We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

Even more clunky than Silent Hill 2 Remake and this isn't even Bloober team. Atmosphere, setting and characters are all great. Enemy variety and design is interesting, some a little odd and reminding me a bit of the Last of Us. Puzzle difficulty was set on Hard for me, combat on Story; I hate that this is an option in the newer Silent Hill games, but the some puzzles are outright stupid, particularly one involving a field. You'll know when you get there. The hints aren't even hints. :/ Along with the combat being the jankiest I've seen in modern gaming, the game is still fun and interesting to experience. I'd recommend. Keep in mind, I've only ever played Silent Hill: Downpour (which I hated), and just within the past week beat Silent Hill 2 Remake (amazing game, tragic story).

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

There are two wolves inside me
Long story short: great setting, story, and visuals. Combat can take a while to get used to, but in the end, it was a fun challenge too. I just wish I had known that there is absolutely no reason to play it on the hardest Action difficulty the first time around (that is, if you plan to experience all achievements and endings through NG+). To put it in more words, I did not enjoy my first run. The combination of Hard Action difficulty and unfamiliar combat was too much. I found the story great, a little too close to home, and sometimes rather confusing, although I understand that this was intentional. I quickly bonded with Hinako, but I couldn't do the same with the other characters,
mainly because you need to find out about them yourself through documents and multiple playthroughs, as the cutscenes are unreliable and someone is killed right away.
It is not your typical Silent Hill game per se, but it has plenty of that psychological torment. At the end of my first run, I faced a difficult decision: play again or not. That was the first time I looked up anything about the game online, as I did not want spoilers to plague my first impression, and I realized that there was a lot more to the game that could be explored after finishing it once. Here I am after 100%ing the game, and I feel satisfied. The other runs felt much smoother. For example, the game tells you whether you have already seen a cutscene or whether it has been altered by your actions, so you don't need to worry about going through everything again feeling like a chore. I'm thankful for the experience. Good luck. *
TLDR: Play the game through all endings/routes for the whole story. I liked my experience with the game a lot. The game looks beautiful, and the art direction is exactly as strong. The atmosphere of this game is spot on for a J-horror of the decades past, and monsters are quite disgusting, dangerous, and degraded looking as Silent Hill games of the past without feeling like we've seen these monsters before (replaying Silent Hill 1-3 makes me glad this game took more "personal" influence.) Akira Yamaoka (as always) and Kensuke Inage (and not to understate the contributions of "xaki" and "dai" for their respective tracks) create a sometimes harrowing, atmospheric, and very often narratively intertwined Soundtrack. A shame that the physical release of the soundtrack has since been cancelled. The melee focused combat system is often characterized as Souls-like, but punishes you often for trying to treat it like one. A metal pipe is fine too. The full story only emerges in NG+, the game asks more of your time to flesh out what it tries to hide during First Play. This Necessary NG+ has been the only caveat of the game I can say had consequence in my recommendation. The performance optimization is also in need of some work. (Pretty game made me think about an upgrade all over again.) Surface level clickbait issues, endless nostalgia, and a horrendous new Silent Hill Movie have also muddied any discussion on what is definitely the best of Konami's New Venture to the foggy depths of Silent Hill's waking nightmare. Just getting the thoughts out while the review box is here on Steam, hoping that Konami is on their up-swing again.
"Wherever I choose to go will be up to me," Hinako wrote in her journal. A very simple and easy thing to say or write in this context, but—we all know—is hard to do. I think this quote is interesting because the game somehow revolved around this quote. Hinako wanted to do what she wanted to do, and go where she wanted to go, but she couldn't. Any other people might think it's easy just to shrug it off and turn the other cheek, but it's a whole different demon especially if the pressure comes from those closest to you and within you. Not a lot of people may understand, but it's an issue that still happens to this day which Ryukishi07 has penned or encapsulated so well in this game. The game is truly beautiful—the story, the imagery, the voice acting, and symbolism. This is one of the best-looking games I've played. I played this on Japanese since I found there are nuances in the translations, that only playing this game in the original language would do it justice. It's an amazing game, I just wish the combat wasn't like that (or maybe I wish I were better at it? Lol); I had no problem playing until the last boss fight in the true ending that got me thinking, "Is the combat bad or I'm just really terrible at this?" I was really bullheaded about it too, I didn't want to lower the difficulty. Lmao. Other than that, I really loved this game. I took some time off after every ending so I wouldn't burn myself, and it was nice and fulfilling once I got the true ending which fells like a nice beginning—not a closure—to what Hinako's life will be, now in her own hands and on her own terms. Also so sorry for the em dashes, I'm a chronic em dasher. Verdict: Good game, but better if you have the grit to get the true ending.
4/5 STARS! Silent Hill f delivers a haunting psychological horror experience. Its unsettling atmosphere, disturbing imagery, and strong visual design create a constant sense of dread, while the story keeps you curious about what is really happening.
