Silent Decent is a highly-immersive first-person horror game with a rich and engaging atmosphere. Trapped in purgatory, you play as Samuel Harris who roams in an endless loop of anguish, pain and suffering. Can you find a way to save a tormented man's soul?

I have played many walking sims, and maybe this is one of the best. It is vaguely similar to LOCIS, because you have to walk through a seemingly neverending series of rooms, but the monotony of all this walking is interrupted here and there by jumpscares (most of which I didn't like very much, actually), puzzles, notes to read, and some chases. The creatures are unexpectedly cool-looking, and the puzzles are nice. Not astonishing or particularly fun, but nice. A short but incisive horror adventure, I recommend it to players who are looking for a simple but enjoyable game to pass the time.
Underzhel;ing Underwhelming, it's only mildly scary and I you can't redefine keys so I had to set my azerty keyboard to qwerty. In the later levels it became buggy, had to restart cuz I couldn't see where I was going, some bug put blood spatters all over my screen, this was fixed after a restart but then the ending itself was bugged! Had to restart again to actually see it. So I'd say don't bother unless you can get it super cheap.

El juego no está mal, me ha dejado una sensación extraña porque no me ha disgustado pero tampoco me ha encantado; aún así yo lo recomiendo pero rebajado.
I really truly enjoyed this game!!! This is a must play.
The eyes dude, the eyes
Dieses Game ist einfach nur Zeitverschwendung.... Einfach langweilig...kaum " gruselige Atmosphäre " , ein paar Rätsel ja aber sonst eher ein Laufsimulator
For what the game is with the graphics level, I think they did a great job. A few puzzles thrown in which were not too difficult made the game more fun. Story line was good.
No entiendo pq este juego es tan poco conocido, literalmente es el PT que nunca salió, lo he pasado 3 veces y las 3 me recontra cagué de miedo, ultra recomendado!
Not bad at all. It has that Silent Hill (P.T.) feel and nice puzzles. Now the graphics. They are pretty nice, it's mostly furniture and all. Now the monsters are okay. You don't see them a lot though. And the musics/sounds, they just fit the ambiance. The gameplay. Nothing hard : you move your character and you have a "use" button. It's really puzzle based, no action, so it doesn't need much. I'd maybe ♥♥♥♥♥ about the fact that there is no "fast walk" for one of the section of the game and for the last one (which has a looong walk portion). The great complain I'll make is that you really have to get VERY CLOSE to the doors to open them, thus giving motion sickness - and I'm used to FPS since more than 25 years and to VR games. The small complain is that there is no replay value. Good for a single run (the secret heaven trophy doesn't really count as a run). As for trophies, you normally get them all in one run : most of them are just game progress trophies. So in few words : a good game to play alone at 3AM instead of watching a horror movie. =) Or if you have a coward friend, watch him play with earphones and record him having a heart attack.
A really uninspired PT rip off. They seem to miss one of the major aspects that made PT such a good game was solving the mystery as you attempted to progress through the terror. Silent Descent on the other hand tells you exactly what's happening before you even buy the game and proceed to expand on it in the opening cutscene. This makes progressing through the game rather pointless as even the story you do discover is the same old deteriorating relationship plot that seems to be a part of every single one of these games. The monster sprites are laughable and not funny at all. The only fear this game brought me was out of surprise jumpscares and the puzzles are bland with varying degrees of usable instruction. The wrap it off the main end of the game had me laughing out loud which is a bad fit for any horror game. All in all, hard pass. I find it sad so many miss what made PT so special and stick us with these uninspired horror walking sims.
