Только по памяти и старой любви из детства, иначе в такие игры с удовольствием, увы, не поиграть.

tutorial is very harsh, to many text, to many abilities, and enemies too strong from the first minute, i expected a lot and i ended disapointed
Viel Spass
Silverfall: Earth Awakening is a substantial standalone expansion that builds upon the foundations of the original Silverfall by broadening its systems, world, and thematic ambitions. Developed by Monte Cristo and published by Focus Entertainment, the game represents a distinctly mid-2000s approach to action RPG design, one that prioritizes scale, customization, and player agency over streamlined presentation. Even today, it stands as an interesting snapshot of an era when ARPGs were experimenting with large worlds, complex skill trees, and moral alignment systems rather than tightly scripted experiences. The setting of Earth Awakening centers on the fantasy world of Nelwë, a land fractured by the growing conflict between the forces of nature and the rise of technology. This philosophical divide is more than narrative flavor; it underpins the game’s core identity and influences how the story unfolds. Rather than presenting a single linear plot, the game offers a looser narrative structure where exploration, side quests, and faction interactions gradually reveal the broader state of the world. The storytelling is understated and sometimes fragmented, but it provides a steady sense of purpose as players uncover corrupted regions, ancient secrets, and political tensions simmering beneath the surface. Character creation is one of the game’s strongest elements and a major contributor to its replay value. Players can choose from several distinct races, each with unique traits that subtly shape playstyle and role-playing flavor. Progression is deep and unapologetically complex, featuring an extensive skill system with a wide range of active abilities, passive bonuses, and powerful ultimate skills unlocked at higher levels. This breadth allows for highly specialized builds, whether focused on melee combat, ranged attacks, spellcasting, or hybrid approaches. The freedom to experiment is central to the experience, and the game rewards players who invest time into understanding how skills and attributes synergize. Combat follows the traditional hack-and-slash formula, with real-time encounters against large groups of enemies that emphasize ability usage and positioning. While moment-to-moment fighting can feel repetitive over long sessions, the sheer variety of skills and spells helps maintain engagement. Encounters often become more about managing cooldowns, resource consumption, and crowd control than reflex-driven precision. The inclusion of crafting systems further enriches this loop, allowing players to forge weapons, armor, and enhancements that meaningfully affect performance rather than serving as minor statistical upgrades. Exploration in Silverfall: Earth Awakening is ambitious, if occasionally unwieldy. The world is expansive, filled with diverse environments ranging from lush forests to barren wastelands and ancient ruins. This sense of scale contributes to immersion but also exposes some of the game’s age, as navigation tools and quest guidance are limited by modern standards. Players are often expected to pay close attention to dialogue and environmental cues to determine where to go next. While this can lead to moments of confusion, it also reinforces a feeling of genuine discovery that many contemporary games smooth away with explicit markers and constant direction. A defining feature of the game is its alignment system, which tracks the player’s affinity toward either nature or technology. This choice subtly alters quests, dialogue, and available equipment, adding a layer of role-playing depth that encourages multiple playthroughs. Although the system is not as reactive or far-reaching as modern morality mechanics, it does succeed in making decisions feel more than cosmetic. The thematic contrast between organic magic and mechanical progress gives the world a unique flavor that distinguishes it from more conventional fantasy settings. Visually and technically, Earth Awakening clearly reflects its era. Character models, animations, and interface design feel dated, and the camera and controls can take time to adjust to for players accustomed to modern ARPG polish. Occasional technical quirks and clunky menus are part of the experience, but they rarely undermine the core gameplay once familiarity sets in. Instead, they serve as reminders of the game’s ambition relative to the tools and conventions of its time. Ultimately, Silverfall: Earth Awakening is a game defined by scope and flexibility rather than refinement. It may lack the cinematic storytelling and mechanical smoothness of newer action RPGs, but it compensates with deep customization, an expansive world, and a willingness to let players shape their own path through complex systems. For fans of classic hack-and-slash RPGs who value freedom, experimentation, and old-school design philosophy, it remains a rewarding and distinctive experi Rating: 6/10
