I initially came across the mere idea of this game when I accidentally came across an Instagram post listing protagonists who've suffered in every way imaginable starting off with Isaac Clarke, and I give it a scroll! I come across Elster, allegedly someone who's had it as hard as Isaac Clarke. Eh? How're you as badly off as a random technician fighting manmade(?) horrors beyond anyone's comprehension? Then I realised emotional horror is also a thing. Upon looking into this game, I then see it was released on my birthday, and it apparently pays homage to what Resident Evil used to be. I become even more interested! I play, and am immediately hooked. This really does pay homage to how great Resident Evil was, back when it was a survival horror with tank controls. It is really scary. I am ashamed to admit I am not as bright as I once was in the puzzle solving department, having traded intellectual excercises for fps games and flocked to Google more than once in help with solving genuinely sophisticated puzzles that require you to recognize and utilise very minimal details in order to build a base of knowledge to use for solving puzzles. Absolutely do buy this game if it sounds good to you. You have my seal of approval to use Google to wiggle past a few very specific and very tricky puzzles. My god, I hated that astronomy one. I really am privileged to have the time and resources available to play games like this, I love compelling storylines. REMEMBER OUR PROMISE For the most complete experience playing this game, I recommend being fluent in Japanese, German and English at the same time. As if you or I know anyone who actually is.

The best game of this genre, amazing story-telling through environment, graphicly beautiful, musically stunning. It's a game you have to try at least once
