I really wanted to like this game, but Hinako is a huge part of why I couldn't get into it. She's just not a good protagonist. I never connected with her personality, and a lot of her decisions felt frustrating rather than believable. The game keeps putting her through dramatic situations and expects you to care, but I honestly found myself caring less as the story went on. Her character also feels inconsistent. She's constantly going back and forth between being vulnerable and overwhelmed, then suddenly she's taking on groups of enemies like it's nothing. I understand there's supposed to be deeper meaning behind it, but it didn't make her more interesting to me. It just made her feel poorly written. The story itself tries to do way too much. It keeps throwing more themes, plot points and symbolism at you until it becomes exhausting. Instead of letting the atmosphere and mystery speak for themselves, the game feels like it constantly wants to explain everything. The combat is also way too repetitive and takes up too much of the game. Eventually the constant fighting just kills whatever atmosphere was being built. Having to replay the game multiple times for more of the story didn't make me want to replay it either. The visuals and sound are good, but they aren't enough to save it for me. Hinako is a frustrating protagonist, the story is overstuffed, and the gameplay becomes a slog. I finished it, but I have no desire to play it again.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 20 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10.5 places towards #1, and the 2,491 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Recommended — especially if you are willing to play New Game+ Silent Hill f is a beautiful, disturbing and deeply ambitious psychological-horror game. Its 1960s Japanese setting gives it a unique identity, while the environments, music and creature designs create an atmosphere that is simultaneously elegant and grotesque. The story was the main attraction for me, although my feelings about it changed considerably over time. The first playthrough deliberately leaves many questions unanswered. New Game+ is not merely for stronger enemies or different endings: it adds new areas, documents, dialogue and scenes that substantially expand the narrative. I initially had no intention of replaying the game, yet eventually completed several runs because I wanted to understand the full story. I am glad I experienced the complete journey myself instead of watching it on YouTube, although repeatedly traversing the same locations became tiring. The puzzles were among the strongest parts. I played them on the higher difficulties and enjoyed having to properly observe the environment and interpret clues. Combat was less successful. Dodging, counterattacking and managing stamina can be enjoyable, but ordinary enemies often take too many hits and weapon durability becomes irritating. Fighting rarely provides a meaningful reward, so avoiding enemies is frequently the sensible choice. Even Casual difficulty primarily reduces incoming damage rather than dramatically shortening encounters. The narrative intentionally blurs psychological trauma, religious mythology and supernatural events. It explores identity, adulthood, friendship, family expectations and personal freedom. Some elements remain open to interpretation even after seeing the larger picture, but subsequent playthroughs make the central conflict considerably clearer and more satisfying. I encountered only one crash during my entire time with the game, although performance was not always perfectly smooth. Silent Hill f demands more patience than most narrative games. Someone completing only the first playthrough may reasonably feel confused or dissatisfied, while players willing to engage with New Game+ will discover a much richer story underneath. The repeated gameplay could have been condensed, but the atmosphere, puzzles, characters and eventual narrative payoff made the journey worthwhile. It is flawed, occasionally exhausting and perhaps too dependent on repeated playthroughs—but it is also memorable, emotionally layered and unlike almost anything else I have played.
cool game
8/10
An absolute favorite of mine. SILENT HILL f does an amazing job of turning social and psychological issues into a metaphorical horror world in a very subtle and thoughtful way. The story is layered and captivating, exciting and emotional at the same time, while beautifully mixing gorgeous imagery with truly grotesque and disturbing horror. For me, it absolutely captures that mysterious psychological thriller-horror feeling and atmosphere I expect from Silent Hill. It's unsettling, yet constantly makes you curious and pulls you deeper into its world. And beneath all of that, the themes it deals with are surprisingly heavy. I especially love that the game doesn't try to explain everything to you directly. It lets you think, interpret the symbolism, and slowly piece together what everything actually means. It's beautiful, disgusting, disturbing, sad, and sometimes genuinely touching all at once. SILENT HILL f was an absolute hit for me.
mu wapo muchas gracias
