WOW I WAS NOT PREPARED HOW BAD THIS GAME WOULD BE.... AN ABSOLUTE TRAINWRECK FRANCHISE DESTROYER!!! Silent Hill was one of my favorite game series of all time. I waited decades for this??? Way too many negatives to list, ♥♥♥♥ you Konami, you'll never get another cent from me again.

[h1] 100% of achievements [/h1] ------ I completed this game 100% before leaving a review, and nothing is really bad, I never thought I would regret buying a Silent Hill (if you can call it Silent Hill) so much. ----- [b] Pro: [/b] -The setting is nice, the locations are mostly nice and well made. -The soundtrack isn't bad, it's worth listening to. -There's the classic troll-with-the-dog ending. ----- [b] Con: [/b] -Everything else -Horror atmosphere or in general details related to horror or the feeling of fear tension, a total ZERO, it's a walk in the park with a bat practically -The combat system is the weakest and worst element of the game, I'm sure that the developers didn't really play this game from start to finish to release something like this. -The story is boring, weak, and rambling. [spoiler] In the end, Hinako doesn't solve anything, she just procrastinates. Ironically, the first ending, where she's high on pills and goes on a rampage, makes the most sense. [/spoiler] -The monster design is meh, I mean, they're monsters that fit into the story's explanation, but they still remain banal? [spoiler] disfigured dolls armed with knives, representing Himiko's vision of wives, and male monsters trying to kiss the protagonist, and a mangy fox that reminds me of the one in the meme [/spoiler] -The puzzles are ridiculous, few of them too easy except for one due to translation issues, so it's not really difficult, you just can't understand what the text says. [h2] Final conclusion [/h2] As a Silent Hill fan, I do not recommend this game, too "soul like" (pardon the term), for those looking for a Silent Hill, but too classic horror for those looking for something innovative, I do not understand who this product is actually aimed at, better Silent Hill Home Coming if you want a more action-packed Silent Hill than usual (and SHHC is terrible, but better than f at this point), or recover other chapters like Origin, Downpour or Shatter Memories, if you are looking for something other than Silent Hill 2 which even today, after years, remains an incredible game in terms of story. combat issues aside - this is a hauntingly beautiful game with an amazing story that I just want to keep digging into some people have brought up some performance issues, i only had one VERY breif stuttering issue near the end and that was after nearly 60 hours of game play and high settings
