are some unnecessary annoyances. For example, there's no settings menu and no way to change the controller or keyboard mapping. On top of that, any information about the controls is hidden in a sub-menu. So if you want to know how to navigate the menu, you first need to... uh... navigate the menu. Apart from that I can recommend the game to anyone who likes platform games and a real challenge.
The only reason I ran this game for 6 minutes is because that is the minimum amount before I'm allowed to write a negative review. Saying it is trash is an insult to trash.
6/10
[EN]
Always Going Up
This game is insanely hard, but with simple controls: move, jump, and shoot! If you are into tough challenges, you're in for a treat! As for me, I cannot pass a certain level, much less have the sanity to do so. The levels are incredibly hardcore. Special thanks to Tacky Games for the free key! [PT]
Sempre a Subir
