Silent Hunter®: Wolves of the Pacific U-Boat Missions

It has several canned missions to choose from some based on historical locations including the depths of the areas so you don't have to do a campaign in fact I prefer them. I especially like the night missions with the search lights and star shells too. You have several types of subs available some rudimentary up to what was cutting edge. With many options to make it as real or not as you like. I just like having fun put my sub into situations and see what I have to do to get out. Sometimes I don't. LOL The campaigns are longer of course having to go from base to patrol areas and back watching out for aircraft and checking on sightings, reports, and guessing/anticipating where one might be and to see if you can intercept a convoy. I think anyone who enjoys sim games would like this.

This game is extremely buggy; not even mods could fix it. On my first patrol (playing vanilla), I was supposed to take some soldiers to the coast of the Philippines, but it was impossible to complete the mission because the landing site icon was located too far inland. Then I decided to try the Fall of the Rising Sun' mod; it’s better, but there are still issues — especially with the audio, with duplicated voice commands, your sub sounds like it's damaged then you hear a torpedo being fired when you load the game. Then you have the issues of the game not counting the ships you sunk, this is the worst problem, I decided to quit playing after experiencing this one a few times. It's enough time consuming to track the enemy with 100% realism just for the game to say in your face: "You didn't sunk this ship even though it is at the bottom of the ocean".

簡単にWindows11でsilenthunter4を動かす手順だけ載せておきます。 普通に購入して起動しても動きません。 steamのライブラリの管理を開き、ローカルファイル観覧を選びフォルダーに移動します。 階層も記載しております ○○インストール先のドライブ　Steam　steamapps　common　Silent Hunters wolves of the pacific　階層にあると思いますので開いて、 testappのアプリを右クリックしたらプロパティ選択して, 互換性をクリック。 互換性モード　Windows7もしくは以下に設定する　下の640×480の解像度も選択して適用する。 steamから起動すると動きます。　 私のPCはゲーム起動を確認できました。

The zenith of the Silent Hunter series by far. Great, dynamic campaign. Some bugs but that seems to be the norm
