I absolutely adore the storyline! Honestly, it would make a great movie. <3 <3 <3 Here are some of the things I liked about the game: - Able to switch difficulties at any point in time (except during battle/scenes) - The character and landscape design are really nice - Ending scenes with open-ended mysteries Areas of Improvement: - It was a bit difficult to see the stats of the armour/weapons equipped unless you unequip them. It would be nice to have a comparison table popup or something. - Endless loop area got a bit buggy when I tried to use the mouse to move the characters. They would stop moving once they reach the loop and then I can't move unless it's with the arrow keys. Overall, I really enjoyed the game and I think others would too.
A typical RPGMaker junk. Not the worst one, but nowhere near a decent RPG - or a decent game in general. Honestly, I regret the time I had to spend on it, and the only reason for that was feeling compelled to 'complete' it after foolishly starting it long ago. It ticks every box for a negative review: I do not recommend it because I didn’t enjoy it. I do not recommend it because it’s objectively bad. And I do not recommend it because there are countless better games overall - and far better RPGs in particular for the asked price.
Sencillo pero muy divertido. Los personajes son muy carismáticos, el arte es muy bueno y el lore es interesante. Ojalá salgan más juegos en el mismo universo, queda mucho por conocer en ese mundo.
Skyborn is short, sweet, and tells a focused story. Skyborn wastes no time getting interesting and it doesn't drag on for too long. There is an impressive amount of polish here for an RPG Maker title. Big budget studios could learn some lessons here. The game respects me as the player: No random battles, enemies visible on the world & don't respawn, save most anywhere, generous healing areas, quick exit from most dungeons.
I went through this game doing my due diligence. I equipped the best armour, the best weapons, augmented them, defeated all enemies and collected all the exp I could find, only to get to the final boss and be wiped multiple times to AoE attacks that dealt twice as much damage as most of my party's health. Maybe I missed something earlier in the game or maybe optimised turn-based RPGs just aren't my thing, but I was already on the fence as to whether to recommend this game due to basic characters and plot and the final boss being impossible (at least for my party) and would have to go back an hour, as there's this point of no return before, to gain extra strength just seals it as a game to miss.
Hätte mir gewünscht man könnte nach dem Ende noch weiter spielen und vielleicht die Arena zu ende machen.
Short, fun, and absolutely worth it on sale. A good story and engaging combat for an afternoon of your time.
Great game that does not overstay it's welcome. It's simple yet well done, challeging, though sometimes might feel unfair. Yet you can change difficulty level at all times so you're not stuck. Interesting characters and mechanics - recommend.
clearing on hard was quite the tactical, but fun challenge
